Magistrorum et Scholarium: Jurnal Pengabdian Masyarakat (JMS) merupakan ajang penyajian hasil kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat dengan akses terbuka bagi para insan akademisi, peneliti, mahasiswa, dosen maupun praktisi. JMSmerupakan publikasi berkala yang diterbitkan Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana (UKSW) Salatiga, terbit tiga kali dalam setahun (bulan Agustus, Desember dan April). Fokus JMS adalah menyebarluaskan karya inovasi dari aktivitas pengabdian masyarakat berbagai disiplin ilmu dengan rupa-rupa topik yang memiliki dampak bagi masyarakat dan bangsa. JMS merupakan bagian dari komitmen UKSW dalam menjalin relasi yang baik dengan masyarakat dengan menjunjung tinggi nilai-nilai Bhinneka Tunggal Ika. Keberagaman disiplin ilmu menjadi kekuatan dampak aktivitas pengabdian masyarakat.

Traffic violations by motor vehicles from 2018-2019 have increased quite rapidly. As an educational institution, the legal science study program cooperates with the traffic department of the Indragiri Hilir resort police to conduct socialization and assistance to students of the Sabilal Muthadin Islamic boarding school as an effort to tackle traffic violations. One of them is by taking precautionary measures to prevent police traffic violations committed by motorized vehicles, providing education about traffic and reminding the public about the importance of respecting traffic signs and installing traffic-related banners. Traffic violations among students in the Kepolisian area of the Indragiri Hiri resort can be brought down after mentoring.

As the confirmed Covid-19 cases increase, the health promotion and disease-preventing actions become more prevalent in the society, including the proper handwashing campaign. Thus, contactless handwashing machines were constructed to educate the society how to wash hands complying with WHO standards. This machine integrated all the steps of proper handwashing processes, starting from wetting the hands, applying soap, rinsing the hands, and drying the hands, automatically without the need of physical contact. For each handwashing step, an instructional voice is produced to guide the hand washer. The outcome of this community service is the availability of contactless handwashing machines in several spots in Salatiga city, which at the same time serves as educational tools for the society.

The purpose of BUMDes formation is to improve the welfare of the village community. However, the community does not yet have a sufficient understanding of BUMDes. Based on this reason, CoRRDev UKSW carried out community service in accordance with lecturer duties in the field of Higher Education Tri Dharma. The community service aims to deeper public understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects concerning BUMDesa governance and management. The community service was done in the form of online counseling, which took attendance from participants from BUMDes members, village officials, and its community. The community service also covered an evaluation of BUMDes governance that was carried out by each participant. The participants gave a good impression of the community service that the event has added their knowledge about many legal aspects, which they needed to concern on BUMDes governance.

Participation is an important aspect of democracy as well as the rights of citizens. The implementation of participation is also practiced by students when the emergence of the Criminal Code Bill in 2019 and Omnibus Law in 2020. The purpose of this Community Partnership program is to socialize student-style democratic participation to students of SMK Negeri 3 Salatiga. The specific target to be achieved in this devotional activity is the understanding of the understanding of ethical democracy and the call to critical thinking through media literacy before giving aspirations in democracy. Outside of this activity is scientific publications in the form of Journals as well as posters on Instagram. The method of implementing activities in achieving the objectives of community service is to conduct a webinar on the zoom application with students of SMK Negeri 3 Salatiga.

Pandemi Covid-19 membawa dampak luar biasa pada berbagai aktivitas kehidupan masyarakat di dunia termasuk Indonesia, salah satu dampaknya adalah pada aktivitas pembangunan berkelanjutan (sustainable development) di Indonesia. Artikel ini merupakan hasil pengamatan lapangan secara terbatas yang dilakukan di Kota Salatiga, hasil tinjauan di media sosial serta review literatur dan studi dokumentasi berdasarkan pemberitaan di media online yang bersingungan dengan pandemi Covid-19 dan dampaknya bagi pembangunan berkelanjutan di Indonesia. Artikel ini telah dipresentasikan dalam kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat online melalui webinar nasional untuk umum yang diselenggarakan oleh Center for Development and Cultures (CDC) dan Mennonite Diakonia Service (MDS) bekerjasama dengan Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana dan Universitas Kristen Duta Wacana dengan topik: “Justice, Peace, and Humanity Post Covid-19 Era”. Jumat, 12 Juni 2020. Salah satu penekanan dari artikel ini adalah pandemi covid-19 seharusnya menjadi New Norm bukan New Normal karena sesungguhnya kita berhadapan dengan situasi yang tidak normal.

UMKM are expected to be at the forefront of strengthening the economic pillars in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SGDs). This is because UMKM are one of the businesses that are most able to survive in a deteriorating economic condition, especially in the conditions of the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, UMKM must have good financial management so that the business can be sustainable. One of them is by having correct financial records and being able to compile the financial reports needed to make decisions in planning the next business strategy. UMKM Batik in Tegalrejo Village, Gedangsari, does not have good records so they are unable to produce financial reports. The results of training and assistance in making simple bookkeeping and compiling financial reports increase the awareness of UMKM of the importance of information generated by financial reports as a basis for decision making and formulating business strategies to achieve sustainable business.

Kampung KB Melati Bonorejo aims to improve the quality of life of the people in the area. In the Melati Bonorejo KB village, there are UMKMs which are managed by residents. However, the existing obstacle related to UMKMs is the lack of understanding of residents about how to sell their products by utilizing existing social media. Of course, by utilizing social media, it will be easier for residents to sell their products and be able to get a bigger market. This community service activity is carried out with a workshop method that aims so that residents can find out how products are going through social media. This activity also collaborates with the owners and employees of Naruna Ceramics Salatiga who have skills in marketing, especially digital marketing.

The importance of this community activity is carried out to provide assistance to the Tegalrejo Indonesian Christian Church in facing the New Normal. The objectives, firstly to provide assistance to the church, second to socialize to the Indonesian Christian Church Tegalrejo congregation, especially Sunday School children applying Clean and Healthy Behavior in facing the New Normal. The method used is the making of a Clean and Healthy Behavior videos with church administrators, socialization to Sunday school children. The result of this community service is a Clean and Healthy Behavior video for Sunday School children, an increase in the capacity of church administrators in arranging procedures for conducting worship, increasing the capacity of Sunday school children in implementing Clean and Healthy Behavior in the New Normal era. ABSTRAK Pentingnya kegiatan masyarakat ini dilakukan untuk memberikan pendampingan kepada Gereja Kristen Indonesia Tegalrejo dalam menghadapi New Normal. Tujuan, pertama memberikan pendampingan kepada gereja, kedua mensosialisasikan kepada jemaat GKI Tegalrejo terutama anak-anak Sekolah Minggu penerapan Perilaku Hidup Bersih dan Sehat (PHBS) menghadapi New Normal. Metode yang digunakan adalah pembuatan video PHBS dengan pengurus Gereja, sosialisasi pada anak-anak Sekolah Minggu. Hasil dari pengabdian masyarakat ini adalah video PHBS untuk anak Sekolah Minggu, Peningkatan kapasitas pengurus gereja dalam menyusun tata cara pelaksanaan ibadah, peningkatan kapasitas anak-anak sekolah minggu dalam melaksanakan PHBS di era New Normal.

Latkapuan menanam merupakan program kegiatan yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa Fakultas Ilmu Sosial dan Ilmu Komunikasi Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana sebagai bentuk dari pengabdian mahasiswa kepada masyarakat. Program ini ditujukan untuk ibu-ibu bhayangkari yang tinggal di asrama Pusdik Binmas Lemdiklat Polri, Banyubiru. Latkapuan menanam juga merupakan bentuk pemberdayaan perempuan di tengah kondisi pandemic covid-19. Latkapuan menanam memiliki tujuan untuk meningkat kemampuan ibu-ibu bhayangkari dalam kegiatan menanam dengan cara memanfaatkan lahan pekarangan dan limbah rumah tangga. Metode pelaksanaan program latkapuan menanam diawali dengan sosialisasi program, pelaksanaan program yang meliputi pelatihan, monitoring, dan pemberian awards kepada peserta latkapuan menanam.

This community services activity was addressed at students of SMA Kebon Dalem, Semarang city through a workshop on the processing of making TeKo (coffee tempeh milk) at the Research Camp event. The activity was carried out in the form of training on the processing of making TeKo and being a jury in journal presentations from SMA Kebon Dalem students. Tempe is a local agricultural product from Indonesia which is now worldwide due to its high protein content. The purpose of this service activity is to introduce local products that can be processed into functional drinks. The method used during the service is online through google meet, where the material from the workshop was explained first as an introduction then a TeKo processing demo was carried out. In the service activity, representatives from SMA Kebon Dalem were also invited to taste the results of the TeKo demo. The reception from respondents was very good regarding TeKo which can be used as a functional drink for those who do not like tempe itself.
