Abstract

NEWA (Nature, Ecotourism, Wellness Tourism, and Adventure) is a new trend developing in the tourism industry in the era of the passing of the Covid-19 pandemic. The pattern of NEWA concept development that tends to be fragmentative causes the exploration of each concept to be more limited. Efforts to optimize NEWA are carried out through blending concepts in the frame of eco-wellness tourism. Therefore, an effort is needed to formulate the concept of eco-wellness tourism, as well as how to apply the concept in the implementative realm. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research approach, through the Forum Group Discussion (FGD) technique involving cross-disciplinary experts. Eco-wellness tourism combines healthy tourism destinations in wellness tourism with an environmental conservation orientation typical of ecotourism such as traditional spas, herbal concoctions, gastronomy, aromatherapy, and hypnotherapy as its activities, which are packaged in the concept of interactive activities with nature such as thematic camping, adventure, exploration, and rural tourism.

Abstract

This study examines the nature of Minahasa traditional marriage in the perspective of Protestant Christian beliefs, describing the acculturation process between local traditions and religious teachings. The study shows that Minahasa traditional marriage has undergone significant transformation with the inclusion of Protestant Christian influences, creating a unique synthesis between traditional and spiritual values. The role of family and community in marriage remains significant but has undergone reinterpretation, encompassing aspects of spiritual and material support. Traditional concepts such as 'mapalus' (gotong royong) took on a new dimension in the church context. The responsibilities of husband and wife have also shifted towards a more egalitarian direction, although some traditional aspects remain. In conclusion, Minahasa traditional marriage in a Protestant Christian perspective reflects the harmonization between cultural heritage and religious beliefs, showing how tradition and modernity can go hand in hand. This study provides valuable insights into the dynamics of culture and religion in Indonesia, and highlights the importance of an ongoing dialogue between customary traditions and religious teachings in the context of social change.

Abstract

Social media live shopping has grown rapidly and become common in Indonesian e-commerce since 2020. The development of live and real-time interactions between streamers and audiences establishes trans-parasocial relationships. The relationship is an extension of the parasocial concept, where this seemingly reciprocal relationship occurs between streamers and their audience. This study aims to explore the processes and patterns of forming trans-parasocial relationships between streamers and audiences during TikTok Shop live shopping sessions in Indonesia. This study employs a qualitative method with a netnography study conducted during TikTok Shop live session and post-session comments on X/Twitter. The data include verbal statements from the streamers and audiences on the chat sections, as well as the audience’s posts with keywords related to streamers on platform X/Twitter. Based on data categorization analysis, this study identifies five aspects of the formation of trans-parasocial relationships; (1) building proximity, (2) engaging in self-disclosure, (3) addressing personal acquaintances, (2) receiving audiences’ responses, and (5) creating a reciprocal interaction. The proximity between streamers and audiences can be virtually built by both parties by incorporating conversations about topics rather than products during live sessions. The formation of trans-parasocial relationships leads the audience to keep watching TikTok live shopping and could become a strategic online marketing communication method.

Abstract

This study analyzes the effect of safety culture on employee safety performance at a Coal Fired Power Plant (CFPP) in Java, as well as the mediating role of safety communication and moderating role of service years. This study aims to investigate the direct and indirect effects between the variables of safety culture, safety communication and employee safety performance. In addition, the study also explored the moderating role of service year in the relationship between safety culture and employee safety performance. Data was obtained from distributing questionnaires to CFPP employees using a stratified sampling method. SmartPLS SEM. The findings reveal that safety culture does not have a significant direct effect on employee safety performance. However, safety communication significantly mediates the relations between safety culture and employee safety performance. The service year does not moderate the relationship between safety culture and employee safety performance This indicates that other factors such as continuous training, reward system, and work environment may be more influential in this context.

Abstract

The data analysis technique used in this research is descriptive statistics analysis techniques and inference analysis techniques with the aim of studying the research variable itself. In relation to the variables and samples mentioned, the techniques used to collect data are observation, questionnaire and documentation and according to Setiono and Riwonoto (2015) states that the Likert scale is the psychometric scale that is generally used in the questionnaire. And the instrument to be used to measure alternative responses is the Likert scale, this scale can be measured by choosing the perfect alternative answers, with the value used being 1 to 5 variables, so the researcher concluded that the questionnaire distributed to teachers with variables (X) is the influence of the activity of the teachers (GTP) and variable (Y) is the effectiveness of teaching mathematics, from the dependent and independent variables used by the researcher to find out whether or not the influence of one variable on another variable. Thus the results of the inference statistics analysis on the influence of the activity of the Working Group teachers (GTP) with a sample of 27 shows that the table = 0, 9 with a count = 2. Because the largest count of the table (2 > 0,9) is that we can say that we revenue Ho and accept Hi with his conclusion that there is a significant influence between the Activity of the Working Group dose teachers on the effectiveness of mathematics teaching (Y) at EBC Fahisoi Lequidoe and EBC Besilau Laulara.

Abstract

Grapes (Vitis vinifera L) are a recommended fibrous food, advised to be consumed in quantities of 300g – 400g per capita per day. Grapes are popular due to their delicious, sweet, and fresh taste, and their high nutritional content, especially vitamins C and A. The method used in this research is an experimental method with a Completely Randomized Design (CRD), consisting of 5 treatments with one factor. The results of these 5 treatments were then analyzed using analysis of variance (ANOVA), and if there were significant differences between treatments, they were further tested with the Least Significant Difference (LSD) test at a 5% significance level. The results of adding egg white to grape juice processed into grape juice were analyzed with the following average values: color with an average value ranging from 2.20 (A) to 3.40 (E), aroma with an average value ranging from 2.07 (A) to 3.60 (B), taste with an average value ranging from 2.20 (A) to 4.20 (C), and viscosity with an average value ranging from 1.93 (A) to 4.33 (C). This research shows that the best formulation for making grape juice (Vitis vinifera L) with the addition of 36 ml or 14.4% egg white (albumin), 250 grams of grapes, 500 grams of granulated sugar, and 2500 ml of distilled water has the highest score of 15.19 compared to other treatments.

Abstract

The library is one of the contributing factors or a supporting tool in the educational process at schools, ranging from elementary to higher education levels. A school library is any library organized within a school, where it is essential to have books that support and serve as references for students. The school library plays a vital role in supporting the educational process, providing essential resources for students to enhance their knowledge and complete assignments. This study explores the impact of library usage on the mathematics achievement of Grade III students at Escola Básica Central Vasco Da Gama Manatuto during the first trimester of the 2014 academic year. The research questions focus on whether the library influences mathematics achievement and if students who use the library perform better than those who do not. The study involved 112 students, with a sample of 56, and utilized parametric statistical analysis. The results showed a significant influence of library use on mathematics achievement, with a determination coefficient of 36.72%, meaning that library utilization contributes significantly to students' performance in mathematics, while the remaining 63.28% is influenced by other factors. The t-test results confirmed that students who used the library performed better in mathematics than those who did not. Based on these findings, the author suggests that students should be encouraged to utilize library resources effectively, the government should prioritize the development of school libraries, and librarians should provide welcoming and supportive service to students.

Abstract

Social media, such as Twitter, enable immediate and delayed interaction with a wide audience. Online personas of political figures, such as the X account @aniesbubble, are in the spotlight in the 2024 election campaign, especially in attracting the attention of potential young voters in Indonesia. This research aims to ana-lyze the critical multimodal discourse on X @aniesbubble account in the context of the 2024 election political campaign. The main focus is to understand how multimodal ele-ments are used to shape opinions and interactions with audiences, as well as the implica-tions of using this strategy in cultural and political contexts. This research uses a qualita-tive method with a multimodal critical discourse analysis approach. The main data was taken from the X @aniesbubble account in the time period before the general election until the determination of the election winner. The analysis was conducted based on Norman Fairclough's theory, which includes three levels of analysis: text, discursive practice and social praxis. Additional data was obtained from relevant books, news articles, and journal articles. The research found that the @aniesbubble X account succeeded in creating an authentic and attractive political persona for the younger generation through the use of glocalization and cultural hybridity strategies. The account also demonstrates the dynamic interaction between global and local influences, and is able to convert social capital into economic capital through the active participation of fans. The findings suggest that social media plays an important role in shaping political and cultural narratives.
