Abstract

Digital business transformation in the era of Artificial Intelligence (AI) has become a key driver for enhancing business competitiveness amid increasingly intense global competition and rapid technological advancement. The implementation of AI enables organizations to optimize business processes through automation, advanced data analytics, personalized customer services, and data-driven decision-making. This article aims to examine strategies for implementing AI in digital business transformation, identify the opportunities available to business organizations, and analyze the challenges associated with AI adoption. The study employs a literature review method by analyzing relevant academic journals, books, and research reports on digital transformation and artificial intelligence. The findings indicate that AI implementation significantly improves operational efficiency, productivity, product and service innovation, and customer experience, thereby creating sustainable competitive advantages for businesses. However, AI adoption also faces several challenges, including limited digital infrastructure, high investment costs, a shortage of skilled human resources, data security concerns, and ethical issues related to AI utilization. Therefore, an integrated strategy involving digital infrastructure development, workforce capacity building, supportive government policies, and collaboration among businesses, academia, and technology providers is essential to ensure successful and sustainable AI-driven digital business transformation.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze organizational behavior and work culture within the Satu Voice Student Activity Unit (UKM) Hadrah Division at UIN Sayyid Ali Rahmatullah Tulungagung, which serves as a platform for students to develop their talents in Islamic music and vocal performance. The study focuses on organizational dynamics, including communication patterns, leadership style, member behavior, and the work culture that shapes the organization's daily activities. The findings reveal that formal communication within the organization functions effectively and supports organizational coordination. However, informal communication among members remains relatively limited outside organizational activities, resulting in interpersonal relationships that tend to be functional rather than socially cohesive. In terms of leadership, the head of the organization adopts a democratic leadership style by encouraging members to express their opinions and participate in decision-making processes. Nevertheless, members' active participation in organizational activities remains suboptimal. Overall, the Satu Voice Hadrah Division has successfully established a well-structured organizational system that facilitates students' talent development. However, the organization continues to face challenges in enhancing member engagement and strengthening its organizational culture through the promotion of informal communication and greater social cohesion among its members.

Abstract

The success of the Umrah pilgrims' departure process is influenced not only by the operational system of travel companies but also by the competence of Tour Leaders as the primary companions of pilgrims. Tour Leaders play an essential role in ensuring that each departure stage, from document verification to boarding procedures, is conducted effectively according to established standards. This study aims to analyze the competence of Tour Leaders in supporting the smooth departure process of Umrah pilgrims at Adi Soemarmo Airport, managed by Svarga Tour and Travel, as well as to identify the challenges faced by Tour Leaders and the obstacles experienced by pilgrims during the departure process. This study employed a descriptive qualitative approach. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation involving five purposively selected informants consisting of Tour Leaders, an Operational Manager, and Umrah pilgrims. Data analysis was conducted through data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. The results indicate that Tour Leader competence, including knowledge, communication skills, coordination abilities, problem-solving skills, and professional attitudes, significantly contributes to the smooth departure process of Umrah pilgrims. The main challenges include incomplete travel documents, schedule changes, late arrival of pilgrims, and differences in pilgrim characteristics. This study highlights the importance of Tour Leader competence as an operational factor in improving the effectiveness of Umrah departure services at airports.

Abstract

This study examines how employees of KSPPS BMT Mandiri Sejahtera East Java interpret the meaning of their work and how these interpretations foster self-driven motivation. In Islamic microfinance institutions, work extends beyond economic objectives to encompass social and religious responsibilities, making work meaningfulness an important source of intrinsic motivation. This study employs a qualitative phenomenological approach. Data were collected through in-depth interviews, observation, and documentation involving employees of KSPPS BMT Mandiri Sejahtera East Java and analyzed using the Miles and Huberman interactive model, including data reduction, data display, and conclusion drawing. The findings indicate that employees perceive work as an act of worship, a trust, a form of community service, and a means of empowering the local economy. These interpretations are shaped by the interaction of personal values, organizational culture, leadership, and the social environment. Meaningful work encourages self-driven motivation, reflected in employees' initiative, responsibility, commitment, perseverance, and enthusiasm without relying primarily on external rewards. The study concludes that work meaningfulness is a key psychological foundation for developing sustainable intrinsic motivation in Islamic microfinance institutions. These findings contribute to the literature on meaningful work and provide practical insights for strengthening human resource management through the integration of organizational and Islamic values.
