Abstract

Government agencies often encounter challenges in enhancing the efficiency and accuracy of financial report management, particularly in the cash reconciliation process. This study, conducted at the Regional Financial and Asset Management Agency (BPKAD) of Mempawah Regency, addresses the inefficiencies of traditional reconciliation methods that require face-to-face interactions and up to two working days to complete. The research aims to develop the Official Cash and Operational Expenditure Information System (SIKASBON) using the Agile methodology, enabling a more responsive, flexible, and user-oriented financial data synchronization process. The system was developed through a structured approach involving requirement analysis, design, development, testing, deployment, and review. System evaluation using the System Usability Scale (SUS) yielded an impressive average score of 85.2, categorized as A+ (Best Imaginable). The findings demonstrate that SIKASBON significantly improves transparency and efficiency in managing cash and operational expenditures. Most notably, the time required for reconciliation was reduced from two working days to just 10 minutes. This research contributes to the digital transformation of public financial management by offering a scalable solution that aligns with user needs and promotes accountability in government operations.

Abstract

Radar is a crucial component of the Air Traffic Services system, supporting Air Traffic Controllers in monitoring aircraft movements and maintaining flight safety. At Airnav Indonesia Makassar Air Traffic Service Centre (MATSC) Branch, the radar disturbance recording process is still done manually, potentially leading to recording errors, reporting delays, and inefficiencies in technical evaluation. This study aims to develop a web-based radar disturbance monitoring and analysis system integrated with TopSky ATS that automatically detects, records, and visualises radar disturbances. The system is designed to recognise changes in radar status, calculate failure duration, record the number of disturbance events, and present this information in tables and dashboards in real time. Radar log data is obtained from the Control Work Position (CWP37) device via the TopSky Event Log, then parsed using the ASTERIX protocol categories 34 and 48, and stored in a MySQL database. The system was developed using the Waterfall model, while system evaluation was conducted through black-box testing and User Acceptance Testing. The results show that the system can accurately detect and display radar disturbance information in real time. The UAT, involving 10 technicians, demonstrated a user acceptance rate of 93.2%, categorised as very good. These findings demonstrate that the developed system can improve efficiency, accuracy, and timeliness in radar monitoring and support data-driven technical evaluations in air traffic services operations.

Abstract

This study aims to address the limitations of a web-based employee performance management system in a hospital environment characterised by high work mobility and limited computer access. This study designs and evaluates an integrated mobile- and web-based employee performance management system that enables real-time work-activity reporting and improves administrative efficiency. This study uses a Design Science Research (DSR) approach to develop and validate system artefacts as a technological solution. In contrast, the system development process follows the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC), which includes planning, analysis, design, implementation, and testing stages. The proposed system integrates a mobile application with a web-based e-performance platform through an Application Programming Interface (API), thus enabling real-time data synchronisation and more flexible access. The system's main features include user authentication, a performance dashboard, recording work activities, uploading evidence of activities, and performance reporting. The results of black-box functional testing across 18 scenarios showed a 100% success rate, indicating system reliability. Usability evaluation of 32 users yielded an average score of 4.38, categorised as very good, indicating high user acceptance. The findings of this study indicate that an integrated mobile-web system can improve accessibility, support real-time performance recording, and increase administrative efficiency in hospital employee performance management. This study contributes to the development of mobile-based performance management information systems in healthcare organisations. It demonstrates the effectiveness of combining DSR and SDLC approaches to produce practical, scalable information system solutions.

Abstract

The selection of rental housing is a multi-criteria decision-making problem involving factors such as price, location, facilities, security, and environment, making it difficult for prospective tenants to determine the option that best suits their needs. This study aims to develop a rental housing recommendation system model by integrating Multi-Criteria Decision Making (MCDM), Machine Learning, and Technology Acceptance Model (TAM). The Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP) is used to determine the criteria weights. In contrast, the Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) is used to rank rental housing alternatives. Furthermore, a Machine Learning approach using the Random Forest algorithm is applied to predict user preferences from historical data. System evaluation is carried out by comparing recommendation performance between AHP–TOPSIS and Simple Additive Weighting (SAW), testing the performance of the Machine Learning model, and analysing user acceptance using Structural Equation Modelling based on Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS) within the Technology Acceptance Model framework. The results show that the AHP–TOPSIS model outperforms SAW in recommendation performance, achieving 89.4% compared to 84.7%. The Random Forest-based Machine Learning model also demonstrated good performance in predicting user preferences. The SEM results showed that perceived ease of use significantly influenced perceived usefulness and behavioural intention; perceived usefulness significantly influenced behavioural intention; and behavioural intention significantly influenced actual use, with p-values < 0.05. The R-square value of 0.67 indicated that the model had strong explanatory power for user acceptance. This study developed a rental housing recommendation system model that not only objectively provides the best alternative but also adjusts its recommendations to user preferences, achieving high acceptance. This model has the potential to be applied in the development of recommendation systems in the housing sector and artificial intelligence-based decision support systems.

Abstract

ATM cards remain a primary means of banking transactions, despite the continued development of digital services. However, operational issues such as ATM cards being swallowed by the machine remain common and are generally handled through inefficient manual procedures that require customers to visit the bank in person. This study aims to develop an Android-based information system for reporting ATM card swappings to improve the efficiency, accessibility, and quality of banking services. The system development method used is the Waterfall model, which includes the stages of needs analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. The resulting system is designed to enable customers to report online, enabling faster handling by customer service without face-to-face interaction. Test results from the black-box testing method indicate that all system features operate according to established specifications and remain stable and functional. The implementation of this system has been proven to increase service response speed, simplify the reporting process, and reduce dependence on conventional procedures. This research contributes to the development of an integrated, real-time, mobile-based complaint service model for banking information systems. In addition, this research also strengthens the role of mobile technology as an enabler in the digital transformation of public services. Thus, the proposed system has the potential to be an effective and adaptive solution in improving service quality and customer satisfaction in the digital era.

Abstract

The increasing reliance on digital learning environments in higher education has not eliminated students’ difficulty in obtaining examination resources that are both academically credible and systematically organized, particularly for peer-assisted study. A web-based question-sharing platform was therefore designed and implemented to provide structured access to past examination materials within a governed collaborative environment. The platform was built using HTML, Bootstrap, PHP, and MySQL and incorporated secure authentication, role-based content management, and controlled resource sharing. System evaluation was carried out through functional testing, usability assessment, and security inspection involving undergraduate students and academic administrators; usability was captured using task completion rates and user satisfaction indicators. The evaluation documented stable system operation across core modules, high task success rates, and baseline protection against common web vulnerabilities through input validation and access restrictions. The platform also supported more consistent access to examination resources and fostered collaborative preparation practices by enabling regulated contribution and retrieval of materials. This work contributes design-oriented evidence to educational technology research by demonstrating how governance-aware architecture and usability-driven implementation can strengthen collaborative learning support without weakening assessment integrity in higher education contexts.

Abstract

The rapid expansion of digital health platforms increased access to healthcare services, yet many electronic healthcare management systems remained fragmented, poorly structured, and weakly integrated, limiting reliable appointment coordination, data consistency, and secure information access. This research developed and implemented a web-based electronic healthcare management system (e-HMS) using the Laravel framework to consolidate appointment scheduling, treatment documentation, and role-based interaction among patients, healthcare providers, and administrators. The system was developed using an agile software development approach, with iterative requirements engineering, architectural modeling, and modular implementation, following the Model–View–Controller paradigm. Empirical validation was conducted using requirement-driven unit testing across three functional modules, comprising 29 test cases derived from administrative, provider, and patient workflows. Functional conformity was assessed via pass fail analysis of authentication, appointment lifecycle management, treatment recording, and communication features, with all test cases passing. The resulting system demonstrated that workflow-oriented, role-based architectures can improve structural coherence and operational reliability in web-based healthcare platforms. This work contributed an implementable reference model for scalable and secure e-health system design, applicable to healthcare environments seeking interoperable, extensible digital solutions beyond local institutional contexts.

Abstract

Social assistance distribution in Bontoa Village, Maros Regency, was previously handled through manual records, which reduced administrative efficiency, constrained transparency, and increased exposure to data manipulation. A web-based information system was designed and implemented to support targeted distribution for low-income households at the village level. System development followed the waterfall model, covering requirements analysis, system design, implementation, and testing. Empirical inputs were obtained from field observations, document analysis, and user involvement during evaluation. Functional validity was examined through black-box testing, while user acceptance was measured using a structured questionnaire administered to ten respondents representing village officials and community members. Descriptive quantitative analysis produced an average acceptance score of 87.2% (44/50), indicating strong perceived usability and relevance. The implemented system improved data accessibility, strengthened structured beneficiary management, and supported more efficient administrative workflows in distribution and reporting. These findings add empirical support for deploying web-based governance tools in rural social assistance settings where administrative capacity and information control remain limited.

Abstract

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a critical role in economic growth and employment, yet their ability to remain competitive is often constrained by limited capital, fragmented information infrastructure, and uneven digital capabilities. In recent years, cloud-based information systems have been increasingly adopted as an alternative to conventional IT infrastructures, particularly due to their scalability, flexibility, and reduced upfront investment requirements. This study examines the design and implementation of cloud-based information systems in SMEs and evaluates their implications for operational efficiency and organizational scalability. Using a quantitative explanatory research design, data were collected from SMEs that have implemented cloud solutions and analyzed through Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that organizational readiness and security risk management are decisive factors shaping the effectiveness of cloud system implementation. SMEs with adequate preparedness and structured risk controls are more likely to achieve measurable improvements in process efficiency, data integration, and decision-making responsiveness. In addition, the findings highlight that modular and scalable system architectures allow SMEs to adjust operational capacity in line with market fluctuations while avoiding excessive infrastructure costs. By empirically linking system design choices with organizational and governance conditions, this study contributes an integrated framework to the literature on SME digital transformation. The results also provide practical guidance for managers and policymakers in formulating cloud adoption strategies that support long-term digital resilience.
