Abstract

In the midst of the rising popularity of Subscription Video On Demand (SVOD), the industry faces significant challenges. The high churn rate and the abundance of competitors in the SVOD industry necessitate that service providers develop strategies to maintain consumer interest. Consumers who significantly contribute to the high churn rate are Generation Y and Generation Z, also known as digital natives. This study aims to analyze how factors within the Expectancy Confirmation Model can influence the Continuance Intention of SVOD users. This descriptive study employs a cross- sectional design. The respondents of this study consist of 159 active SVOD users. The findings reveal that confirmation and individual mobility significantly influence perceived usefulness. Additionally, confirmation, perceived usefulness, and perceived enjoyment significantly affect satisfaction. Furthermore, satisfaction, perceived usefulness, and habit are significant predictors of continuance intention. However, the influence of individual mobility and perceived enjoyment on continuance intention is not significant. Practically, this study provides insights for SVOD service providers to develop marketing strategies that enhance consumer habit and satisfaction. Academically, this study combines two models from previous researchs making the model and variables used more comprehensive in explaining the predictors of continuance intention.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the communication planning employed by the ICONNET 150678 Contact Center in handling customer complaints through inbound call services based on Philip Lesly's communication planning model. The research method used is in-depth interviews with a qualitative approach involving three internal ICONNET informants. The results show that the ICONNET Contact Center plays a crucial role in managing customer complaints through inbound call services. ICONNET implements systematic steps such as customer data verification, complaint analysis, and the application of First Contact Resolution (FCR). Regular evaluations have led to increased customer satisfaction and a reduction in unresolved complaints. Innovations such as the MyICON+ application facilitate customers in checking bills and reporting issues. Overall, the effective communication strategies and systematic handling of complaints by the ICONNET Contact Center significantly contribute to enhancing customer satisfaction and loyalty.

Abstract

M-Learning is a learning process that uses technology or mobile devices such as smartphones, tablets or wearable devices to support the learning process. This is still being done because there are many different theoretical models proposed. However, there is no model that can be generally accepted as an established theoretical model in the application of M-learning in vocational and high school education environments in Sidoarjo. This research is expected to make a significant contribution to the development of a better theoretical understanding of the determining factors that influence M-learning adoption using the Unified Theory of Acceptance and Use of The Technology (UTAUT). To collect data, researchers distributed questionnaires to respondents using Google Form. The data used were 444 M-learning users. Theoretical model research was carried out using Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis, then SPSS and Amos as analysis support. There are seven factors that determine the results of acceptance of M-Learning adoption in this research, namely Facilitating Condition, Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Perceived Convenience, Social Influence, School Management Support. The six factors that show a positive and significant relationship are Facilitating Condition, Performance Expectancy, Effort Expectancy, Perceived Convenience, Social Influence, School Management Support. Perceived Convenience has the first strongest positive and significant value, and Performance Expectancy has the second strongest value. Each factor has a moderate influence on Intention to Use. This factor is the most influential in implementing M-Learning in vocational and high schools in the Sidoarjo area.

Abstract

Management of educational facilities and infrastructure will have an impact on the optimal, effective, and efficient implementation of educational activities in schools. SMAN 71 Jakarta is known for its lush and comfortable environment, as well as adequate facilities and infrastructure to support the implementation of education in the school. Therefore, this research aims to determine how the management of educational facilities and infrastructure is conducted in SMAN 71 Jakarta. This study is a qualitative research using a descriptive approach. Data collection techniques in this research are conducted through observation, interviews, and documentation, known as data triangulation. Interviews were conducted with eight informants related to the management of educational facilities and infrastructure in the school. Furthermore, data analysis techniques in this research are carried out through three stages: data reduction, data presentation, and conclusion drawing. Based on the research results, it can be concluded that SMAN 71 Jakarta has implemented seven main functions of management of educational facilities and infrastructure, namely planning, procurement, distribution, inventory, maintenance, storage, and disposal, quite well although there are still some challenges in its implementation.

Abstract

The ability of critical thinking is a skill in depth and logic with various scientific activities for making decisions. This research aims to determine the differences in critical thinking ability of students who receive problem based learning model and students who receive lecture method; differences in critical thinking ability of experimental class students who have low, medium and high learning motivation; and the effect of interaction between using problem based learning model and learning motivation on critical thinking ability of class VIII students in Social Sciences Subjects at Kalimanggis 2 State Junior High School. The research method used was a quasi-experimental method with a factorial design. The research subjects were 48 students of class VIII of Kalimanggis 2 State Junior High School, divided into class VIII.A (experiment) and class VIII.B (control), each with 24 people. Data collection techniques used field research with instruments in the form of tests and questionnaires. Hypothesis testing used two-way analysis of variance. Based on the research results, it can be seen that there were differences in critical thinking ability of students who received problem based learning model and students who received lecture method; there were differences in the critical thinking ability of students in experimental class who had low, medium and high learning motivation; and there was an interaction between the use of problem based learning model and learning motivation on critical thinking ability of class VIII students in Social Sciences Subjects at Kalimanggis 2 State Junior High School.

Abstract

Coastal fisheries in Tanjung Medang Village, North Rupat District, Bengkalis Regency play an important role in shaping the economic characteristics and culture of its community. Physically, the North Rupat District is predominantly divided into residential areas along the inter-village roads and coastal areas that serve as the primary source of livelihood for most of its population. Now, North Rupat District has become a destination for both residents and visitors, impacting the existence of increasingly complex local economic resources and wisdom along the coastal areas of North Rupat District. Revitalization of coastal fisheries production factors is needed to improve economic life. Therefore, what model of economic development policy is needed to access traditional local economic resources to reduce local poverty? What kind of revitalization is required for traditional fishermen to utilize maritime economic resources fairly for the local population? The economic development policy for alternative marine economic resources involves integrating and collaborating the rights and obligations of state actors, private actors, and the public in maritime politics and economics. The revitalization of coastal fisheries production factors includes organizing the ecological integration of areas as traditional fishing grounds, tourism economic areas, and the originality of traditional culture across various disciplines, as well as fostering cultural integration among stakeholders and intergenerational concern among the Tanjung Medang community.

Abstract

Human resource development (HRD) in public organizations, including the Batangkaluku Agricultural Training Center, is crucial for achieving success and effectiveness. Technology, government policies, and other external dynamics are factors that influence HRD strategies. This research aims to identify alternative HRD strategies that are suitable for the organization's needs and potential. Through SWOT (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats) analysis and QSPM (Quantitative Strategic Planning Matrix), this research presents an overview of the organization's internal and external conditions as well as alternative strategies that can be adopted. The findings of this research contribute to the HRD literature and provide practical guidance for public organizations to formulate focused and relevant strategies. The conclusion of this research outlines the results of IFAS and EFAS, which yield several alternative strategies, such as developing the competence and excellence of the BBPP in agricultural workforce training, being responsive to the needs of the agricultural sector with training programs, actively promoting training programs and expanding partnership networks, and establishing a monitoring and evaluation system, with the third strategy showing the highest score in QSPM.

Abstract

The recovery of financial losses suffered by subsidiaries should prioritize recovery efforts that have a non-punitive nature or without punishing a certain person who is considered responsible for the management of BUMN subsidiaries unless there is intentional unlawful conduct and there are elements of criminal acts in it. In accordance with the principle of business judgment rule, the directors can be exempted, because the directors are considered to have made business decisions in accordance with good faith. In this research, the author uses a descriptive analytical research method, because the author will describe or provide an overview of the object under study through the data collected. The form of research used in this writing is normative legal research, because this research uses legislation and court decisions and also legal norms that exist in society. Researchers also collect data in the form of decisions from the corruption court on corruption cases that harm state finances. Losses arising in subsidiaries of SOEs whose capital is not sourced from the state budget or is not equity participation of SOEs and does not receive or use state facilities, are not included in the State's losses. the role of the business judgment rule if the person commits acts of criminal acts of corruption not due to encouragement or coercion and/or business decisions that are not based on prudence from the directors, the directors will be free from legal liability.

Abstract

This qualitative study investigates novice English teachers' perceptions of their professional development and the challenges that they experience in their teaching careers. A questionnaire and semi-structured interviews were used to obtain data from two novice English teachers. Purposive sampling was utilized to identify participants who may give beneficial insights into the subject matter of the study. According to the findings of the study, both teachers displayed an extensive understanding of the pedagogical competencies essential to effective teaching, demonstrating the necessity of continuous advancement in academic skills, teaching techniques, and subject competence. They recognized professional development as a combination of formal experiences, such as workshops and mentorship, as well as informal experiences related to their academic discipline. Furthermore, the novice teachers highlighted the significance of personal and social competencies in their professional journey, including individual skills, positive personality traits, and fostering strong relationships with students and their families. In regard to professional development approaches, one teacher participated actively in the school's professional development program and attended seminars, whilst the other is currently studying for a master's degree to improve teaching quality and strengthen knowledge. The two approaches emphasized the need for continuous development and learning in the professional experiences of novice teachers. The study additionally highlighted challenges that novice teachers encounter, such as difficulty responding to curricular shifts, limited resources, and concern about employment rights. These findings shed light on the experiences faced by novice English teachers and offer suggestions for strengthening professional development programs and educational support systems.

Abstract

Jakarta City as a representation of major city in Indonesia with the highest positive patients infected with covid 19. Various attempts were made by the central and regional governments to break the spread of pandemic covid 19, one of which was to impose Large Scale Social Restrictions (PSBB). However, efforts to overcome government efforts do not seem to be balanced with public awareness to be involved in implementing regulations and to be part of efforts to cope with the spread pandemic covid 19 and recovery. Based on these facts, this study tries to identify the presence or absence of citizenship, the types of citizenship that exist in the people of DKI Jakarta and what efforts can be made to activate citizenship in Jakarta. In the PSBB situation the research method is carried out using a mixed method (quantitative and qualitative) using a questionnaire and in-depth interviews through digital media. The results showed that the type of citizenship that exists in the people of DKI Jakarta at the moment is passive citizenship. However, the results of this study also indicate the potential for community participation that show great potential to build or strengthen social solidarity and capital. It is therefore important to encourage the transformation of activation from passive citizenship into active citizenship including institutional strengthening, so that citizens not only have citizenship rights, but at the same must be obliged to engage in various efforts to overcome the pandemic and recovery after the pandemic occurred.
