Abstract

The growth of electronic commerce is one of the challenges for the development of urban logistics in Indonesia. This condition was then exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic, which forced changes to the social interaction system. In Malang City in particular, there are regulations that make traditional markets prioritize electronic purchasing systems. Oro-oro Dowo Market is supported by 4 service developers who support online transaction activities. Each development has its own mechanism for the movement of goods according to the characteristics of the service developer. Using a qualitative descriptive method, it is known that additional traditional market facilities are needed to support these activities. The spatial arrangement of the Oro-oro Dowo Market is an initial alternative for developing a development strategy. Then the concept of online traditional market interaction patterns can be considered for the development of other digital-based activities.

Abstract

The Rembitan village is one of the villages in Pujut Subdistrict that still maintains the traditional traditions and culture of the Sasak Tribe. This tradition has built a system of life for the Sasak people who are believed to bring good for themselves and the group. This tribe is a good community and that has been oriented to Ancient Mosque Rembitan which builds the existing traditions and culture. At this time the tradition of this tradition began to decrease in demand and the understanding of its successors related to polishing culture began to decrease due to cultural acculturation. For this reason, there needs to be a continuity of cultural knowledge for the next generation to ensure the preservation of the culture and uniqueness of the region. The purpose of this research is to describe the value contained in polishing culture so that the next generation can learn and understand the meaning and purpose of each tradition carried out by its predecessors. This study shows that the role of the Ancient Mosque of Rembitan is very visible and orientates every activity in Rembitan Village. This is manifested in the form of beliefs, attitudes, and visible symbols such as settlements and indigenous polishing activities. The results of the analysis showed that the role of the Ancient Rembitan mosque was as a space or container for the people of Rembitan Village in carrying out every process of life, both in the form of physical and cultural activities (polishing).

Abstract

Palm oil contains vitamin E which comprises two structurally similar compounds namely tocopherols and tocotrienols. For many years tocopherols considered the best therapy in curing disease, but in recent research advances, tocotrienol has been widely used as a powerful therapy in several diseases, including cancer. We prepared this article to review and analyze the role of tocotrienols from palm oil as anticancer molecules and their mechanism of action in the process of tumorigenesis based on the literature from PubMed, Scopus, Science Direct, and ProQuest databases published from 2011 to 2020, and according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses (PRISMA) statement. Nineteen English articles and abstracts according to the inclusion criteria, systematically reviewed and compiled. The results showed that tocotrienol acts on intracellular and extracellular targets involved in cell signaling pathways and suppresses the growth of various malignancies, including breast, lung, prostate, ovarian, liver, brain, colon, pancreatic, and myeloma cancers. This literature review shows that the molecular mechanism of action of tocotrienols has several advantages, namely a positive effect on cell proliferation, apoptosis, angiogenesis, metastasis, and inflammation, which when working together can function as effective agents in cancer therapy. The tocotrienol-mediated therapeutic action mechanism could help clinicians to design new strategies for cancer treatment.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the history of the development of Javanese society in Batu Pahat from 1957 to 1966. In this study, the author tries to explain the influence of relations between Malaysia and Indonesia from 1957 to 1966 on development and culture immigrants from Java who moved to the Batu Pahat area. This research uses the historical method with an interdisciplinary approach that uses the help of other social sciences such as Sociology and Anthropology. Data collection techniques using literature review techniques, publications, and documentation studies. The results of this study explain that the ups and downs of the relationship between Malaysia and Indonesia in that year gave an impression on the development of the Javanese community in Batu Pahat. For example, from 1957 to 1962 the relationship between the two countries were close and friendly, and made the Javanese community in Batu Pahat begin to join into the various fields and play an important role in fostering development in Batu Pahat. But in 1963 to 1966, relations between Malaysia and Indonesia began to get worse. This is because Indonesia confronted Malaysia. Apart from that, at this time, the Javanese people in Batu Pahat were experiencing difficulties in various fields.
