Abstract

In Indonesia, there are 20% of adolescents aged 13-15 years who smoke. The results of a survey conducted by Global Youth Tobacco in 2009 revealed that three out of ten children aged 13-15 years in Indonesia (30.4%) already smoked, and (19.4%) started smoking at the age of 10 years. Based on data from the 2017 Daya Utama High School counseling vulnerability map, it is known that of the 216 male students in Class X – XII, 35 of them have smoking cases in the school environment, and have academic achievements that are less than the KKM, for this reason, it is necessary to think about efforts to improve the cognitive function of students so that academic achievement can be improved. One of these efforts is exercising. The purpose of this study is to provide preventive and coaching efforts to adolescents to avoid smoking and increase physical/sports activity. The technique of assessing students' cognitive abilities uses the Backward Forward Digit Span method, which is to assess short-term memory  for 3 days with methods test and posttest. Research results Based on the results of the T test on smokers and non-smokers for 3 measurements, pre-test and post-test, the statistical test results obtained a Pvalue = 0.000, meaning that at 5% alpha it can be concluded that there is a significant difference between pre- and post-test cognitions. on smoking students and non-smoking students in the first, second and third day measurements. From the results of this study, it is recommended that the smoking ban continue to be enforced and pursued because the impact of smoking is not only physically damaging to the body but also reduces cognitive abilities, which will also affect learning achievement.

Abstract

Indonesia is a country that is rich in natural potential and is the target of the world market. As a developing country with abundant natural resources that can use a source of funds to advance its economy, it is in dire need of assistance from foreign investors, both in terms of funding and management technology. Indonesia must create a comfortable climate for foreign investors in attracting foreign investors. Because these foreign investors are pretty sensitive to legal and political stability issues and do not want to take risks, the government needs to make policies that make them willing and comfortable to invest their capital. In making these policies, it is inseparable from political members who sit in the state legislature. These legal policies must be able to accommodate the needs of the state for the welfare of its citizens and, on the one hand, must also be able to provide leniency for these foreign investors. Law and politics here very closely relate to influencing the arrival of foreign investors. Politics that have a position more independent from the law will determine the direction of policies and legal products taken. Law acts as a product of current politics.

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine the application of personal data protection to the use of the Peduli Protect. This is because, application users are required to register an account which will automatically include personal data. Practically, the use of the Peduli Protect application can benefit the wider community even though it has to intersect with the protection of personal data. The author finds that the implementation of the Cares Protect application is still vulnerable to misuse of personal data, therefore comprehensive and detailed rules are needed to protect users of the Care Protect application. So, the use of the Care Protect application to stop the spread of Coronavirus Disease (COVID-19) which relies on public awareness and participation can run effectively without any misuse of personal data and clear sanctions for violators after the COVID-19 pandemic ends.

Abstract

Morphological analysis and calculation of the number of white blood cells on microscopic images are stages in diagnosing leukemia. Constraints in developing a system for diagnosing leukemia are white blood cell segmentation and counting of the number single cells in touching cell. We propose to modify the Iterative Distance Transform For Convex Sets (IDTCS) method to separate the touching leukemia cells. The IDTCS method is used to determine markers for each cell in touching cells. The marker results from the IDTCS method are used as cell centroids and the next process is pixels clustering based on the nearest cell centroid using the euclidean distance function. The data used are microscopic images of Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). The experimental results show that using modified IDTCS method for clustering produces better accuracy compared to the K-Means clustering and Watershed methods.
