Abstract

Euthanasia is an act of intentionally not doing something aimed at prolonging someone's life or intentionally doing something to shorten or also end the life of a patient which is carried out to hasten his death, while enabling a good death without unnecessary suffering. Thus, in practice, in a terminal condition, a doctor may or may not perform an act that may result in the death of a patient in accordance with the written request of the patient/family. This dilemmatic condition requires legal certainty in order to uphold justice and humanity as well as legal protection. The problems are 1) How is passive euthanasia applied for terminal patients? 2) How is legal certainty in the application of euthanasia in Indonesia? 3) How is the implementation of euthanasia that meets the community's sense of justice? To answer these problems, a research using normative juridical methods is needed through primary data collection in the form of empirical data from interviews and filling out questionnaires about knowledge and level of agreement on euthanasia. Secondary data in the form of research on primary, secondary and tertiary legal materials. 8The results of the study show that the implementation of regulations in the Act and Ministerial Regulations that lead to the implementation of euthanasia has so far been applied, especially to terminal patients. However, the legal certainty of the act has not been clearly described because there are rules that are not in line. Euthanasia cannot be equated with ordinary homicide. To fulfill justice and humanity as well as legal protection, euthanasia regulations are needed in a harmonious positive law

Abstract

The Badaksinga Drinking Water Processing Installation is an installation owned by Perumda Tirtawening Drinking Water, Bandung City, has 2 of these installations, the first of which is a design from Degremont - France, built around 1954 with a capacity of 1000 liters/second. The second installation is an IWACO-Dutch design with a flow rate of 800 liters/second. The raw water for the two installations comes from the Cisangkuy River and the Cikapundung River. To purify the raw water, PAC (Poly Aluminum Chloride) is used as a coagulant which is a complex inorganic compound with a clear to yellowish color. The coagulant addition process must be carried out efficiently because this coagulation process is a chemical process that requires a large amount of money for the water treatment process apart from chlorination. Excessive addition of coagulant doses will cause the cost of using coagulant chemicals to swell so that it will have an impact on overall operational costs. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of using PAC in reducing turbidity, in the form of the optimum dose of coagulant, turbidity and pH. The method used is the Jar Test which is a tool to test the ability of coagulants to determine the optimum dose in a water treatment process. From the samples, the raw water turbidity varied from 17.1 to 281 NTU, fluctuating due to geographical location and environmental conditions around each and the degree of acidity or an average pH of 7.13. After the Jar Test was carried out, the optimum dose was produced at a coagulant concentration of 30 mg/l resulting in turbidity in the range of 1.1 to 5.0 NTU and an average turbidity reduction efficiency of 94.5%, the pH of raw water, after coagulation and flocculation with the Jar Test simulation tool, there was a decrease of 4.1% to an average of 6.99. This result is in accordance with Minister of Health Regulation No 492/MENKES/PER/10/2010 April 19 2020, namely turbidity of no more than 5 NTU and a pH of 6.5 – 8.5

Abstract

Agriculture is a sector that has the potential to be developed because it is a buffer for food sovereignty. Therefore it is necessary to change a new paradigm in agricultural development. Agricultural management is not through a farming approach but is business-oriented. The younger generation who are familiar with digital technology is the hope in the regeneration of old farmers. To support the realization of food security, young farmers known as millennial farmers need to be educated about entrepreneurial patterns in agriculture or agripreneurship. The method of community service carried out is counseling which begins with the presentation of the material, continued with discusi, and mentoring is carried out. The target group for community service is millennial farmers in Kroya village who are members of Karang Taruna. The number of participants was 35 people. Counseling is carried out face-to-face. The result of this activity is that young farmers understand that they can develop their business even better, so that this farmer profession can become a decent livelihood for them

Abstract

The knee is the most frequent site of primary bone tumour. A majority of the tumours arising in the knee can be treated with limb salvage surgery and result in good functional outcomes. We evaluated functional outcomes for patients who underwent surgery for resection and megaprosthesis replacement for primary tumours around the knee. We used the Musculoskeletal Tumour Society Scoring System (MSTS) for functional evaluations to compare differences between distal femur and proximal tibia placements. This study was an observational analysis study with cross sectional approach in primary bone tumor knee region which has been done limb salvage surgery. The study sample included 11 cases of distal femur and 6 cases of proximal tibia megaprosthesis replacement. Primary tumours were classified as follows: 5 osteosarcoma, 12 giant cell tumour (GCT). The Patients was subjected to a physical examination to complete MSTS score and then commpared data were obtained. Functional outcomes, as measured by MSTS functional assessment were good to excellent in a majority of study patients. This study shows an unsignificant differences functional outcome using MSTS Score between resection tumour in distal femur and proximal tibia (p >0.05). There were no differences in functional outcomes when comparing distal femur megaprostheses with proximal tibia megaprostheses

Abstract

The Nyongkolan tradition of the Sukarara Central Lombok community can last a long time as a crystallization of noble habits in the implementation of the Nyongkolan tradition which is accepted as a custom of the Sukarara Central Lombok community and its imp lementation is supported by legal protection in comparative studies of legal anthropology in accommodating the preservation of the Nyongkolan tradition from extinction, a tradition which is the guardian of the Nyongkolan tradition preservation. The Nyongkolan tradition in the study of a comparative approach is to compare one regulation with the reality that occurs in the Sukarara Central Lombok community through the Marriage Law no. 1 / 1974, so that nyongkolan marriage or traditions as traditions related to the authority in determining custom system of Sukarara village, Jongat district, Central Lombok. The theory used by the researcher in this study is the theory of Cultural Relativism which views local wisdom as a tradition, addressing the reality of plurality and religion through understanding the traditions and culture of the community in maintaining traditions in the local wisdom of the indigenous Sukarara Central Lombok community. The suggestion used in this study, the government of West Nusa Tenggara Province should synergize with the reality that occurs in the indigenous Sukarara Central Lombok community while maintaining local wisdom of the local indigenous people

Abstract

We see the critical role technology plays in healthcare in the midst of a continuous worldwide health crisis. To combat the epidemic, South Korea, for example, used smart city' technology and government-developed applications that follow individuals in quarantine. A biosensor that can identify the virus in saliva samples has just been created by India's National Institute of Animal Biotechnology, Hyderabad. These developments are made feasible by the usage of certain biosensors that have printed circuit boards with metal core components capable of withstanding large variations in moisture and temperature. A very sophisticated breakthrough, artificial intelligence for IT operations, is altering the healthcare sector in addition to the technology that aid nations in combating the epidemic. This general phrase, also known as AIOps, describes the automated detection and repair of typical IT problems using big data, machine learning, and other AI technologies. AIOps may be used in the healthcare industry to teach computers to analyse CT scan pictures, follow the progression of various illnesses, assess the effectiveness of patient therapy, and much moren.
