Abstract

Cultural diversity and the plurality of Indonesian society is one of the wealth of the archipelago which is a distinct characteristic of other nations. The uniqueness of Javanese culture is an interesting study to examine. Nyadran culture is one of the customs that has become a tradition in the community around Mount Merapi, Yogyakarta, namely the event of cleaning graves and sending prayers to relatives and ancestors who have died. In the Pakem area of Dusun Kledokkan Yogyakarta, the Nyadran tradition still holds a meal together in the area around the cemetery and is attended by both Muslims and non-Muslims. This research is a phenomenological research with a qualitative approach, with a literature review and field observations through interviews with local community leaders, to then be presented in a descriptive analysis. The results of this study are Nyadran is the result of acculturation of Javanese culture which is influenced by Hindu teachings and has been Islamized. This shows a gradual change in the Nyadran process, such as a party or funeral meal that has been allocated in the area outside the tomb or pavilion. There was even something held at the house of Mr. Kadus to strengthen the friendship between the family members who were buried in the tomb. In the perspective of the Qur'an, this Nyadran activity can be likened to a pilgrimage to the grave which is one of the sunnahs to remind oneself of death that is sure to come.

Abstract

The word Tatsbit comes from the word tsabata, which literally means permanent. And the term means determination / firmness. While al-Qalb is taken from the root word, namely Qalbun which means heart. So when combined Tasbit al-Qalb what the researcher means is to strengthen the heart that is leaning on the Prophet Muhammad. There are several factors that cause the tasbit of al-Qalb of the Prophet Muhammad, including the presence of terror, intimidation, persuasion, severity of torture and actions that befall Rasulullah saw, isolation, wounds wrapped in grief. As for the wisdom of prophetic stories in the Al-Qur'an, Allah presents as a soul strengthener or strengthens the heart of the Prophet in his missionary journey to uphold Allah's words. In the stoory of the Prophet Yusuf as. itself, and the meaning of the context can be seen from the relationship of the story of the Prophet Yusuf as. which was revealed to the Prophet Muhammad. by looking at the situation or events that surround the prophetic history of the Prophet Muhammad. While the story of the Prophet Yunus as. it was an inspiration for the Prophet Muhammad when he experienced rejections at the beginning of the Prophet starting his da'wah, and when the angel Gabriel wanted to offer help to the Prophet to punish the Ta'if who had denied and rejected the Prophet, he forbade it. Then Allah SWT also comforted the heart of the Prophet Muhammad on the journey of Isra 'Mi'raj. It was during this spiritual journey that the Prophet Muhammad received the command to pray.

Abstract

This study seeks to explain the existence of the divine religion during the Fatrah period (the era of the void of the prophet), which started from the appointment of Prophet Isa AS to the sky until the appointment of Prophet Muhammad SAW as an apostle, as well as the condition of the divine religions that existed at that time when in the hereafter because Allah clearly will not punist his servants before sending an apostle. By using library research and theological approach in the form of Kalami. The study concludes that the meaning of fatrah is a period of prophetic emptiness that began when Prophet Isa AS was appointed to the sky until the appointment of Prophet Muhammad SAW as an apostle by Allah SWT. While the existence of the divine religions at that time experienced a high level of moral damage, because there are many changes and storages that make the heavenly religion lose its authenticity, so that at that time a Prophet and apostle was needed who could invite people toreturn to the path of truth. The status of those who lived during the fatrah period who died before getting the da’wah of monotheisem were survivors and declared as a group of the people of heaven. But those who believe in other than Allah will enter the people of hell.

Abstract

This paper seeks to explain kalimat sawa' in interreligious relations from the perspectives of Hamka and Nurcholish Madjid. Kalimat sawa' is a concept derived from Surah Ali Imran: 64 of the Qur'an frequently employed in interreligious relations. However, scholarly opinions on this concept differ. Some based this concept on religious pluralism, and some rejected it because it confirms that Islam is the only religion that Allah has blessed. Two notable Indonesian intellectuals, namely Hamka and Nurcholish Madjid, are associated with these two distinct concepts. This concept warrants further investigation because it is anticipated to be one of the approaches in interreligious relations. This type of research is qualitative and based on both printed and digital library research. Using comparative analysis, the author describes the perspectives of the two figures to be analyzed and compared in order to reveal their distinct thought patterns. According to Hamka, kalimat sawa' referred to in the Qur'an is an invitation to the Ahli Kitab group to return to monotheism, thereby establishing Islam as the only true religion. In contrast, Nurcholish Madjid interpreted the kalimat sawa' as an effort to unite religions on common ground. This idea is related to the concept of al-Islam as an attitude of submission to God so that no single religion has a monopoly on truth claims. Despite their differences, the idea of kalimat sawa' is an appropriate approach to interreligious relations, which is a similarity between the two.

This study aims to look at the student perspectives of those who memorize the Qur'an towards Jilboobs as a new trend. Qualitative method with purposive sampling technique. This study used 6 subjects with certain criteria, namely Islamic students, memorizing the Qur'an, and participating in Islamic studies. Based on the results of the study, it showed that Jilboobs was not in accordance with the proper Islamic studies. For all subjects, even though Jilboobs are considered a new trend, it does not make Islamic students who memorize the Qur'an follow trends because for them the benefits or purpose of wearing the hijab is to cover the genitals (the whole body). For the six subjects, not following the Jilboobs trend did not make him feel out of date, as a memorizer of the Qur'an, it was appropriate to have the morality of the Qur'an by implementing Islamic law and avoiding harm in Islam so that it was an obligation to wear the hijab according to Islamic law

Abstract

Da'wah is part of the commands of the Qur'an. Many of the several verses of the Qur'an describe the concept of da'wah. With the development of the era, the method or approach of da'wah must be able to reach the reality on the ground. The concept of da'wah brought by the Walisongo is certainly different in terms of approach, culture, society and strategy. In the QS. al-Nahl verse 125, it is explained about several methods of da'wah, namely wisdom, mauidzah hasanah and mujadalah. By using qualitative methods and content analysis, this article concludes that the da'wah approach in navigating the era of disruption can use the Walisongo's footsteps, namely the theological approach, scientific approach, institutional approach, social approach, cultural approach, structural approach, and economic approach. From these several approaches, da'i can pick and choose from the several approaches above to serve as a way of preaching in the era of disruption.

Abstract

The Qur'an is a multi-interpreted holy book, even one word in it can be interpreted with many interpretations that have different trends. This is due to the depth of meaning contained in each word in the Qur'an. Among the words in the Qur'an that are debated among Muslim scholars is the word istawa, the word is seen differently by two paradigm currents that oppose each other, namely the current paradigm of taslim, one of which is led by Imam Ibn Taymiyyah, and the current paradigm of ta'wil, one of which is led by Imam Ar Razi. These two currents further confirm that the Qur'an is universal and multi-interpretive, and add to the treasures of Islamic science, especially in the branch of Qur'anic interpretation and Islamic creed.

Abstract

Reciting the Qur'an is an essential worship for Muslims. Reciting it is worth merit if it is recited correctly according to the rules of tartil (in proper order). One of the components of tartil is knowing a good place to stop in reciting the Qur'an so that, it is not mistaken in the meaning intended in it. The Muslim community has confusion when recite one manuscript of the Qur'an with a particular waqf sign(to stop recitation in the end of word) and then recite another manuscript of the Qur'an with a different waqf sign. In this study, the researchers describe what mazhab (school) of waqf ibtida' is used in various famous manuscripts worldwide and Indonesia. Then provide a comparison of the sign of waqf in QS. al-Qashash, which is in the Medina manuscripts and al-Quddus manuscripts. This study uses a library research with descriptive-comparative method by comparing the two manuscripts of the Qur'an about the existing waqf ibtida' mazhab. It was found that there were differences in the placement of the place waqf along with the sign of the waqf. And from these two Qur'an mushafs, each has a basis to take place and sign of waqf which can be accounted for.
