Abstract

Immunizations became serious world issues. A shared awareness to improve the nation’s health is not only a priority for developed countries but has become a common concern for most countries. WHO linked this adaptation campaign with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) to be achieved by 2030. Completed basic immunization data based on routine data in 2010-2013 has reached the target of the Ministry of Health's Strategic Plan, but in 2014 and 2015 it did not achieve the desired target. In 2015, coverage of basic immunization in infants in Indonesia reaches 86.5% compared to the target of a strategic plan that should reach 91%. In 2016, the basic immunization coverage finished up to 91.1%. The achievement of coverage basic immunization in Semarang has reached the minimum target that as 95% compared to the target in 2015. Operational strategy is quite high and evenly can be seen from the completeness of Universal Child Immunization (UCI) of the district. In 2016, the number of districts that have reached UCI with coverage criteria DPT 3, polio, and measles> 80%, as many as 177 urban districts from 177 urban district in Semarang (100%). The assessment of the safety and effectiveness of basic immunization in infants and children is still a social problem. The issue of vaccine rejection must be managed carefully. There is strong evidence supporting the MMR vaccine is not associated with the incidence of autism in children. Other strong evidence also suggests that MMR, DPT, Hib, and Hepatitis B vaccines are not associated with leukaemia in children. Evidence of serious post-immunization events is extremely rare and has a very low absolute risk.

Abstract

Semarang is the largest metropolitan city in Central Java, Indonesia with a high electricity consumption to support community activities, Main electricity of Semarang City is supplied by the State Electricity Company (PLN), and sourced from fossil fuels which are in fact unsustainable and high risk of environmental damage. The national government attempt to reduce dependence on fossil fuels by establishing a National Energy Policy (KEN) to increase the utilization of renewable energy (EBT) by around 23% in 2025 and 31% in 2050. To support this target, local governments need play a role to realize the utilization of EBT in their respective regions. The purpose of this study is to identify the source of EBT in Semarang which has the greatest potential to be developed as an energy substitute for electricity supply. This study uses quantitative descriptive methods and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) analysis to identify the potential of EBT in each region. The results of this study indicate that solar panels are the largest potential source of EBT with an estimated substitution in 2025 is about 19% of the total electricity demand in Semarang and 12% in 2050.

Abstract

Tembalang Higher Education Area is growing rapidly in line with the increasing number of Diponegoro University students. The development of the area and the increase of students number triggered the emergence of studentification which resulted in changes in the social, economic, cultural and physical structures. Hence, the rate of land conversion that has not been developed into built-up land, which is 31.8% of the total area where student residences are more dominant than communities’ residential. The studentification process that has been studied shows that housing demand that are not in accordance with the its availability can lead to vacant housing or a de-studentification phase which can harm the area. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the availability of student housing in the context of studentification. The research was conducted by analyzing the variable housing availability of students and using data on the type and location of student housing. The type of student housing itself is based on the theory of studentification that consist of HMO (House Multiple Occupation), PBSA (Purpose Built Student Accomodation) and Private Housing. Meanwhile, the student residential locations are grouped based on five sub-districts, namely Tembalang Village, Bulusan Village, Pedalangan Village, Sumurboto Village and Kramas Village. Data collection was carried out through field observations and through data from google maps and interviews with the owner of the student residence. The data obtained were then analyzed using quantitative methods with quantitative descriptive analysis tools and spatial analysis. The results of the analysis show that Bulusan Village has the most varied types of housing available, both HMO, PBSA, and private housing where the percentage of land area that is not built is still quite high (> 50%) and the second closest distance to the campus is after Tembalang Village. With this diversity, Kelurahan Bulusan has a high chance of being developed as a direction for residential development for students compared to Kelurahan Tembalang which is currently too congested. Thus the construction of residential spaces at KPT Tembalang afterwards can be avoided from vacant student residences or de-studentification.
