Abstract

Arrhythmia, a critical subset of cardiovascular diseases and a leading cause of morbidity and mortality, is caused by irregular heartbeats that disrupt the normal rhythm of the heart. Detecting arrhythmias accurately is essential for timely diagnosis and treatment, which can be achieved through electrocardiogram (ECG) signals. This study presents a hybrid Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) and Support Vector Machine (SVM) model for arrhythmia classification, leveraging spectrogram representations of ECG signals. The CNN extracts spatial and temporal features from the spectrograms, while the SVM classifies five arrhythmia classes: Normal (N), Supra-ventricular premature (S), Ventricular escape (V), Fusion of ventricular and normal (F), and Unclassified (Q). Preprocessing techniques such as wavelet denoising and Short-Time Fourier Transform (STFT) were applied to improve signal quality and facilitate robust feature extraction. The proposed model was trained and evaluated on the MIT-BIH Arrhythmia Database, achieving a weighted F1-score of 0.985, demonstrating its ability to handle the imbalanced dataset effectively. Class-wise metrics highlighted high precision, recall, and F1-scores for majority classes and commendable performance for underrepresented classes, despite the inherent imbalance. These findings underscore the hybrid model's potential for arrhythmia classification by integrating the feature extraction strengths of CNNs with the precise classification capabilities of SVMs. Future research could address dataset imbalance through augmentation techniques and explore the model’s generalizability by testing on larger and more diverse datasets, paving the way for its application in real-world clinical scenarios.

Abstract

Aloe vera has long been known for its diverse properties, including wound healing. Compounds such as saponins, tannins, and polyphenols contained in aloe vera provide anti-inflammatory, antibacterial, and accelerate tissue regeneration. This study aims to compare the effectiveness between Povidone Iodine 10% and Aloe Vera Gel on burn wound healing in Wistar Rats (Rattus norvegicus). The study used an experimental design with post-test only control group design. A total of 33 rats were divided into three groups: control group without treatment, Povidone Iodine 10% group, and Aloe Vera Gel group. Observations were made on days 0, 7, and 14 with parameters of wound diameter, percentage of wound reduction, and histopathological analysis to assess the amount of blood vessel formation, fibroblasts, macrophages, and epidermal thickness. The results showed that the administration of Aloe Vera Gel is effective in healing burn wounds, especially in the inflammatory and proliferation phases.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of Islamic Human Development Index (IHDI) and total Islamic banking assets (APS) on Indonesia's economic growth using Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) analysis. This type of research data uses time series data for the period 2010-2023. This study uses a quantitative approach to Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) analysis. This research is short and long term regression, as well as the Granger causality test to evaluate the relationship between variables. The population in this study reports IHDI, Total Islamic Banking Assets, and economic growth in the period 2010-2023 so that the sample of this study amounted to 168 months analyzed using EViews software. The results showed that in the short term, IHDI and APS have a positive and significant influence on economic growth. However, in the long run, although the effect is positive, the relationship is not significant. The Granger causality test reveals that the causality relationship is one-way, where APS affects IHDI and APS affects PE. This confirms the role of APS in improving Islamic value-based quality of life and supporting economic growth. In contrast, the causal relationship between IHDI and PE was not shown to be significant in either direction. This study recommends increasing Islamic financial literacy, strengthening regulations that support APS growth, and integrating IHDI into development policies to create inclusive and sustainable economic growth. These findings are relevant in developing development strategies based on Islamic values for Indonesian society.

Abstract

This study looks into how entrepreneurial skill influences the relationship between the usage of social media, e-payment systems, and marketing performance in culinary MSMEs in West Java. This study used the associative causal method to evaluate data received from 400 MSME respondents using a structural equation model (SEM) and SmartPLS 3.0 software. The findings indicate that the usage of social media and e-payment systems improves marketing performance both directly and indirectly, with entrepreneurial competence serving as a significant mediating factor. This study emphasizes the significance of integrating digital technologies and developing entrepreneurial skills in order to attain competitive marketing performance in the digital era. Training programs aimed at boosting MSME actors' digital literacy and entrepreneurial abilities are recommended

Abstract

The Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road serves as a vital route, connecting Jakarta to its eastern suburbs and facilitating both passenger travel and logistics operations. However, persistent congestion along this stretch of highway has prompted the need for a comprehensive assessment of its capacity performance. This study aims to evaluate the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road's capacity performance using the V/C ratio metric. The analysis encompasses the calculation of V/C ratio values for the years 2022–2023, forecasting peak-hour daily traffic volumes for 2024 under three distinct scenarios: (i) no capacity expansion, (ii) capacity expansion through the addition of one lane, and (iii) traffic management intervention involving one-lane contraflow. The findings reveal that the highest V/C ratio values for peak hours in 2024, without lane additions, are 0.65 for Lane A and 0.71 for Lane B. However, these values decrease to 0.49 for Lane A and 0.53 for Lane B when considering capacity expansion through lane addition or contraflow implementation. Therefore, to ensure compliance with the Minimum Service Standards (SPM) until the end of the concession period, it is recommended that the toll road operator implement capacity enhancement by adding one lane in each route.
