Abstract

The growing awareness of sustainability has prompted companies to adopt more responsible and ethical business practices. Consequently, corporate performance is no longer assessed solely based on economic profit but also on how effectively companies mitigate negative environmental and social impacts. In this context, the implementation of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) principles has become a crucial factor influencing corporate performance. However, studies on the relationship between ESG practices and firm performance in emerging markets, particularly in Indonesia, remain limited and inconclusive. Addressing this gap, this study aims to analyze the impact of ESG implementation on the operational performance and market value of companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX). Using a panel data regression approach with secondary data from IDX-listed companies, the analysis reveals a significant positive relationship between ESG practices and firm performance. Companies that integrate ESG principles tend to exhibit stronger operational outcomes, enhanced investor confidence, and improved market valuation. These findings highlight the importance of ESG adoption not only as a tool for long-term sustainability but also as a strategic advantage that can strengthen competitiveness in a dynamic business environment.

Abstract

Dental care plays a vital role in overall health, as poor oral health is linked to systemic diseases such as diabetes, cardiovascular issues, and malnutrition. In Indonesia, around 70% of the population experiences oral diseases, yet only 12% seek professional treatment, a figure significantly lower than the global average. This highlights the urgency of examining patient satisfaction in dental care. This study investigates patient satisfaction at DSC Dental Clinic in Surabaya, Indonesia, using a qualitative case study approach. Nine participants who received various dental treatments were interviewed through semi-structured methods and observed directly. The findings reveal that high clinical skills, clear communication, stringent infection control protocols, and a fair price-to-value perception contribute positively to patient satisfaction. However, inefficient administrative services negatively affect the patient experience. These insights can guide better collaboration between clinical and administrative staff to enhance the quality of dental care services. Furthermore, this research supports clinic management and policymakers in regulating private dental practices by ensuring strict hygiene standards, transparent pricing, and effective administrative procedures.

Abstract

The decline in academic integrity due to cheating during exams has become increasingly relevant, particularly following the shift to online learning systems. The absence of direct supervision in online exams creates opportunities for cheating practices that evade detection by the naked eye. This study addresses this challenge by developing an object detection model for cheating behavior using a deep learning approach based on the YOLOv5 algorithm. The dataset comprised 60 ten-second videos, extracted into 1,200 images representing four suspicious head movement patterns. Each image was manually annotated before training five YOLOv5 variants. Models were evaluated using object detection metrics (precision, recall, and mAP at IoU thresholds 0.5–0.95) and analyzed via confusion matrices. Results indicate that the YOLOv5x variant achieved peak performance, with mAP@0.5:0.95 of 83.06% and perfect classification accuracy across all classes. This demonstrates that an object detection–based approach provides a reliable preliminary solution for monitoring cheating during online exams.

Abstract

The Indonesian coffee industry has experienced rapid growth, with Café on Wheels emerging as an innovative distribution model to enhance market accessibility and optimize operational efficiency. Jago Coffee, a pioneer in this sector, leverages electric vehicles (EVs) to implement dynamic customer engagement strategies. However, sustaining this business model remains challenging due to evolving consumer preferences and competitive market dynamics. This study examines the impact of Content Marketing, Electronic Word-of-Mouth (E-WOM), and Perceived Quality on Brand Equity and Purchase Intention, utilizing the Diffusion of Innovation Theory and Theory of Planned Behavior. A quantitative methodology was employed, collecting survey data from 399 active Instagram and TikTok users in Indonesia, analyzed through Structural Equation Modeling (SEM). Results indicate that Content Marketing and E-WOM significantly strengthen Brand Awareness, which subsequently drives Purchase Intention. However, Perceived Quality demonstrates no significant direct effect on Purchase Intention, suggesting that digital engagement metrics and brand perception variables exert greater influence on consumer decision-making processes. These findings underscore the critical role of social media marketing in building brand equity and stimulating purchase behavior, providing actionable strategic insights for Café on Wheels operators to enhance competitive positioning.

Abstract

This article discusses the analysis of pile bearing capacity using dynamic and static tests to evaluate the capacity of manufacturing permits in the construction project of the X Shoe Factory in Pekalongan, Central Java. The study aims to determine the ultimate bearing capacity of piles by applying various formulas, such as Meyerhoff, Poulos & Davis, Schmertmann, Coyle & Castillo, and the Alpha & Lambda Method, which take into account corrected NSPT values and CPT data. Additionally, the study validates the calculation results through static and dynamic testing, and compares these results with the allowable loads specified in the design and manufacturing management standards. The analysis revealed that the 1956 Meyerhoff method, when combined with the Terzaghi correction for NSPT data, produced results closest to the empirical test values, while the modified ENR formula yielded reliable outcomes for dynamic analysis. This research is expected to enhance efficiency in the selection of appropriate pile foundation systems for future manufacturing facility construction projects.

Abstract

The digital transformation era has revolutionized how public institutions, including the police, interact with society. Amid rising demands for transparency and two-way communication, social media platforms like Instagram have become strategic channels for delivering educational messages and reinforcing institutional legitimacy. However, systematic studies on how police narratives are constructed and disseminated in digital spaces remain limited. This research aims to analyze the digital communication strategies of the police on Instagram, identify dominant keywords, and map thematic clusters using a netnographic approach supported by NVivo 15 software. Primary data included Instagram Ads content, captions, and reels from official police accounts, while secondary data comprised academic literature and institutional reports. Methods involved digital documentation, word frequency analysis, and cluster visualization. Findings revealed that police narratives emphasize operational duties (e.g., patrol, coordination), public service, and professional image-building, with keywords like protection and violation appearing frequently. Cluster analysis highlighted the alignment between institutional functions and communication strategies. The study concludes that NVivo enhances the validity of netnographic research, offering insights into the dynamics of institutional digital communication. Practical implications include recommendations for data-driven communication strategies for public institutions, while theoretical contributions expand the literature on digital netnography and police-public engagement.

Abstract

Tahfiz Al-Qur'an education at the Madrasah Ibtidaiyah level represents a strategic initiative in preparing a generation that is not only academically competent but also possesses noble character (akhlāq al-karīmah) and strong faith (īmān). This study explores the implementation of the Tahfiz Al-Qur'an program at Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Muhammadiyah Dumeling, Wanasari, Brebes, focusing on its execution, challenges, and impact on students' learning and holistic development. Employing a qualitative descriptive method, data were collected through interviews, observations, and documentation analysis. The findings reveal that the Tahfiz program is integrated into the daily curriculum, featuring scheduled memorization (halaqah) sessions guided by trained instructors (mu'allim/mu'allimah). Despite facing obstacles such as limited instructional time, varying student memorization aptitudes (isti'dād al-hifz), and insufficient parental engagement, the program contributes positively to students' discipline (tarbiyat al-inzibāṭiyyah), spiritual development (al-tanmiyah al-rūḥiyyah), and cognitive growth. Furthermore, it enhances students' intrinsic motivation (al-dāfiʿiyyah al-dākhiliyyah) and concentration (al-tarkīz) in general academic subjects. The study underscores the critical need for sustained institutional support, proactive parental involvement (musāhamat al-wālidayn), and innovative pedagogical strategies to optimize the program's effectiveness and educational outcomes.

Abstract

Since the Palestinian-Israeli conflict broke out in 1948, countless efforts at track one diplomacy have been intensively carried out by the leaders of Islamic countries, both in the UN General Assembly and the OIC forum, including by the Indonesian government. Islamic leaders have chosen to prioritize the principles of human intervention and dialogue in helping to resolve conflicts over the past 15 months. On the other hand, the awakening of civil society solidarity or public consciousness in various countries has emerged unexpectedly. Thousands of people took to the streets to hold peaceful demonstrations demanding a ceasefire, and recognition of Palestinian independence. The absence of coalition barbarslot  forces to counteract the brutal Israeli military offensive was replaced by negotiations that led to a ceasefire agreement between Israel and Hamas on January 15, 2025 in Doha, Qatar. With a liberal approach, this article tries to outline the contribution of the Islamic world as well as the dilemmas faced when pioneering Hamas-Israel peace, using a qualitative descriptive method. The data were obtained from a combination of literature studies and interviews with a number of stakeholders.
