Abstract

Purpose: This research is aimed to know the management of the Corporate social responsibility carried out by the PT. TEHT in Central Halmahera and also to know how the ideal mining management activity is which is based on environmental management and protection. Abstract

This study aims to discuss a midwife as a health professional, professional ethics in midwifery practices, the management of pregnancy and childbirth complication, and legal rights for nursing mothers. This qualitative research utilizes interview as a main instrument. The data are collected from interviews conducted with: 1.) pregnant women who gave premature birth, 2.) nursing women and families supporting breastfeeding program, and 3.) Public Health Office staffs. The study reveals that legal ethics between midwives and patients is significantly crucial. There is a need for effective communication between midwives and patients. Patients have the right to obtain information as clearly as possible and midwives also have the right to get the trust of patients to perform medical procedures without any interventions. In addition to the aforementioned result, this study reports that there is pregnancy and premature childbirth complication. It is a maternal health issue occurred during pregnancy causing premature birth. This study also highlights a breach of guarantee to nursing mothers who breastfeed up to 2 years of age. The results of study conclude three points. First, it reports informed consent. It is a process for getting permission before conducting a healthcare intervention on a person, or on disclosing personal information. Second, legal practice regulating rights for nursing mothers and its legal sanctions for someone who prohibits breastfeeding for working women or health workers who provide formula milk to newborns without medical indication. Third, the authorized party will conduct an investigative audit of cases of complications of pregnancy and childbirth that cause infant mortality.

Abstract

Objective: This study aimed to find out whether selenium could increase levels of antioxidants and decrease free radicals in lung tissue of Wistar rats after exposure to e-cigarette smoke. Methods: This study used an experimental method with control group design. Male Wistar rats with criteria aged 2–3 months, weighing 200-250 grams were used as animal models in this study to assess cell damage through the expression of Superoxide Dismutase, Glutathione Peroxidase and Malondialdehyde in the lung tissue using immunohistochemical staining. E-cigarette smoke containing 6 mg of nicotine was given to each group of animal models with differences in the amount and duration of time. The adaptation process in experimental animals was carried out for approximately 5 days. Results and Conclusion: Selenium has been shown to increase the expression of antioxidant superoxide dismutase and glutathione peroxidase, and decrease the levels of malondialdehyde in cells following oral administration of selenium in Wistar rats (p <0.05). In addition, selenium also reduced the amount of free radical in the cells; when it was given before exposed to e-cigarette smoke. It can be concluded that oral selenium can increase antioxidants levels and decrease free radicals in lung tissue cells due to exposure to e-cigarette.

Abstract

This research aimed to analyze the influence of providing health education and simulation method on the mothers’s knowledge and skill in handling first aid toward children at home. This research was a quasi-experimental research by utilizing two group pretest-posttest design. The sample size were 65 mothers, selected using purposive sampling. Data collection was carried out in the pre test and post test phases. In this case, the data were collected through questionnaires, observations and interviews. After the data has been collected, then analyzed using paired sample t-test. Regarding the knowledge, the statistical test result was obtained p-value of 0.000 (

Abstract

According to modern concepts, the marginal permeability of restorations, the presence or absence of micro leaks, are the main factors determining the service life of the restoration. The restoration of teeth is subjected to several different types of stress - one of which is temperature fluctuations in the oral cavity. It is known that when eating food, brushing teeth, etc. the temperature in the oral cavity changes and affects the physical and mechanical properties of the hard tissues of the teeth, as well as of the restorative material, and in some cases leads to deformation of the zone of connection of the restorative material with the tooth surface up to its destruction. The thermal cycling procedure makes it possible to simulate the influence of this factor on the conditions of functioning of the reducing material; this is achieved by exposing the sample to a limited number of thermal cycles, which means of an artificial "aging" of the sample in laboratory conditions. Keywords: Direct restoration, Indirect restoration, Inlay, Thermal cycling, Micro leakage, Marginal fit.
