Abstract

Since the phenomenon of Imperialism is so important for Africa’s political and economic thought, it is important to begin by understanding it. What is Imperialism? Imperialism cannot be defined in any generally acceptable way. It means different things to different people. Let us note some of these differences as they appear. Because the fruits of imperialism- the subordinate areas variously called possessions, colonies, protectorates, semi-protectorates, and dependent states- have long been regarded as valuable to the controlling state, they have been eagerly sought. Finally, we may ask, is it inherent in the very nature of underdevelopment that makes development such an impossible task? Among the many prescriptions, after “flag independence,” that have been offered- e.g. cultural, social, psychological, even economic-none has produced any encouraging results. In fact nearly all of them have had negative result, and made bad situations worse. Are we to continue with the same experiments at the expense of the people, who, have borne the whole burden of these experiments throughout the last decades this is the question to which all the developing countries, especially those in Africa, must address themselves

Abstract

This research aims to analyze the level of the importance and the performance of the implementation of factorsn or attribute that determine the successful asset management in Kupang District Government. Importance Performance Analysis (IPA) is used as an analysis tool to process research data. The results showed that asset management has not been fully optimal. This can be seen from the results of data analysis that is unbalancing between importance and performance levels. There are two attributes of questions that are classified in the quadrant III category, namely attributes or factors P1 and attributes or factors P9. This attribute reflects the activities of collecting regional asset data within the Kupang district government and the use of an asset inventory book that is still necessary to maintain its performance and activities. This is related to the procedure for managing regional property as mandated in the Regulation of the Minister of Home Affairs (Permendagri) Number 19 of 2016 concerning Guidelines for the Management of Regional Assets.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to show the form of theology regarding human beings and how Christ takes on this human vulnerability, especially from the perspective of Byyantine theology. The methods used in this study are from the research literature. This is a kind of research model from a qualitative approach, and the research results are obtained from various literatures about the man of Christ from a Byzantine perspective. This study shows that man was originally the most glorious creature and was created in the image of God, Christ. Known in his two forms, Precariat and Precaritas, human vulnerability is the result of human sin. This state of human vulnerability was assumed by Christ through the Incarnation and the work of redemption that was accomplished so that man could reenter the communion of the Triune God through the theological process. Sacrament, especially the Eucharist or Holy Communion. The conclusion is that the frailty and instability of man's fragility is the result of sin He is one and accepted by Christ incarnate so that man may return to the communion of the Trinity God

Abstract

Diabetes mellitus is one of the most common non-communicable diseases that that is still growing today especially diabetes mellitus type 2 (DMT2). Diabetes in non-obese patients is an important problem to solve because it tends to be worse than DM in obese patients. Chronic hyperglycemia can damage body tissues through several mechanisms like polyol pathway, hexosamine pathway, activation of protein kinase C (PKC) and advance glycation end products (AGEs). This pathway can damage the pancreas so that insulin cannot be secreted and worsen the condition of diabetes. Sleeve gastrectomy procedure can secrete hormones such as insulin, GLP-1, PYY (Peptide YY) dan PP (Pancreatic polypeptide) which play a role in the regulation of glucose in the blood. Omentoplasty can play a role in cell regeneration, especially Langerhans β cells so that insulin can be produced adequately. Objective to evaluate the effect of Sleeve Gastrectomy and Pancreas Omentoplasty on Pancreatic VEGF Intensity in non-obese diabetes mellitus rats. Methods True experimental study with "post-test only control design" on 18 rats with Diabetes Mellitus was divided into 3 groups: K (control), P1 (Sleeve Gastrectomy), P2 (Sleeve Gastrectomy + Omentoplasty). 10 days after procedure, we evaluated the VEGF Intensity using immunohistochemistry. Statistical analysis with One Way ANOVA and Post Hoc LSD. Result Pancreatic VEGF increased in P1 and P2. In all groups in pancreatic VEGF levels were statistically significant (p = <0.01). Conclusion Sleeve Gastrectomy and Pancreas Omentoplasty increased pancreatic VEGF in non-obese rats with diabetes mellitus.

The course of married life, often colored by a variety of happy events or vice versa, contributes to marital satisfaction or dissatisfaction. The presence of children in married life will be one of the signs of achieving the goal of marriage. But in reality not all couples are blessed with children easily. Not having children in marriage can be one of life's disappointments that can affect marital satisfaction. In fact, what is more important than a marriage is not only the presence of children, but the success and satisfaction of marriage felt by the husband and wife. The satisfaction of married is largely determined by the internal and external factors of both partners. This study aims to determine the role of marital commitment and family support for marital satisfaction in childless couples. The study participants were 290 husbands and wives who had no children after more than five years of marriage. The data collection technique used snowball sampling, and was analyzed using multiple linear regression tests. The results of the study found that marital commitment and family support both play a role in marital satisfaction in couples who have been married for more than five years. Simultaneously, the length of marriage also predicts marital satisfaction.

Abstract

Air transportation is the most recent mode of transportation among other modes and only emerged and developed in the 20th century. World Wars I and II gave a great impetus to the development of air transport in almost every country in the world. To make it easier to conduct this research, it is necessary to collect data related to "Evaluation of the Dimensions and Thickness of the Adi Soemarmo Surakarta Airport Apron Pavement Using the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration) Method". Data on air traffic movements is needed in performing the role or designing the pavement thickness of airport airside facilities. Data on aircraft movements is needed in forecasting the growth rate of aircraft at airports. It takes at least 10 years or at least the last 5 years to forecast the movement of the aircraft. The results of the calculation of apron dimensions were obtained by 560 m × 135 m while the dimensional conditions of the existing apron were 420 m × 135 m. Based on the results of these calculations, it is necessary to increase the apron length by 140 m, while for the width of the apron there is no need to widen so that the apron is able to serve aircraft traffic optimally for the next 20 years at Adi Soemarmo Surakarta Airport
