Abstract

Changes in the function of the cardiovascular system in pregnant women are characterized by an increase in blood volume, cardiac output, heart rate, stroke volume, and decreased vascular resistance. Preeclampsia and hypertension contribute greatly to 10-15% of the total deaths of pregnant women in the world. Preeclampsia and hypertension in pregnant women is the biggest risk factor for low birth weight babies (LBW) because it can cause reduced blood flow to the placenta and fetal growth is stunted. The purpose of this study was to determine the relationship of cardiovascular system disorders in pregnancy with birth weight events. The method in this study uses the correlation description method with a retrospective approach. The population in this study were mothers who gave birth with cardiovascular system disorders in the delivery room of Arjawinangun Regional Hospital. The population in this study was 172 people in the period January - March 2019. The size of the sample to be studied as many as 47 people were taken by simple random sampling. Bivariate data analysis uses the chi-square correlation test. The instrument uses a questionnaire. The results showed that most respondents (63.8%) had hypertension and cardiovascular disorders and most respondents (63.8%) had normal birth weight. The conclusion of this study there is a relationship between cardiovascular system disorders and birth weight in Dewi Sartika Arjawinangun Regional Hospital {p value = 0,000; ? <0.05}.

Abstract

The aging process in the elderly can be divided into three stages, namely weakening of function, functional limitations, disabilities, and handicaps that arise as a result of this decline. The cognitive or intellectual system, namely dementia, is one of the body systems that experience decline. Dementia is a condition of progressive intellectual decline that affects cognitive and functional abilities. Dementia has a detrimental effect on the elderly if not treated immediately, including changes in the patient's behavior such as forgetting who he is, and the elderly who wander alone to a location are likely to get lost because they do not remember the direction home. The brains of older adults with dementia are found to be damaged, with cell death and loss of blood supply to the brain. The aim of this study was to determine the prevalence of senility in the elderly at Rojinhome Ikadaen, Okinawa. The magnitude of senility in the elderly in fulfilling daily activities was described using quantitative and descriptive methods in this study. Most of the older women (75-90 years old) had a history of hypertension, and most had moderate dementia. The elderly are required to be able to perform regular physical activities, ranging from low-intensity activities such as meeting daily needs to moderate-intensity activities such as participating in the orphanage gymnastics program to improve cognitive function.

Abstract

According to observations made on data from December 2021 to January 2022 at RSU Tabanan Medical Record Installation, out of 300 inpatients' medical records, , the damage caused by physical factors amounted to 90 (30%), chemical factors amounted to 58 (19.3%) and biological factors amounted to 88 (29.3%). The aim of this study was to identify the physical, chemical, and biological sources and forms of damage to medical records. The research sample for this study consisted of 300 inpatient medical records, 1 head of the Medical Record Installation, 7 filling officers, and a qualitative-descriptive research methodology. The study's findings reveal the physical, chemical, and biological factors such as a cramped space and fully stocked medical record storage shelves, roof leaks that encourage mold growth, a humid environment, and the presence of rats, and cats that wander into the medical record storage room that lead to damage to inpatients' medical records. Medical record covers that are ripped, disconnected, and yellow to brown in color as a result of mildew and dust are three examples of medical record degradation caused by these three variables. Based on the study's findings, it can be said that physical, chemical, and biological variables cause damage to inpatients' medical records, with the forms of damage such as being torn, loose, and yellow to brown in color.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is still a public health problem worldwide. Tuberculosis is an infectious disease caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis germ and is one of the 10 leading causes of death worldwide. The methods section should be able to explain the research methods used, including how the procedures were carried out. Tools, materials, media or research instruments must be well described. There is no gold standard for ILTB diagnosis. Tuberculin Skin Test (TST) and Immunoglobulin Release Assay (IGRA) are the WHO recommended ILTB tests. The purpose of TPT is to prevent the occurrence of TB disease so as to reduce the burden of TB. One of the efforts in preventing tuberculosis disease in children is the Bacille Calmette Guerin (BCG) vaccine. BCG vaccine is very effective in preventing tuberculosis in children, where children who do not get BCG vaccine have a 6.87 times higher risk of developing tuberculosis compared to children who get BCG vaccine. The effectiveness of the BCG vaccine in preventing tuberculosis is 85%.
