Abstract

Accountability in village financial management is a fundamental principle that must be implemented by village governments to ensure transparency and responsible use of public funds. However, various findings in Sikka Regency indicate weaknesses in financial administration, suggesting that internal organizational factors such as work motivation, organizational commitment, leadership style, and apparatus competency may influence the level of accountability. This study aims to analyze the effect of work motivation, organizational commitment, and leadership style on the accountability of village financial management, and to examine whether the competency of village apparatus moderates these relationships in Sikka Regency. The study employed a quantitative research approach using Structural Equation Modeling–Partial Least Squares (SEM-PLS). Data were collected from village government officials involved in the Village Financial Management Implementation Team (PPKD). The analysis was conducted using SmartPLS software to test the relationships between variables and the moderating effect of competency. The results show that work motivation, organizational commitment, and leadership style have a positive and significant effect on the accountability of village financial management. However, the competency of village apparatus does not moderate the relationship between these variables and financial management accountability. Organizational behavioral factors play an important role in improving accountability in village financial management. Strengthening motivation, commitment, and leadership quality among village officials is essential to promote transparent and responsible financial governance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the impact of the Rumah Tidak Layak Huni (Rutilahu) program on the quality of life of the community through the improvement of healthy housing in Bekasi Regency. Using the World Health Organization Quality of Life–BREF (WHOQOL-BREF) approach, information was obtained on the effectiveness of housing renovations for uninhabitable houses from health, psychological, and social perspectives. This study conducted a comparative analysis between beneficiaries of the Rutilahu program and non-beneficiaries to evaluate the program’s actual impact on the community’s quality of life through improvements in healthy housing standards in Bekasi Regency. This study uses a qualitative method with a descriptive approach. Data were collected through observation, documentation, and in-depth interviews with six informants consisting of beneficiaries and non-beneficiaries of the Rutilahu program. The results of the study show that the renovation of uninhabitable houses has not made an optimal contribution to the development process and has not been effective in reducing the number of low-income residents or affecting the rate of population growth in Bekasi Regency. Analysis using the WHOQOL-BREF approach indicates that Rutilahu not only improves housing quality in terms of sanitation, ventilation, and structural safety but also has a positive impact on the quality of life of its beneficiaries.

Abstract

The digitization of tax administration has shifted from simply automating business processes to massive data integration known as Tax Administration 3.0. However, many tax authorities struggle with organizational unpreparedness, cybersecurity vulnerabilities, and low digital literacy among taxpayers. This research aims to analyze digital transformation strategies through three main pillars: organizational readiness, data security, and taxpayer education. Using a systematic literature review method and comparative analysis of best practices in Australia, Estonia, and the United Kingdom, this study synthesized findings from 45 academic articles, policy documents, and international reports published between 2015-2024. The study found that technological success relies heavily on changing organizational culture to data-driven, strengthening inclusive cyber architectures, and personalized educational strategies. The results of the literature synthesis recommend an integrated framework that aligns data protection regulations with the core tax system to ensure voluntary compliance in the digital economy era. This research provides a strategic framework for tax authorities to balance administrative efficiency with taxpayer data protection, ultimately supporting sustainable.

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the influence of price, online customer reviews, and online merchandising on customer loyalty, with purchase intention as an intervening variable at the Nusantara Medika Jaya Store in Samarinda on the Shopee platform. The population in this study consists of all consumers who have visited or transacted at the Nusantara Medika Jaya Store via Shopee within the last six months. The sampling technique employed was non-probability sampling with a purposive sampling approach, resulting in 211 respondents. Data were analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) with SmartPLS 4.0 software. The results of the study indicate that out of the ten hypotheses tested, four were accepted and six were rejected. The main findings show that online merchandising has a positive and significant effect on purchase intention, and purchase intention has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. Furthermore, purchase intention is proven to mediate the influence of online merchandising on customer loyalty. Price was found to have a positive and significant direct effect on customer loyalty but did not significantly influence purchase intention. On the other hand, online customer reviews were not proven to have a significant influence on either purchase intention or customer loyalty within this research model. These results confirm that online merchandising is the primary driver of purchase intention, while price serves as a direct determining factor in building long-term customer loyalty at the Nusantara Medika Jaya Store in Samarinda.

Abstract

Film as a cultural product functions not only as entertainment but also as a representational practice that constructs and reproduces social meanings. Women from Rote Island (2023) portrays women's experiences within an indigenous cultural context, particularly in relation to power relations, the female body, and gender-based violence. This study aims to analyze the representation of women in the film and the meanings constructed through its system of signs. This research adopts a constructivist paradigm with a qualitative descriptive approach. The method used was Roland Barthes' semiotic analysis, focusing on denotative, connotative, cultural–affective meanings, and myth. The research data consist of twelve film scenes selected purposively based on their relevance to issues of women's representation and gender relations. The analysis examines visual and narrative signifiers presented in these scenes. The findings reveal that at the denotative level, the film represents women's everyday life in an indigenous community as ordinary and natural. However, at the connotative level, women are constructed as vulnerable and subordinate subjects, while men are represented as socially authoritative actors. Cultural and affective dimensions reinforce this construction through the depiction of shame, fear, and resignation attached to female characters. At the level of myth, patriarchy and customary law are naturalized as legitimate social orders, positioning the objectification and violence against women as acceptable social consequences. This study concludes that Women from Rote Island not only reflects social reality but also actively reproduces patriarchal ideology through symbolic and affective representational practices.

Abstract

The rapid growth of mobile banking services requires banks to better understand the factors that shape customer loyalty in an increasingly competitive digital environment. This study aims to analyze the factors influencing customer loyalty in mobile banking services in the Jabodetabek area by considering perceived security, customer convenience, service quality, and perceived value, with customer satisfaction as a mediating variable. This research employed a quantitative approach using a survey method. Data were collected through an online questionnaire distributed to 451 mobile banking users and analyzed using SEM-PLS approach. The results indicate that customer convenience, service quality, and perceived value have a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty. Perceived security does not have a direct effect on customer loyalty, but it has a positive and significant effect on customer satisfaction. Furthermore, customer satisfaction has a positive and significant effect on customer loyalty and mediates the relationship between perceived security, customer convenience, service quality, and customer loyalty. However, customer satisfaction does not mediate the relationship between perceived value and customer loyalty. This study provides practical implications for banking institutions in developing strategies to enhance mobile banking customer loyalty through improved convenience, service quality, and overall customer experience management. Suggestions for future research include adding several variables, particularly trust, and expanding the scope of the study.

Abstract

Human resources (HR) are seen as a key factor in determining the success of an organization, including job training institutions which have a strategic function in preparing a competent workforce ready to enter the world of work. This study aims to analyze the strengthening of a competency-based training and human resource development system at Kartika Bawen Training Center (LPK Kartika-Bawen). The research focuses on how the training system is designed, implemented, and evaluated to support the achievement of trainees’ competencies in accordance with the Indonesian National Work Competency Standards (SKKNI). A descriptive qualitative approach was employed to obtain an in-depth and contextual understanding of actual training practices, existing challenges, and sustainable strengthening strategies. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, direct observation, and document analysis involving purposively selected informants, including institutional leaders, instructors, administrative staff, and training participants. The findings indicate that although the training system at LPK Kartika Bawen has referred to SKKNI, its implementation has not been fully optimized. Key challenges include limited instructor competence in utilizing learning technologies, infrequent curriculum updates, predominantly conventional learning methods, inadequate training facilities, and the absence of a comprehensive training evaluation system. This study recommends an integrated approach to strengthening the training system through continuous development of internal human resources, curriculum renewal, learning method innovation, modernization of training facilities, and the application of the four-level Kirkpatrick evaluation model to enhance graduates’ competency relevance and workforce competitiveness in a sustainable manner.

Abstract

The dynamics of the capital market in the post-pandemic era have become increasingly complex, influenced by both macroeconomic conditions and market activity. In Indonesia, fluctuations in the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG)reflect changes in market liquidity and price stability, making it essential to understand the role of key economic indicators. This study aims to analyze the effect of stock trading volume, inflation, the Rupiah exchange rate, and interest rates on the movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) during the period January 2022 to December 2024. This research employs a quantitative approach using monthly secondary data consisting of 36 observations obtained from the Indonesia Stock Exchange, Bank Indonesia, and the Central Statistics Agency. Data analysis was conducted using multiple linear regression, supported by classical assumption tests to ensure the validity of the model. The results of the study indicate that stock trading volume has a positive and significant impact on the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG). Conversely, inflation has a negative and significant impact on the index. However, the Rupiah exchange rate and interest rates did not show a significant partial impact on the movement of the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) during the study period. In conclusion, the movement of the Indonesian stock market in the post-pandemic period is primarily influenced by liquidity and inflation stability. These findings highlight the importance of maintaining stable economic conditions and active market participation to support sustainable capital market growth.

Abstract

The rapid development of digital technology has transformed marketing strategies in Indonesia, especially in e-commerce. Shopee, as a leading e-commerce platform, employs digital marketing strategies to attract consumers and maintain their loyalty. However, to stay competitive, it is crucial to understand the factors influencing customer loyalty, such as brand awareness, customer satisfaction, and customer engagement. Analyze the impact of digital marketing strategies, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction on Shopee's customer loyalty. Examine the role of customer engagement as a mediating variable in these relationships. This study uses a quantitative approach with a causal design. The sample consists of 200 active Shopee users in Batam. Data was collected using a six-point Likert scale questionnaire and analyzed using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) based on Partial Least Squares (PLS-SEM). The results indicate that digital marketing strategies, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction positively influence customer loyalty and customer engagement. Customer engagement serves as a partial mediator in the relationship between these three variables and customer loyalty. The study concludes that factors like digital marketing strategies, brand awareness, and customer satisfaction influence customer loyalty, with customer engagement acting as a mediator that strengthens these effects.
