Abstract

Background: Reports show the prenatal anxiety of Indonesia reaches a percentage of 28.7% of mothers experience anxiety. The COVID-19 pandemic influences pregnant mothers’ psychology, 76.2%. The physical, psychological, and spiritual balance of pregnant mothers should be healthily balanced.  This healthy balance includes the childbirth process to avoid psychological interruption. The use of android application information for obstetric service could improve maternal quality by providing intervention autonomously. Method: This Research & Development used True Experimental Pre and Post-test with Control Group Design. The intervention was with MiSIs-PreTy application to lose the anxiety of primipara pregnant mothers with Trimester III status on the experimental group for 7 days. Every day, the mothers received 30 minutes of implementation. The positive control group, on the other hand, received health education about childbirth preparation. The researchers took 30 respondents as the samples randomly. The data analysis was tested with non-parametric Wilcoxon and Mann Whitney tests. Results: The experts’ validation about the developed application reliability obtained an average score of 92.80% from six aspects. They were based on the ISO 9126 software’s quality, such as usability, reliability, functionality, efficiency, maintainability, and portability. The experiment used the given intervention for both groups. It was effective to lose the anxiety. The effectiveness for experimental group was p < 0.001 while control group obtained p < 0.005. However, the use of the developed application was more effective to lose the anxiety with an average score of 11,8±5,414 for the experimental group than the positive control group with 4,46±4,24. Conclusion: The developed application, MiSIs-PreTy, was validated and revised to be more effective to lose the anxiety of pregnant mothers. Further researches could develop the findings by adding some variables, such as childbirth self-efficacy as the valid measuring tool to examine the pregnant mothers' belief to give birth.

Abstract

Ultisol soils i s a kind that experiences problems due to high acidity and Al saturation, low nutrient, and organic matter content, and are sensitive to erosion. Therefore, alternative efforts need to be made to overcome this, one of which is using Frass fertilizer from Black Soldier Fly fly larvae. Frass is the result of bioconversion as a by-product of rearing BSF larvae which contains a large number of nutrients that are useful for plants and also to overcome the problem of Ultisol soil. The purpose of this research knowing the effect of giving BSF Frass and the extent to which Frass fertilizer can replace the need for NPK fertilizer for upland rice (Oryza sativa L.) on Ultisol soil. The experiment was arranged in a factorial completely randomized design consisting of 2 factors and 3 replications Factor A as the total dose; control, 10% Frass, 20%, and 30% Frass, and Factor B as the dose of NPK fertilizer: 100% positive control (according to recommendations), 75%, 50%, and 25%. The results showed that the application of Frass can improve the physical and chemical properties of Ultisol soil, and increase the grain weight of 100 seeds. The combination of giving Frass 30% with 25% NPK had a significant effect on increasing the total chlorophyll content of upland rice leaves when compared to giving Frass with doses of 20% and 10% with all combinations of NPK. However, it was not significantly different when compared to the control combination which received treatment with NPK as much as 100% and 75%.It was concluded that the application of 30% Frass combined with 25% NPK fertilizer had a significant effect on the chlorophyll content of upland rice and had the potential to reduce the use of chemical fertilizers by 25%.

Abstract

Agriculture in Indonesia is the driving force for the country's economy. Farmers in an effort to improve the quality and productivity of agricultural products use pesticides. The use of pesticides to control pests is growing rapidly. Banjar farmers from the Dasong Department are active pesticide users, so there is a potential for pesticide exposure. This study aims to determine the relationship between risk factors and complaints on horticultural farmers in Banjar Dinas Dasong, Pancasari Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency. This study is an analytical observational study with a cross-sectional approach using 46 respondents. Data were analyzed by SPSS using chi-square test and logistic regression. The results of the Chi-Square test showed that there was no significant relationship between age, pesticide dose, duration of spraying, time of spraying, and frequency of spraying with complaints from farmers (p>0.05). While there is a significant relationship between the use of PPE with complaints to farmers (p <0.05). The results of the logistic regression test showed that the duration of spraying, spraying time, frequency of spraying, and use of PPE with complaints to farmers was not significant (p>0.05). This is due to other external factors. This research can be concluded that there is no correlation between the duration of spraying, spraying time, frequency of spraying, and the use of PPE with the complaints of farmers in Banjar Dinas Dasong, Pancasari Village, Sukasada District, Buleleng Regency.
