Computer Vision Syndrome (CVS) is a collection of symptoms related to computer use prolonged. This can occur from various factors consisting of individual factors, computer factors and environmental factors. Computer engineering students are a group of students who use computers in doing assignments and other activities in daily life. The purpose of this study was to determine the risk factors for CVS events in students of the Computer Engineering Study Program, Syiah Kuala University. This research is an observational analytic survey with a cross sectional. The sample used consisted of 164 students from the 2017-2019 class who were taken by the stratified random sampling method. Collecting data through self-assessment using a questionnaire. Statistical test using Chi square test for bivariate and to find out which risk factor is the most influential, multivariate analysis is used, namely logistic regression analysis. The results showed that 63.4% of Computer Engineering Students at Syiah Kuala University experienced CVS. The factors that were significantly associated with the incidence of CVS were gender (p=0.03), duration of computer use (p=0.01) and eye distance to the monitor (p=0.001).

Abstract

The Deepwater Horizon oil spill was the worst environmental disaster in US history. The oil spill reflects the dependence of the United States on the exploitation of fossil fuels. President Barack Obama seeks to bring about significant changes in US energy policy by promoting and expanding clean energy. However, the new policy faced resistance from Congress and the oil companies. This study aims to determine the impact of the Deepwater Horizon Oil Spill on US energy policy using rational choice theory. To achieve the expansion of rational choice theory in the Deepwater Horizon oil spill study, the researcher used qualitative methodology and case study method. The result of this study is that the Deepwater Horizon oil spill became a stepping stone for the transformation of US energy policy. The findings of this study are the linearity of clean energy development and US political commitment in developing the clean energy industry.

Abstract

This study aims to comprehensively determine the customer protection of Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil (BMT) from an economic law perspective. This study is a literature review, which uses a normative juridical approach. The data collection technique used in this research is the documentation technique. At the same time, the analytical technique used in this study is descriptive qualitative, where the author will describe the data related to Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil (BMT) in detail and then do an inductive analysis using the perspective of economic law. After conducting in-depth research, it was concluded that customers who deposit funds at Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil (BMT) do not receive guarantees from the government (because no law regulates it) if there is a crisis in BMT. Therefore, if a Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil (BMT) goes bankrupt, then based on the Civil Code (KUH Perdata), customers who deposit funds in Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil (BMT) are in the same position as concurrent creditors. As a concurrent creditor, the right to get a refund must be shared with other creditors after the Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil (BMT) assets are used to settle the obligations of the Baitul Maal Wa Tamwil (BMT) to the preferred creditor

Abstract

Islam taught by Rasulullah S.A.W, reached its golden age and became a reference to world civilization during the Umayyah, Abbasiah, and other dynasties which finally collapsed during the Ottoman Turks (1924 AD) which later made western civilization a reference point for civilization in this world. Under these conditions a big idea emerged to restore the glory of Muslims, especially in the field of science, the concept was known as the Islamization of knowledge, by Syed Naquib Al-Attas and Ismail Raji Al-Faruqi. From the two scientists, Al-Faruqi specifically made the concept of Islamization of knowledge in the context of teaching English by making a guide book "Toward Islamic English". This then encouraged the author to examine three books, "Islamic English" authored by Professor Muhibbin Syah, "English for Islamic Studies" by Professor Djamaluddin Darwis, and "English for Islamic Studies" by Doctor Kardimin, to study what Islamic materials are integrated into learning English and whether the textbooks apply the guide to avoid the distortion of Islamic terms made by Al-Faruqi or not. The final results show, of the three books, the content of "aqidah" is more than the content of "shariah" and "akhlak” and the three books also found distortions in transliteration and translation of Islamic terms in English.
