Abstract

This research uses qualitative descriptive research. The data collection method was carried out using interviews and observation. Based on the results of research conducted regarding "Use of Instagram as a Media for Promotion of Makeup Services at Risa Vonda Make Up & Henna in Bukittinggi" it can be concluded that there are several uses made by Risa Vonda, this is in accordance with the new media theory put forward by Pierre Levy. First, the social interaction view: the existence of new media that creates space between users to interact and get information quickly because Instagram is one of the social media that can provide a great opportunity to use Instagram as a promotional medium. Second, the social integration view: the social integration view related to this research is that Instagram has become a habit for Risa's clients who follow it to get all the latest information. In this case, clients can also see photos or videos uploaded by Risa after the client uses her services. From there, we got views from clients and opinions from Risa Vonda's followers. In using Instagram media, of course, there are internal and external obstacles that Risa Vonda feels. First: Internal obstacles, namely not optimizing the Instagram Business features on Instagram, and lack of time. External obstacles are internet networks when they travel to areas where it is difficult to get internet access.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to apply the Project Based Learning (PjBL) learning model as an effort to increase student learning activity. Through the implementation of PjBL, this research aims to create a learning environment that stimulates active student participation. With a focus on Informatics subjects in class VII at the Sumatra Islamic Boarding School Thawalib Parabek. The main aim is to contribute to the development of learning methods that encourage students to be more involved and active in the learning process, while improving their understanding and practical skills. This research uses a qualitative approach by applying classroom action research methods. The data obtained from this research is explained descriptively. Data collection techniques involve several methods, including participant observation, interviews. Participatory observation is used to understand the dynamics of interaction between students and learning with the PjBL model. In-depth interviews were conducted with teachers and students to obtain their views regarding experiences and perceptions regarding the implementation of PjBL. Document analysis includes study of learning materials, project assignments, and notes related to PjBL implementation. It is hoped that the research results will provide a comprehensive picture of the impact of the PjBL learning model on student activity in learning Informatics. It is hoped that the data collected from various data collection techniques can provide in-depth and relevant insights regarding the role of PjBL in increasing student activity.

Abstract

Hoaxes as fake news trigger various debates and misunderstandings in society. The purpose of this research is to detect the receptive level of the Bakaru Village community who are new users of internet services. Before the community is easily influenced by false discourses that are difficult to control, the community must have the insight that not all writings or utterances on the internet, especially social media, are facts. This research method was carried out in conjunction with community service in Bakaru Village, namely in the Literacy Village activity. The results of this research are the level of trust of the Bakaru Village community in responding to hoaxes and introducing insights into hate speech. Despite being an underdeveloped and remote village, based on the results of the review, the Bakaru Village community has a foundation of belief not to easily believe in every new thing without confirmation from the hoax victim. Hoax news is not easily spread in this village because of the difficulty in interacting through social media, as well as hate speech that is not easily produced because the forum for expressing opinions on news is only through direct interaction.

Abstract

The distribution of cash assistance to street vendors and small shop owners (BTPKLW) is one of the efforts made by the Government to provide support to the informal sector in facing the economic impacts of the COVID-19 pandemic. One of the institutions involved in the distribution of Cash Assistance for Street Vendors and Small Shop Owners (BTPKLW) in Pekanbaru is the City Police Resort (Polresta). This study aims to analyze the communication model used by Polresta Pekanbaru in the distribution of cash assistance to BTPKLW, focusing on the Laswell communication model and the simple linear communication model with feedback. This research used a qualitative approach with data collection techniques such as observation, interviews, and documentation. The research respondents consisted of members of the Community Development Unit (Binmas) of Polresta Pekanbaru, street vendors, and small shop owners. The data analysis techniques used in this study are data reduction, presentation, and conclusions. The results of the study showed that Polresta Pekanbaru utilized various communication channels, including official websites and social media, as well as direct meetings with street vendors and small shop owners. The communicators, represented by the Binmas Unit of Polresta Pekanbaru, provided information on the requirements, schedule, and mechanism of cash assistance distribution to the vendors and shop owners. The messages conveyed by the communicators were clear and detailed. Feedback from the recipients was demonstrated through the completion of registration forms for prospective BTPKLW recipients. However, the study also identified several obstacles in the implementation of cash assistance distribution, particularly related to the verification of recipient data. These obstacles included inaccuracies in the data provided by the recipients, document authenticity, and data duplication. Based on the findings of this research, it is recommended that cash assistance recipients carefully pay attention to the information provided by the Binmas Unit of Polresta Pekanbaru, comply with the established procedures, complete the required documents accurately, ask for clarification when needed, maintain effective communication, and utilize the assistance wisely.

Abstract

This study aims to find out the requirements for writing news in the political rubric at metropolitan.id in terms of the completeness of the 5W+1H elements and the use of sources. This type of research is classified as explanatory using a quantitative approach. The source of data from this study is through the online media metropolitan.id. Then data was collected by conducting a survey using research instruments and distributing coding sheets to 3 coders with 3 news. To find out the agreement between the 3 coders on the category with a reliability test. To find out the research results of the two variables using rotated sampling and get 7 news samples that must be analyzed. The results of analyzing news from the category of completeness of the 5W + 1H elements and the use of sources. Sample 1 the completeness of news elements is 100% and the use of expert sources is 100%, Sample 2 the completeness of news elements is 90% and the use of expert sources is 100%, Sample 3 the completeness of news elements is 88% and the use of expert sources is 100%, Sample 4 the completeness of news elements 100% and the use of expert sources is 100%, Sample 5 the completeness of news elements is 90% and the use of expert sources is 100%, Sample 6 the completeness of news elements is 92% and the use of expert sources is 100%, Sample 7 the completeness of news elements is 81% and the use expert sources 100%.

Abstract

The use of web logs as a learning medium to increase interest in typing on mobile phones or computers and can issue all thoughts in the form of typing which is directly taught by UIN Sjech M. Djamil Djambek BUKITTINGGI students with the Department of Informatics and Computer Engineering Education, who are conducting Field Practice Implementation (PPL) at MTs N 7 AGAM on August 22 – November 10, 2023. manuskrip. Kemudian dilanjutkan dengan teks utama manuskrip. The use of blogs as a learning medium has not been carried out by educators with optimal informatics teachings. This is because many educators do not understand how and what steps must be taken in utilizing blogs as a learning medium. The use of blogs as a learning medium can be done at all levels both elementary, junior high, MTs, high school and vocational schools because students in general are accustomed to accessing information through the web. But in this paper, the use of blogs is more focused on junior high school / MTs and high school / vocational / MA education units because the planning of creating a blog is accompanied by steps to prepare online quizzes that will be embedded into the blog. This is done as an effort to prepare students to face UNBK. This study was conducted In this paper, described the steps in the use of blogs as a learning medium. This study begins by studying various literature and the results of similar studies to get an overview of the use of blogs as learning media. After this study, information was obtained that various problems in schools related to learning media can be overcome by utilizing blogs as learning media. In the future, it is hoped that educators can use blogs as a learning medium so that they can attract more interest and attention from students.

Abstract

Food is one of the main needs in life for survival. This is because the energy the body needs for activities and body metabolism is obtained by consuming food. Therefore, consuming food can maintain body health and the body's metabolism can work well. In this study, the aim was to detect objects in food images, namely the types of food such as fried chicken, hamburger, seblak, baso aci, and bakwan. The method used for object detection is Mask RCNN. Previously, the image will be pre-processed, namely the resizing and annotation process. The research results show that object detection in food images has an accuracy of 72%.

Abstract

Facing the dynamic landscape of the telecommunications industry, this research delves into key challenges in the operational efficiency of network management. The approach involves designing and implementing an innovative Telegram bot, specifically crafted to map the locations of Optical Distribution Points (ODP). This bot enables technicians to easily access information by entering the ODP name through the Telegram platform. The research methodology employs a descriptive method and a development method using the waterfall SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle) concept, suitable for small-scale projects. Unified Modeling Language (UML), including Use Case Diagrams and Activity Diagrams, aids in the system design. The author conducted an in-depth identification of field technicians' requirements, storing ODP data in Google sheets, including ODP name, geographical coordinates, address, partner, (GPON), and status. The Telegram bot implementation displays location information linked directly to Google Maps, providing essential details such as address, partner, type (GPON), and ODP status. This Telegram bot implementation demonstrates a significant positive impact, contributing to the effectiveness and empowerment of field technicians in managing ODP data. Discussions involving bot success evaluation and potential work effectiveness underscore positive outcomes. The research anticipates that all technicians at PT Telkom Akses Samarinda can utilize this bot to enhance their operational workflows.

Abstract

In the midst of the rapid development of information and communication technology, education requires innovative transformations in learning methods. Animation has been recognized as an effective tool in enriching students' learning experiences through clear and interactive visual representations. The aim of this research is to analyze literature related to the use of animation as a learning medium, explore the advantages and challenges of its use, and convey the contribution of this research in the development of innovative learning practices. The method used in this research is a literature study, where data is obtained through analysis of theoretical sources and related research. The results of the literature study analysis show that animation has great potential to increase student learning motivation, involvement, creativity and personalized learning. However, it is important for educators and researchers to pay attention to good animation design and the role of educators in facilitating the effective use of animation. This research contributes to the development of innovative learning practices and enriches understanding of the use of animation as an effective learning medium in increasing student learning motivation

Abstract

To maintain the smooth operation of the company, efficient inventory management becomes a crucial aspect. Essential regulation involves managing the inflow and outflow pf goods. With the company’s growth, the task of managing available inventory becomes increasingly complex and high-risk. PT XYZ is one of the service-oriented industries, particularly in hospitality service. This research aims to assess the extent of efficiency in implementing softwere-based Management Information Systems (SMART) in the purchasing request or procurement of operational necessities within the hotel industry. The research methodology employed a qualitative descriptive approach, gathering data through observations, interviews, and documentation. The research findings delineated an overview of PT XYZ’s back office management information system, analyze the advantages of applying this system, identify operational challenges, as well as management hurdles and influential factors affecting the operation the back office infotmation system.
