Abstract

Introduction: Indonesia is the fifth country with the highest number of Diabetes Mellitus (DM) sufferers in the world and is expected to reach 28.57 million in 2045. Diabetes Mellitus is a non-communicable disease that can affect anyone where knowledge, lifestyle and quality of life contribute to its incidence. the severity of the effects of the disease. The research objective was to determine knowledge, lifestyle, and quality of life of DM sufferers in rural areas. Methods: The design of this research is descriptive research. The sample of this study were 85 DM sufferers who were obtained using the technique purpossive sampling. Retrieval of data using Diabetes Knowledge Questionnaire (DKQ-24), Diabetes Self-Management Questionnaire (DSMQ), and WHOQOL-BREF. Results: The results of this study indicate that the respondents' knowledge about diabetes mellitus is good (89.4%), the lifestyle of people with diabetes mellitus is good (87.1%), and the quality of life of people with diabetes mellitus is good (92.9%). Conclusions: This shows the knowledge, lifestyle and quality of life in diabetics is quite good. Based on the results of the study it was concluded that the knowledge, lifestyle and quality of life of DM sufferers were in the good category.

Abstract

Introduction: The World Health Organization (WHO) records that around 1.7 million people die from pulmonary tuberculosis in the world, while in Indonesia it is estimated that 92,700 people die or around 11 people per hour due to this disease. One of the causes of death from tuberculosis was due to low compliance which ends in treatment failure. The aim of this research is to analyze the factors that influence the fulfillment of treatment for tuberculosis patients at the Bajeng Community Health Center, Gowa Regency. Methods: This type of research is analytical observational research with a cross sectional research design. The sample for this study was 93 outpatient tuberculosis patients obtained using the Accidental Sampling technique. Results: The results of the Spearman correlation test show that knowledge and family support has a positive correlation with the availability of treatment for tuberculosis patients (p= 0.000) (r= 0.852). The correlation strength of knowledge was 0.852 and family support was 0.742. Conclusions: The conclusion of this research is that good knowledge and family support will increase treatment compliance for tuberculosis sufferers at the Bajeng Community Health Center, Gowa Regency. It is recommended that there be support and motivation for tuberculosis patients in undergoing treatment.

Abstract

Introduction: The Hypertension is a cardiovascular disease characterized by increased blood pressure. Pharmacological and non-pharmacological therapies are one of the factors that can control hypertension. Pharmacological therapy involves the use of drugs which is the basis of a person's compliance with treatment. Adherence in taking medication also has factors that can influence such as knowledge, family support, access to health services. Knowing the relationship between knowledge and family support with adherence to taking anti-hypertensive drugs in hypertensive patients at the Matraman District Health Center. Methods: This study is a quantitative study with an analytical descriptive design and uses a cross-sectional approach. The population in this study were all patients aged 40-73 years who sought treatment at the PTM Poly of the Matraman District Health Center. The sample taken was 96 respondents using purposive sampling technique. Data collection using a questionnaire and then analyzed using the Chi square test. Results: The results of research conducted on 96 respondents obtained on the characteristics of respondents most of the respondents were 52-73 years old, female gender, and secondary education level. The results of the chi square test showed that there was a relationship between knowledge and adherence to taking anti-hypertensive drugs (p-value 0.03) and family support with adherence to taking anti-hypertensive drugs (p-value 0.01). Conclusions: The There is a significant relationship between knowledge and family support with adherence to taking anti-hypertensive drugs in patients with hypertension at the Matraman District Health Center.

Abstract

Plebitis merupakan peradangan pada daerah vena yang disebabkan oleh iritasi kimia atau mekanik. Plebitis merupakan peradangan pada daerah vena yang disebabkan oleh iritasi kimia atau mekanik. Hal ini ditandai dengan adanya daerah yang merah, nyeri, edema dan pembengkakan di daerah penusukan. Tujuan penelitian untuk mengetahui faktor prediktor dengan kejadian phlebitis pada anak di RS Mega Buana Palopo tahun 2023. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode survai analitik dengan pendekatan rancangan cross sectional, populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien yang terpasang kateter intravena dengan kejadian phlebitis di Rumah Sakit Mega Buana palopo sebanyak 45 orang dan sampel berjumlah 28 orang. Analisis dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji chi square. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan menggunakan lembar observasi. Data yang telah dikumpulkan selanjutnya diolah dan dianalisis menggunakan program statistik SPSS versi 16.Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Ada hubungan antara jenis kelamin dengan kejadian phlebis pada anak (p value 0.024% < a= 0.05), Ada hubungan antara lokasi pemasangan infus dengan kejadian phlebitis pada anak (p value 0.040% < a= 0.05), Ada hubungan antara lama pemasangan infus dengan kejadian phlebitis pada anak (p value 0.023% < a= 0.05).

Abstract

Peran educator adalah pendidik bagi pasien, keluarga pasien dan masyarakat yang memberi pengetahuan, informasi maupun pelatihan untuk meningkatkan kesehatan. Tujuan Penelitian ini menggunakan untuk mengetahui hubungan peran educator perawat pelaksana dengan pelaksanaan discharge planning pada pasien di ruang perawatan interna Tahun 2023. Pengambilan sampel dilakukan dengan survei analitik dengan pendekatan cross sectional. Sampel dalam penelitian ini adalah pasien rawat inap berjumlah 67 orang. Analisis data dalam penelitian ini menggunakan uji chi-square. Hasil dalam penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan antara peran educator perawat pelaksana dengan pelaksanaan discahrge planning (pvalue=0,015).
