Abstract

This study is motivated by the increasing number of beginner golfers in Indonesia, particularly among younger age groups, which is not accompanied by adequate access to effective and affordable training. The main challenges faced by beginners include difficulties in performing consistent golf swings and the high cost of professional coaching. Therefore, this study aims to develop a wearable device business model, “Motion Plane,” as a technology-based solution for independent training. The research employed a qualitative approach using Business Model Canvas (BMC) analysis and a survey of 81 beginner golfers. The results indicate that more than 76% of respondents show strong interest in wearable technology capable of providing real-time feedback. The Motion Plane product features a glove-based sensor integrated with an AI-powered mobile application for motion analysis and progress tracking. From a financial perspective, the investment feasibility analysis demonstrates a positive Net Present Value (NPV), an Internal Rate of Return (IRR) above the cost of capital, and a relatively short payback period across different scenarios. In conclusion, Motion Plane is an innovative and financially feasible solution with strong potential to enhance the effectiveness of beginner golf training in Indonesia.

Abstract

The rapid growth of Japanese pop culture and the increasing popularity of anime merchandise have significantly influenced consumer behavior, particularly among Generation Z in Indonesia. The development of digital platforms has also transformed marketing strategies, where content creators, social media, and website quality play crucial roles in shaping consumer purchasing decisions. This study aims to analyze the influence of content creators, social media, and website quality on purchasing decisions at Kyou Hobby Shop. This research employs a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to Generation Z consumers who had purchased products from Kyou Hobby Shop. The minimum sample consisted of 96 respondents selected using purposive sampling. The data were analyzed using multiple linear regression with the assistance of SPSS software. Several statistical tests were conducted, including validity, reliability, classical assumption tests, t-tests, and coefficient of determination analysis. The results indicate that content creators, social media, and website quality all have a positive and significant influence on purchasing decisions. Among these variables, website quality shows the strongest effect on consumer purchasing behavior. The findings also reveal that the three independent variables collectively explain 74.3% of the variation in purchasing decisions. In conclusion, an integrated digital marketing strategy involving effective content creators, active social media engagement, and high-quality website performance is essential for improving consumer purchasing decisions at Kyou Hobby Shop.

Abstract

Employee performance is an important factor in supporting the effectiveness of public services, especially in the hygiene and environmental management sector which has a high level of risk and field workload. The Waste Management Unit (UPS) of the Setiabudi Reservoir Water Agency has a strategic role in maintaining the cleanliness of the reservoir and flood control in the South Jakarta area, so it requires human resources who have high work discipline and are supported by a fair and adequate compensation system. However, in practice, there are still various challenges related to discipline and perception of compensation that have the potential to affect employee performance. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the influence of work discipline and compensation on employee performance at the Setiabudi Reservoir Water Agency UPS. This study used a quantitative method with SPSS 27 analysis tools. Data was collected through the distribution of questionnaires to UPS employees of the Setiabudi Reservoir Water Agency as research respondents.  The results of the study show that work discipline has a positive and significant effect on employee performance, which indicates that compliance with rules, punctuality, and work responsibility can improve the effectiveness and quality of performance.  Thus, this study provides the implication that improving work discipline and improving compensation policies in a sustainable manner is a strategic step in improving employee performance and the quality of public services in the field of environmental management.

Abstract

This article theorizes the aestheticization of Saung, a traditional Sundanese shelter, as a strategy of cultural resilience rather than commodification. The research examines how the Saung is experienced, negotiated, and transformed by diverse social actors in contemporary Sundanese restaurants. Drawing on phenomenology, constructivism, and Bourdieu’s theory of practice, the research utilizes a quadrant model of design processes and a matrix of actor intentions. The research demonstrates that the Saung operates as an allegorical and affective space where embodied feeling (rarasaan), symbolic representation, material ecology, and adaptive design converge. Aestheticization is theorized here as counter-reification, a process through which tradition proliferates without becoming fixed. The article advances a second, theoretically distinct analysis by shifting the focus toward the mechanisms through which vernacular space endures. It argues that resilience is achieved through transversion, understood as the adaptive re-materialization of cultural codes, and through embodied affect that sustains cultural coherence amid contextual transformation.

Abstract

The implementation of electronic-based government systems, such as the Integrated Dynamic Archival Information System (SRIKANDI), is critical for enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of archival management in local governments. South Barito Regency has initiated the use of SRIKANDI to digitize archival processes, improving the management of incoming and outgoing documents. This research aims to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of SRIKANDI application implementation in South Barito Regency's regional offices, identifying both the benefits and challenges of the system. A mixed-methods approach was employed, combining qualitative data from interviews with 10 Regional Apparatus Organizations and quantitative data from the use of SRIKANDI across these offices. The study found that while the system has improved document processing speed, reduced paper usage, and streamlined workflows, significant challenges remain. These include inadequate infrastructure, insufficient training, and the continued use of paper documents in some offices. The findings suggest that further investments in infrastructure and comprehensive training programs are needed to optimize the SRIKANDI system. Additionally, the research highlights the importance of consistent implementation and monitoring across all sectors to ensure the system's success. The implications of this study contribute to understanding the hurdles and strategies for effective implementation of digital archiving systems in local governments, which could be beneficial for future digital transformation initiatives in other regions of Indonesia.

Abstract

Conventional monetary-based economic measurement is often biased, particularly in regions with a dominant informal sector and seasonal income fluctuations. This research aims to construct a Wealth Index in East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province as a more stable proxy for long-term welfare. Using microdata from the 2025 National Socio-Economic Survey (SUSENAS), the weighted principal component analysis (PCA) method was applied to 18 binary-transformed household asset variables. The analysis utilized R statistical software to ensure accurate population stratification into five welfare quintiles. Statistical validation results showed a Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin (KMO) value of 0.84 and a highly significant Bartlett’s test (p < 0.001), indicating excellent data suitability. The first principal component (PC1) was selected as the single index capable of explaining 20.84% of the total data variance. Loading factor analysis revealed that tertiary asset ownership, such as computers, air conditioners, and cars, possessed the highest discriminatory power, concentrated in Quintile 5 (richest), while households in Quintile 1 (poorest) were characterized by deprivational basic housing conditions. Spatially, an extreme center–periphery divide was identified, with welfare concentrated in urban areas such as Kupang City, while outer archipelagic regions remain underdeveloped. This study recommends asymmetric, place-based policy interventions, prioritizing basic infrastructure development in identified poverty pockets. Furthermore, the generated index is recommended as a robust proxy for modeling ability to pay in actuarial pricing and microinsurance schemes for the informal sector.

Abstract

The rapid growth of the coffee shop industry in Indonesia has intensified competition, requiring businesses to implement effective marketing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction. Factors such as word of mouth and celebrity endorsement are considered influential in shaping consumer perceptions and behaviors, particularly when supported by appropriate marketing strategies. The purpose of this study is to identify and analyze the effects of the variables word of mouth and celebrity endorsement on the customer satisfaction variable, with marketing strategy as an intervening variable. This research method employs multiple linear regression analysis, with data filtered using normality, multicollinearity, and autocorrelation tests. The results of the study show that each variable—word of mouth, celebrity endorsement, and marketing strategy—has a significant influence on the customer satisfaction variable. Meanwhile, the marketing strategyvariable is also significantly influenced by the word of mouth and celebrity endorsement variables. The role of word of mouth in this study is to form positive value perceptions through the use of buzzers and social media, while the role of celebrity endorsement is to create emotional engagement and pleasant experiences.
