Abstract

Islamic boarding schools are seen as a non-formal educational institution that holds religious-based programs for its students. Nevertheless, Islamic boarding schools are often used as a legitimacy of gender injustice. This issue definitely needs to be reviewed by looking directly at the actual reality of education in it and its influence on the thinking of the students regarding gender equality. Thus, this study took the subject of Fathul Muin Islamic boarding school research by using Paulo Freire's philosophy of humanism because with his philosophical theory it can be studied about the role of Islamic Boarding School in providing awareness, especially for female students about gender equality and justice of rights. The results show that Fathul Muin Islamic boarding school education greatly influences the mindset of its students. The results of the interviews show that there has been an awareness of gender equality. However, the thing that needs to be criticized lies in the learning patterns of Islamic boarding schools which are not much different from other Islamic boarding schools, so reforms need to be carried out as a process towards values of liberation, humanism and equality.

Data was colected through direct observation of worship activites and we also conducted in-depth interview with the participants. At the analysis stage, the author uses Barthes semiotics to reveal the implementation of the meaning of worship by the takmir of the Purwokerto mosque. The results of this study show that the importance of worship at the time of the Apostle has a broader sense. Abstract

In order to protect the rights and obligations of UN special mission participants while they carry out their duties, this research aims to determine the legal arrangements for UN special missions. It also seeks to ascertain the UN's responsibility for UN special mission participants who die while performing their duties. Normative legal research is the kind of study that is employed. The findings demonstrate how crucial it is for UN special missions to have legal guidelines when performing their duties in order to guarantee that all actions are compliant with UN policies and goals. This entails compliance with international laws like the Geneva Conventions, internal UN policies, and approval from the nations in which the mission operates. When viewed from the perspective of sending countries against participants in special UN peace missions, there is protection in the form of compensation, medical assistance, and family support. Through this arrangement, the UN can carry out humanitarian and peace missions safely and effectively, and provide protection to mission personnel. The sending nation also provides training to the soldiers, including topics such as international law, human rights, law enforcement methods, and mission guidelines. Additionally, to help them deal with the difficulties they could encounter on a peace mission, participants receive training in stress management, communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution techniques. In order for mission participants to contribute to global peace in a secure and efficient manner, it is critical that these legal provisions be upheld and monitored. When a mission member dies while performing their duties, the UN is held accountable. They are required to look into the death with great care, support the relatives of the deceased, and make sure that future missions have stronger preventive measures in place.

Abstract

One of the primary focuses of International Law and its member countries is the resolution of disputes caused by armed conflicts. Armed conflicts, which have existed since ancient times, are generally triggered by various factors, but often, conflicts between countries arise due to the desire to control territories within a country. This study focuses on the normative legal research method, also known as the positive law research method, doctrinal law research method, and pure law research method. This method examines documented laws or customary social practices. In normative research, most of the data is obtained from secondary data sources, including primary, secondary, and tertiary legal materials. Additionally, the United Nations Security Council has the authority to order the International Atomic Energy Agency to inspect and verify a country's nuclear activities and facilities to ensure compliance with the NPT and IAEA protection agreements. If countries do not comply with or withdraw from the NPT, the Security Council can take action under Chapter VII of the UN Charter, including imposing sanctions or other enforcement actions, if deemed necessary. The UN Security Council is responsible for establishing a global arms regulation system. The system aims to reduce military power in various countries and enhance global peace and security. The Security Council must design a plan that will then be communicated to United Nations (UN) members regarding arms control regulations. Moreover, it is an important duty of the United Nations Security Council to ensure that all member countries comply with international treaties on Nuclear Weapons
