Abstract

Global warming is a problem that has not been overcome until now and even tends to get worse. This study was conducted to identify the awareness of the millennial generation as the next generation towards green behavior and the use of eco-products. This study was conducted by following a systematic literature review approach. Research data is collected from scientific journal articles indexed by Scopus and Sinta regarding green behavior and eco-products published in 2016-2021. The data is also focused on studies that make the millennial generation the subject of research. The data collected was then analyzed descriptively qualitatively. This study found that the millennial generation understands and is concerned for the environment and has begun to implement green behavior. This understanding arises because of the availability of various information both in the printed and electronic form regarding the negative impacts of global warming and climate change. Millennials' concern for the environment is shaped by their understanding and regulations to implement green behavior to create a green environment. However, based on data from various sources, the results achieved so far have not shown significant changes to overcome the problems of global warming and climate change which tend to worsen.

Abstract

Lubuk prohibits one of the local wisdoms of the people of Mandailing Natal Regency in environmental utilization. So far, the pits of prohibition have been managed naturally and traditionally, considering the large amount of damage caused by illegal miners. To anticipate more fatal damage, institutional revitalization is needed. The purpose of this study is to analyze the management of lubuk prohibition in realizing maqashid sharia and its role in improving the welfare of society. This research is a qualitative research with an ethnographic approach and uses a case study method. Sources of research data were obtained through in-depth interviews with key informants, namely Government Officials, Customary Leaders, Lubuk Ban Managers, Community Leaders and Naposo Nauli Bulung and other informants who understand and are related to this research. Another method used to support the results of interviews in informal FGD forums is field observation and documentation. The results showed that the management practice of Lubuk Ban in Mandailing Natal Regency has changed into a new, more rational format with management based on religious beliefs (Religious/Islamic).

Abstract

Adolescent smoking behavior in Indonesia is increasing every year. This condition is dangerous threat to the sustainability of a country. This study was aimed to analyze determinant factors related to adolescent smoking in Indonesia. The study is quantitative research with cross sectional design. This study utilized IFLS 5 data. Sample was unmarried adolescent aged 15-24 years with a total of 4,959 adolescents. Association between adolescent smoking behavior status with parental smoking habits, gender, age and residence were determined by using chi-square test. We found that the majority (93%) of adolescents were smokers who smoke a maximum of 10 cigarettes per day and most of them started smoking regularly at the age of 12 to 17 years (66%). Parental smoking habits significantly influenced adolescent smoking behavior (p=0.000; OR=1.397; 95% CI=1.173<OR<1.663). Gender and age group also affected smoking behavior in adolescents. Meanwhile, the classification of residence has no significant effect on adolescent smoking behavior (p=0.337; OR=0.920; 95% CI=0.777<OR<1.090). These findings suggested that efforts to prevent adolescent smoking behavior should be more focused on children who live with smoking parents.

Abstract

Rapid population growth has had a significant effect on increasing food demand. However, the conversion of agricultural land to non-agricultural land cannot be avoided. Currently, there are only 8.1 million hectares of agricultural land and it is estimated that this will decrease to 5.1 million hectares of agricultural land by 2045. Hydroponic agriculture is one of the solutions for efficient use of agricultural land, one of which is the Hydroponic Nutrient Film Technique. That must be maintained and controlled are pH, Electrical Conductivity (EC), and flow. The optimum value of each parameter is pH 6, EC 5mS cm-1, and a flow of 1.5 l / m. However, the optimal value of each parameter will change with changing conditions and environment. As an innovative solution, the authors offer SANIC technology, a smart agricultural control system in NFT hydroponic based on artificial intelligence of things. The methodology used in this paper is ADDIE (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluate). This technology has a multifunctional plant treatment that works automatically. The equipment is integrated with several components such as a pH sensor, Solenoid Valve, Flow Sensor and EC meter. The main system of this technology is controlled intelligently by Fuzzy Logic rules. This technology is also equipped with solar panels to support environmentally friendly energy needs.

Abstract

Bacterial image analysis using traditional laboratory methods encounters bacterial recognition errors and requires extra experience and long processing time. Therefore, the automated classification technique of bacterial images is more useful than traditional visual observations for biologists because of their accurate classification, low cost, and fast diagnosis. In this study, a method to classify bacteria images by implementing the CNN deep learning method using Transfer Learning is proposed. This trained ResNet-50 is implemented as the CNN architecture. In the training of the classification layer, SGDM optimizer is used. The classification performance for is evaluated in using confusion matrix and four performance metrics: Accuracy, Precision, Recall and Fmeasure. The Confusion Matrix and all the performance metrics show is successful in classifying bacterial images.
