Abstract

This research aims to examine the process of instilling Islamic values in early childhood amid increasing exposure to digital content and to analyze the contribution of parents and teachers in shaping children’s character. This study used a qualitative approach with a case study design in Islamic-based early childhood education institutions. Data were collected through participatory observation. The findings show that the internalization of Islamic values, including monotheism, morals, discipline, responsibility, and manners, is more effective through habituation, exemplary behavior, positive reinforcement, and the integration of values into directed and controlled digital play and learning activities. Parents serve as the primary companions in building children’s digital literacy in the family environment, while teachers act as learning facilitators and role models in strengthening character at school. Continuous synergy between families and educational institutions strengthens the formation of children’s religious character from an early age. The implication of this research is the need for Islamic value-based digital parenting programs, a value-integrated early childhood curriculum, and teacher capacity building in digital literacy and character education so that digital media can be used as an educational space for holistic child development in the digital era

Abstract

The school environment plays a strategic role in supporting children's well-being in early childhood, encompassing physical, social, emotional, and psychological aspects. This study aims to analyze the importance of the school environment in realizing early childhood well-being through a literature study approach. The method used is a literature study by reviewing various national and international journal articles published in the last ten years. The results of the study indicate that children's well-being is a multidimensional concept influenced by the interaction between children and their surroundings, including the school environment, which includes physical conditions, social interactions, and psychological climate. A positive and supportive school environment, such as a safe and comfortable learning space, warm relationships between teachers and children, and opportunities for play and exploration, has been shown to contribute to children's social-emotional development and happiness. In addition, children's well-being is also an important foundation for the success of the learning process, so that the school environment functions not only as a place of learning but also as a holistic growth space for early childhood. Thus, it can be concluded that the school environment has a high urgency in realizing children's well-being in early childhood. Therefore, optimal efforts are needed from educators and educational institutions to create a conducive, inclusive, and child-oriented environment

Abstract

This study aims to describe the importance of "Child's Voice" in the context of early childhood well-being, specifically focusing on how child participation in decision-making processes contributes to their social-emotional welfare. While adult perspectives often dominate child-rearing, this research emphasizes that listening to children is a fundamental human right and a core component of subjective well-being. The research method used is a qualitative literature review, analyzing various academic journals and theoretical frameworks related to child agency and participation rights. Implementation results from various literature sources indicate that providing children with opportunities to voice their opinions ranging from daily routines to classroom rules enhances their self-esteem, autonomy, and sense of belonging. The evaluation of this concept shows that active participation acts as a buffer against social exclusion and psychological distress. The results then serve as the basis for formulating follow-up for educators and parents to create a more inclusive and democratic environment. Overall, integrating the child's voice into family and educational settings is a crucial strategy for achieving holistic children's well-being. This is a guideline for writing the Early Childhood Education journal.
