Abstract

Technological developments in the era of the industrial revolution 4.0 have changed the media used in developing Islamic culture. This paper tries to describe the development of Islamic culture to date. Various problems regarding developing technology raise questions regarding its use. The point of view that is widely used in viewing technology has not been able to represent the rationality of the technology itself. A rational reading of today's technology is possible to refer to the contemporary philosophy of Andrew Feenberg who has different views with his predecessors. The author uses a type of library research research with a qualitative approach. The analysis uses the viewpoint of Andrew Feenberg's technological rationality philosophy. As a result, the current technology makes access to Islamic cultural performances easier. One can watch a cultural performance anywhere and anytime and the spread of information and knowledge related to Islamic culture.

Abstract

Thе cеlеbratίon of thе Prophеt Muhammad's Mawlίd holds grеat sίgnίfίcancе wίthίn thе Ίslamίc world, but ίts obsеrvancе varίеs bеtwееn Sunnί and Shί'ί tradίtίons. Thίs papеr aίms to provίdе a comparatίvе analysίs of thе Mawlίd cеlеbratίon ίn Sunnί and Shί'ί Ίslam. By еxamίnίng thе hίstorίcal, thеologίcal, and cultural aspеcts of thеsе two tradίtίons, thе papеr aίms to shеd lίght on thе sίmίlarίtίеs and dίffеrеncеs ίn thеίr approachеs to commеmoratίng thе bίrth of thе Prophеt Muhammad. Ίn Sunnί Ίslam, thе Mawlίd cеlеbratίon ίs commonly obsеrvеd and holds a cеntral placе ίn thе rеlίgίous and cultural lίfе of many communίtίеs. Thе rеsеarch rеsults shows that Sunnί Muslίms commеmoratе thе bίrth of thе Prophеt Muhammad wίth varίous rίtuals, ίncludίng rеcίtatίons of poеtry, lеcturеs on thе Prophеt's lίfе, and communal gathеrίngs that еmphasίzе lovе and rеvеrеncе for hίm. Thе spеcίfίc practίcеs and customs assocίatеd wίth thе Mawlίd may vary across dίffеrеnt rеgίons and sеcts wίthίn Sunnί Ίslam. On thе othеr hand, thе Mawlίd cеlеbratίon ίn Shί'ί Ίslam follows a dίstίnct pattеrn ίnfluеncеd by Shί'ί bеlίеfs and practίcеs. Shί'ί Muslίms obsеrvе thе bίrth of thе Prophеt Muhammad and hίs dеscеndants, partίcularly thе bίrth of Ίmam Alί ίbn Abί Talίb, who holds a spеcίal placе ίn Shί'ί thеology. Shί'ί Mawlίd commеmoratίons may ίnvolvе rеcίtatίons of poеtry, sеrmons, and procеssίons that hίghlίght thе vίrtuеs and achίеvеmеnts of thе Prophеt and hίs famίly.Dеspίtе thеsе dίffеrеncеs, both Sunnί and Shί'ί Mawlίd cеlеbratίons sharе a common goal of еxprеssίng lovе and dеvotίon to thе Prophеt Muhammad. Thеy provίdе opportunίtίеs for bеlίеvеrs to dееpеn thеίr connеctίon wίth thе Prophеt, lеarn from hίs tеachίngs, and еxprеss gratίtudе for hίs rolе as thе fίnal mеssеngеr of Ίslam.

Abstract

This research aimed to comprehend Kuntowijoyo’s idea of Prophetic Social Science (Ilmu Sosial Profetik) from Material Religion perspective. Because it is intricately related to a matrix or network of components such as people, divine beings or forces, institutions, artifacts, places, and communities, it is interesting to come to a more profound comprehension of Islam in the sense of Kuntowijoyo’s Prophetic Social Science; enriching its understanding in a deeper and broader context of materiality. Carried out as literature research, this paper utilized the content analysis method to select and unify Kuntowijoyo’s works and then explained the results gained from the analysis. This research concluded that Prophetic Social Science was capable to be implemented within the framework of Material Religion; reconstructing an advanced conception of science, culture, and community from the Islamic perspective.

Abstract

The many issues of conflict in the name of religion have attracted the attention of leaders towards peace. Efforts offered such as inter-religious dialogue tend to be carried out after a conflict occurs. This article aims to offer an attitude of diversity through an understanding of multicultural values ​​as a way of peace before interfaith dialogue. This article uses a qualitative study in the form of a literature study. Data is collected through journals, books as well as other manuscripts that are considered to enrich the study. This study finds that peace efforts have been carried out by world leaders through interfaith dialogue. However, this dialogue tends to be in the realm of courtesy and prevents mere offense. Therefore, it is necessary to understand multicultural values ​​as an effort that becomes the attitude of each individual human being. This value must be instilled from an early age, such as respecting and accepting differences, and seeing the basic principles of equality as a unifying bond. Multicultural values ​​also inculcate to oppose forms of oppression, discrimination, war, and other crimes.

Abstract

This research is a research that discusses religious moderation and its implications for multiculturalism in Indonesia. Today the term religious moderation is increasingly being hoisted by the government as a concept that becomes a middle way and solution to pluralism in multicultural Indonesian society. This concept was initiated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs and was massively raised in the era of Minister of Religious Affairs Lukman Hakim Saifuddin. This research is positioned to try to dissect whether the concept of religious moderation has a good impact on multiculturalism in Indonesia. Where this research borrows a theory from John Rawls related to Multicultural Philosophy which is in line with the life of multicultural society in Indonesia. This research uses qualitative methods and library research type. There are several results found including, John Rawls' basic theory related to the philosophy of Multiculturalism actually arises from justice and mlticultural side by side with culture or culture. So from the clash of the meeting of these three variables, Rawls conceptualized at least several points that became the basis of Multicultural society, namely Justice as Fairnes, Veil of Ignorance, Maximum Rules, Reflective Equilibrium, and Principal of Liberty / Principal of Equal Liberty and Difference Principle. Meanwhile, in the concept of religious moderation in Indonesia, it has several indicators that indicate a society uses religious moderation or not. Some of these indicators are National Commitment, Tolerance, Anti-Violence, and Accommodating to Local Culture. Conceptually and theoretically it says that the concept of religious moderation has implications for multicultural society represented in John Rawls' philosophical theory of multiculturalism, but in practice it has not had a major impact due to several factors such as the large faktr of the Indonesian state and the uneven understanding of religious moderation for people in Indonesia.

Abstract

Indonesia is a heterogeneous country, where there is a lot of diversity in various aspects in it. This has an impact on the social conditions that occur in Indonesian society, both positive and negative impacts. One of them is the element of tolerance between religious groups that must exist in the strata of society, which sometimes becomes the cause of problems. The purpose of this paper is to discuss how the level of tolerance experienced by the Indonesian people, which can then be understood as the dynamics of life in a country full of diversity. This paper uses the library research method where sources are obtained from several types of sources, including: the Qur'an, Hadith, accredited books and scientific journals. Finally, the result of this paper is to tell full and sincere tolerance regardless of any background, which of course is based on the Qur'an and Hadith, so as to produce a condition of society full of peace, and with such tolerance the quality index of the nation can increase and other things can be further developed.

Abstract

This research will explain the music industry in Purwokerto. To obtain research data that can be accounted for, researchers carry out various steps and methods in obtaining data, including: 1) Observation, 2) In-depth interviews, 3) Data collection, 4) Data analysis and reduction. The aim of this research is to explain Islamic religious music and its influence on music industry activists and fans within the scope of a local band called Malwapatih. The researcher used the phenomenological theory of Alfred Schutz, and used a qualitative descriptive method which was carried out by in-depth interviews with sources, namely Malwapatih band personnel. The results of this research include: 1) Band members tend not to question these differences, and view differences as natural, just respect each other's differences of opinion regarding whether music is halal or haram. 2) The Islamic religious music industry has various influences on society, especially music industry activists, as well as fans of the industry. The influence of the music industry for its activists can provide additional income besides their main job, and Islamic religious music can be a tool to get closer to Allah SWT. Meanwhile, for those who enjoy it, listening to Islamic religious songs can also soothe the heart and soul. 3) The benefits of religious songs are as a means of getting closer to Allah SWT and increasing your love for the Prophet, through the lyrics of the song.

Abstract

       Social media is an online page for expressing yourself nowadays. Instagram is one of them, the features offered by Instagram make it easy to update daily activities. Instagram gave birth to celebrities who are influential in disseminating information through their uploads. In this research which uses qualitative methods and the simulacra hyperreality approach according to Jean Baudrillard, the results show that the endorser's role in carrying out this endorsement has an influence on the reality of life and religious practices. This condition needs to be re-examined critically, especially regarding the endorsement of Muslim women's products by male endorsers.

Abstract

Along with the development of the times, the human mindset is also growing. This also occurs in the perspective of humans in carrying out their beliefs, and some of them lead to acts of anarchy and religious bigotry. This paper attempts to explain the meaning of "Religious Freedom" as contained in Q.S Al-Baqoroh: 256 which will be examined using maqoshid interpretation studies. With the aim that the Muslim community no longer acts anarchically against minorities. Because it does not reflect the teachings of God and his Prophet. With the hope that we can coexist peacefully without oppression and coercion of beliefs. Thus creating an environment of harmony, tolerance and upholding human values. Because every religion must teach goodness in it.

Abstract

The formation of a sound interreligious dialogue concept is essential if different religious believers are to coexist peacefully. Many well-known religious experts have been working very hard to establish a foundation for interreligious discussion. Some of them have made an effort to conceptualize the notions of religious unity, in which all the many religions in this multireligious world could find common ground. placed. Let's start by looking at how people now interact with religion. People who argue that all religions' teachings are relative reject the idea that every one of them conveys the absolute truth. This is one of several kinds of human attitudes toward religion. They can be categorized as "relativists." People who reject all other religions and only accept their own as absolute are in the second group. This concept might be referred to as "exclusivism." People who look for a means to accept all religions as true fall into the third type. "Universalism" is the concept in question. We now have a better understanding of how people respond to the diversity of religions in "a highly globalized world," but we must ask again: how did people learn to adopt these mindsets?
