Abstract

The role of information technology in higher education is to realize academic effectiveness. Academic Information System (SIAK) which is loaded with the use of Information Technology (IT). The PO1 IT Process Governance audit based on the COBIT standard, namely “Define a Strategic Information Technology Plan” then became a strategic issue for the success of higher education management, especially the SIAK Polytechnic campus which uses information technology-based tools in its teaching and learning process. This study aims to measure the level of IT Process PO-01 governance in relation to Academic Information Systems in Vocational Model High Schools (Polytechnics). The sample of this research is nine Vocational High Schools (Polytechnics) in Bandung. From the results of the study, it is known that the IT Process Governance PO-01 at SIAk Vocational Colleges is still at Level 2, namely "Repeatable but Intuitive". The effectiveness of governance is still determined by the competence of the individual or part of the personnel who carry out the IT Function (technical) and the assignment is ad-hoc. IT management at SIAk has not been internalized and refers to Best Practice. But on the other hand, it has begun to be seen that the Polytechnic management has a fairly good awareness of the importance of IT Governance and wants to make it an enabler for the Academic Information System (SIAk). However, there is still a fairly high gap between what is and what should be desired as in COBIT Best Practicevariables.

Abstract

The number of individuals who gather in the organization is directly proportional to the number of interests in the organization. The more individuals who prioritize their interests, the more the goals of the organization will be neglected. Increased perceptions of organizational politics can worsen organizational outcomes. However, many studies stated that organizational politics can improve organizational outcomes. This study examines organizational politics and its effect on commitment and job satisfaction and its effect on OCB. This research is a quantitative-research with the number of respondents as many as 40 salespeople in the furniture sector and analyzed using Partial Least Square (PLS). The results of this study indicate that only one hypothesis is rejected.

Abstract

Rural poverty is a very complex synthesis, both in terms of the potentially poor population, the type of poverty and the process that causes poverty itself. Based on these arguments, this study aims to show that the treatment of regional development programs in poverty alleviation efforts cannot actually be carried out uniformly. This study is intended to provide an analytical model to increase the productivity of the poor with a certainty that rural poverty is unique and specific, by approaching isolated tribal groups. The research uses a case study approach, what policies are most effective to increase the productivity of the poor, isolated tribes, data collection for the unit of analysis is carried out using the PRA (Participatory Rural Appraisal) method to explore the problems developed in participatory research, where researchers only act as facilitator while community groups and tribal tribal institutions play an active role in analyzing and assessing the problems they experience. The results of the study confirm that the policies that need to be implemented in an effort to increase the productivity of the isolated tribal community are carried out through several alternative policies, namely; rehabilitation of forest resources, increasing human resources of isolated tribes, as well as controlling the shrinkage of potential cultivated areas

Abstract

Shallots are one of the mainstay products of Demak Regency which are continuously being developed. However, the Demak Shallot Cluster faces a major obstacle, namely drying technology, which is the main cause of the decline in competitiveness, and farmers suffer huge losses. Therefore, in this study, a study of the drying of sliced shallots using a food dehydrator will be carried out. The research analysis includes (1) Drying Characteristics, (2) Drying Rate Analysis, (3) Application of Thin Layer Drying Model, (4) Rehydration Ratio Analysis, (5) Color Analysis, (6) Flavonoid and Total Phenolic Analysis, (7) Antioxidant Activity Analysis. The quality parameters of shallot products in general will follow SNI 3159-2013, this standard stipulates provisions regarding the quality, size and hygiene of shallots (Allium cepa varascalonicum) of the Alliaceae family for consumption, plus the strength of onion bulbs, identification and quantification of flavonoid compounds, and anthocyanin levels. The results showed that the moisture ratio value in equilibrium was 9.34% with the fastest drying occurring at a temperature of 60 oC , which was 0.938 g/minute. The three thin layer drying models were analyzed to determine the appropriate thin layer drying model. The Page model was chosen because it has an R value of 2 the highest is 0.9353 and the lowest RMSE and x 2 values are 0.04354 and 0.0025 3. Changes in color and bioactive compounds in the dried onion slices are caused by heat which causes damage to bioactive compounds. Based on the parameters that have been determined, a temperature of 50 o C indicates the optimum temperature for drying shallot slices.

Abstract

The development of stem cells services has grown rapidly throughout the world since 2004, as well as in Indonesia. This is because stem cells have unique properties that can differentiate into various cells types, making it promising to repair tissue damaged by various diseases, especially degenerative conditions. The purpose of this study was to obtain an overview of the regulation of stem cells services so that it can be carried out to the public after the enactment of the Health Law Number 36 of 2009 and to obtain an overview of the implementation of the law in stem cells regulation that is not yet comprehensive. The research methodology used is juridical normative, with a statutory approach, a conceptual approach. Also by using a comparative approach with other countries. This study analyzes substantially the regulation of stem cells and/or cells services based on Minister of Health Regulation number 32 of 2018 concerning stem cells and/or cells services and the implementation of laws against violations in their implementation. The regulations that are not yet comprehensive have in the competence of doctors who carry out stem cells services both as standardized therapy and service-based research that has not been certified, as well as the implementation of the law to use laws and regulations that are generally used for cases of non-specific illegal acts that result in prosecution. which is multi-layered. So that it is necessary to regulate stem cells according to the hierarchy of legislation and need to revise Minister of Health Regulation number 32 of 2018 so that it can be implemented safely and effectively and accommodate the orientation of technology development in the stem cells sector in Indonesia.

A purposive sampling technique was used, and the independent variables include Suppliers, Consumers, Community, Shareholders, and Employees controlled by Company Size, and Profitability, while the dependent variable is Hazardous Toxic Waste Disclosure. The data were processed using the descriptive test and multiple linear regression. The Stakeholder Theory was used to solve the problem of low Hazardous Toxic Waste Disclosure in Indonesia. The results showed 21 items of the Hazardous Toxic Waste Disclosure index. In a previous study, Suppliers, Consumers, Communities, and employees positively affected Hazardous Toxic Waste Disclosures. Meanwhile, shareholders had a negative effect on the dependent variables

Abstract

The current paper aims to examine factors that influence borrowers’ intention to borrow from Peer-to-Peer lending platform in Mongolia. This topic has been attracting researchers’ interest especially since 2008 when the 3rd round of fintech development starts over the developed countries. The most of those studies focus on investigating the factors that explain borrowers’ intention to borrow, and a few of them research this perspective from the investors’ side. It is hardly to find the study that explain intentions of parties to participate in a P2P lending platform in Mongolia. Our research tries to fill this gap by studying factors influencing borrowers’ intention in Mongolian fintech market. We have used the TAM model as a theoretical framework and have collected survey questionnaires from investors and borrowers from all fintech companies in Mongolia. The result shows that borrowers’ intention is mostly driven by initial trust and perceived risk. Other variables, perceived ease of use and perceived security, have no impact on borrowers’ decisions to participate in P2P platform.
