Abstract

In the 19th century, the use of cosmetics began to gain attention, not only for beauty but also for health. Facial serum is a skin care product in the form of a gel or light lotion with a moisturizer that contains active ingredients that can penetrate deeper into the skin. UV rays can damage collagen/elastin in the skin, cause hyperpigmentation, damage skin components and trigger premature aging. So, antioxidants are needed to ward off free radicals. The main function of antioxidants is to capture and neutralize free radicals thereby reducing or preventing damage. The aim of this literature review is to provide information and evaluate the effectiveness of facial serums formulated from various extracts that have the potential to act as antioxidants. The method used in this literature review is using a data base in the form of Google Scholar, Pubmed, Pharmaceuticals, and Science Direct (2015-2023). Based on the results of the literature review, 55 journals were found with various types of plants as antioxidants all types of plants which has antioxidant activity in serum preparations which is classified as very strong is Mangosteen Fruit Extract (Garcinia Mangostana) with an IC50 value of 5-15 μg/mL.

Abstract

Pesantren is an institution that contributes to the scholarship of Islam as well as religious societies. It will be a place of learning the science of religion, cultivation of faith and fear of God, character and morality so that it will become a leader and a Muslim scientist that will benefit the society in the future. Islamic education has grown and undergone an exciting shift from the 17th to the 21st century. This shift is part of Kyai's innovative teaching approach that is central to the training, the student's qualitative understanding, not just the cognitive aspects taught in the classroom, and the priority given to the ethical and spiritual aspects of the training. The trainer has to adapt according to the needs and challenges of the moment and of course the presence of the Kyai figure is important in this training. One of today's national challenges is that training plays an important role in promoting moderate Islamic values that tolerate and accept differences. The growth of practitioners as Islamic institutions becomes an opportunity to spread the understanding of moderate Islam, a sustainable life that protects us from chaos. Such development is part of an adaptation to the evolution of the times and to preserve its existence and contribution to the scholarship of Islam. With regard to the diversity of such development, there is a need for a literature review to map the development of the architecture of the country as a fragment of the existing literature.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) ranks among the top 10 causes of mortality worldwide. Indonesia stands third in Southeast Asia for the highest prevalence of TB cases. One of the adverse effects of Anti-Tuberculosis Drugs (ATD) is hepatotoxicity. Approximately 20% of patients treated with Isoniazid show elevated Aspartate Aminotransferase (AST) and Alanine Aminotransferase (ALT) levels in their plasma. Despite the direct efficacy of ATD in managing TB, hepatotoxicity necessitates discontinuation of drug administration, leading to complications such as Multidrug-Resistant Tuberculosis (MDR-TB). Pegagan leaves (Centella asiatica) contain alkaloids with antibacterial properties. Extracts from Pegagan leaves have been shown to enhance expression of Cluster of Differentiation (CD)4, CD8, and macrophages. Furthermore, this extract can increase cytokine production, including Tumor Necrosis Factor-alpha (TNF-α) and Interferon-gamma (IFN-γ). Based on these premises, this study aims to investigate whether administration of Pegagan leaves extract significantly impacts levels of Hypoxia-Inducible Factor 1-alpha (HIF-1α), TNF-α, IFN-γ, Serum Glutamic Oxaloacetic Transaminase (SGOT), and Serum Glutamic Pyruvic Transaminase (SGPT) in teenage TB patients.

Abstract

Regulations regarding Land and Building Tax (PBB) have been regulated in Law Number 12 of 1985 which was later amended by Law Number 12 of 1994 concerning Land and Building Tax. PBB-P2 is a tax imposed on land and/or buildings owned, controlled, or utilized by individuals or entities, except for the plantation, forestry, mining, and public facilities sectors. Awareness of paying taxes is considered a form of commitment from the community as taxpayers. This study analyzes the PBB-P2 policy advocacy process in Grobogan Regency and analyzes its supporting and inhibiting factors, with a special focus on Kuripan Village. This study uses a qualitative descriptive method with an inductive approach, through direct observation, in-depth interviews and analysis of supporting documents. Interviews were conducted with related parties such as the Purwodadi Sub-district Head, the Head of Kuripan Village, PBB-P2 Collecting Officers, and Taxpayers. The results of the study show that although this policy has yielded positive results, there are still challenges such as lack of communication and socialization, delays in the distribution of SPPT and low level of public understanding. Innovations such as payments by mobile banking, PBB-P2 Payment Posts, and PBB-P2 intensification have been implemented, but they are still not optimal. Intensive communication with stakeholders, continuous socialization, and policy support can improve the optimization of PBB-P2 and contribute to increasing the Realization of PBB-P2 Revenue in Kuripan Village and contribute to the Regional Original Revenue (PAD) in Grobogan Regency.

Abstract

Necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC) is a serious condition that is often experienced by premature babies. NEC can cause inflammation and tissue death in the baby's intestines, potentially leading to life-threatening complications. Therefore, it is necessary to prevent NEC in premature babies, one of which is with probiotics. This study aims to review existing literature regarding the effectiveness of probiotics in the prevention and treatment of NEC in premature infants. This research employs a systematic literature review method. Data collection was conducted by searching for literature in the Google Scholar and PubMed databases. The data analysis was performed using qualitative methods. The research results show that probiotics are therapeutic agents that can be used as an effort to prevent and treat NEC in premature babies. Several studies show that giving probiotics to premature babies can reduce the risk of developing NEC. The most effective probiotic strain is Lactobacillus rhamnosus or combined with Bifidobacterium infantis.

Abstract

The success of the BPJS Employment social security program is strongly influenced by public perceptions and trust in this institution. Perceptions of service quality, ease of access, and program benefits shape the image of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and determine the level of trust and loyalty of participants. This study aims to identify and analyze the brand associations of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan from the community's perspective, with a focus on participants' understanding of the social security program. This research uses a qualitative approach with data obtained through surveys and in-depth interviews. The survey involved 1,250 respondents from 11 BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Regional Offices in various parts of Indonesia, while 100 respondents were selected for interviews to explore more detailed data. The results showed three types of BPJS Ketenagakerjaan brand associations, namely true, false, and negative associations. Correct associations reflect participants' understanding of program benefits, such as health and work accident insurance. However, there are false associations due to information distortion, as well as negative associations related to complaints about complicated procedures, inadequate services, and delays in benefits. As a solution, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan is expected to improve service quality, expand socialization, develop innovation, implement digitalization, and build collaboration to create positive brand associations. These steps aim to support the institution's image and strengthen public trust in the social security program

Abstract

Nurses in hospitals often face work challenges such as non-ergonomic posture, less than ideal work environment, and heavy workload, which can trigger neck and shoulder pain complaints. This problem not only affects the health and productivity of nurses, but can also affect the quality of health services provided to patients. This study was conducted to analyze the relationship between posture, environment, and workload on neck and shoulder pain complaints in nurses at Cendrawasih Dobo Hospital, in order to provide recommendations for improving more ergonomic working conditions. This study used an observational design with a cross-sectional approach to analyze the relationship between posture, environment, and workload on neck and shoulder pain complaints in nurses at Cendrawasih Dobo Hospital. The REBA method was used to evaluate ergonomic risks, with data collection through questionnaires analyzed using univariate, bivariate, and multivariate analysis. The study was conducted in September-October 2024 with a total sampling technique on the entire population of 140 nurses in the hospital. The results showed that there was a significant relationship between body posture (p-value 0.000, correlation 0.538) and workload (p-value 0.000, correlation 0.442) with neck and shoulder pain complaints, where the worse the body posture and the heavier the workload, the higher the pain complaints. In addition, a non-standard work environment, such as low lighting (52-348 lux) and high noise (> 45 dB), also increased the risk of these complaints. These findings emphasize the importance of improving ergonomics and work environment conditions to improve the health and well-being of nurses.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of digital advertising and attractiveness on the interest of MSME players in the Floating Market of South Kalimantan. Digital advertising has become a strategic tool in increasing the visibility of MSMEs, especially in the Floating Market which is a local cultural icon. However, the unique traditional appeal of the market remains a dominant factor in maintaining the interest of business actors. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression methods to measure the relationship between variables. The results showed that simultaneously, digital advertising and attractiveness have a significant effect on the interest of MSME players. However, partially, only the attractiveness variable has a significant effect, while digital advertising does not show a significant impact. The local cultural attractiveness factor proved to be the dominant variable in motivating entrepreneurs to run their businesses in the South Kalimantan Floating Market.
