Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of religiosity (intellectual, ideological, public practice, private practice, and religious experience) and perceived social support (family, friends, and significant others) on psychological well-being. Respondents in this study were 195 people aged 18-21 years, who were teenagers who had lost their parents due to Covid-19, either their mother, father or both, and who live in Greater Jakarta. The questionnaire in this study used measuring instruments adapted from the Scale of Psychological Well-Being (SPWB), Centrality of Religiosity Scale (CRS), and Multidimensional Scale of Perceived Social Support (MPSS). This study uses a quantitative approach, where the validity of each item in the instrument is tested using confirmatory factor analysis (LISREL Software) and the influence of each independent variable on the dependent variable is seen through multiple regression tests (SPSS Software). The results of this study indicate that there is a significant influence between religiosity and perceived social support variables on psychological well-being variables. The influence of all independent variables (IV) on the dependent variable (DV) is 53.1% and 46.9% is influenced by other variables outside this study. Variables that significantly influence psychological well-being are intellectual, religious experience, and friends.

Abstract

Educational financing planning management is a set of work implementation management processes that includes planning in educational organizations related to the determination of money received as the amount of income originating from individuals or groups of institutions within a certain period of time as a form of compensation that has been donated to educational institutions. The purpose of this study is to describe the strategy in managing education financing planning at Madrasah Aliyah Darul 'Amal Karanganyar. This research is a type of qualitative research with data collection techniques by observation, interviews and documentation. Data analysis through data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. Test the validity of the data with data triangulation. The selection of subjects and informants was based on the order of the head of the madrasa, deputy head of the madrasa for curriculum and treasurer of the madrasa. The results showed that the management of educational financing planning at Madrasah Aliyah Darul 'Amal Karanganyar was carried out through an inventory of plans to be carried out, preparation of program plans with priority scales, determination of work program details, determination of the need for implementation of program details, calculation of the funds needed, and determination of sources of funds in the framework of financing education at Madrasah Aliyah Darul 'Amal Karanganyar on the academic year 2022/2023.

Abstract

This study aims to look at the influence of religiosity and tourists' perceptions of halal tourism on their intention to visit halal tourist destinations. With the quantitative method, the research respondents were 100 tourists who had visited halal tourist destinations. Data was collected through a questionnaire and then processed using the Partial Least Square method to analyze the validity of the data and test the hypothesis. The results of the study show that perceptions of halal tourism are able to attract visits to halal tourist destinations. However, religiosity (moderating variable) is not able to attract interest in visiting and is unable to moderate the increase in visitor perceptions of halal tourist destinations.

Abstract

This study aims to investigate the impact of religiosity, halal knowledge, and subjective norms on the purchase intention of Japanese food at Yoshinoya restaurant in Indonesia. The research employed a quantitative approach, and primary data were collected from 100 respondents who had consumed food at Yoshinoya restaurant, using purposive sampling technique. The data were collected using a questionnaire and analyzed using SPSS version 21. The results indicate that religiosity, halal knowledge, and subjective norms have a significant positive effect on purchase intention. Specifically, religiosity, halal knowledge, and subjective norms were found to be important factors that influence customers' intention to purchase Japanese food at Yoshinoya restaurant in Indonesia. This study contributes to the existing literature on the factors that influence food purchasing behavior, particularly in the context of Japanese food in Indonesia. The findings of this study provide important insights for marketers and practitioners in the food industry who are interested in catering to the needs of Indonesian consumers.

Abstract

The integration of technology into language teaching has emerged as a prominent alternative for facilitating the classroom interaction. Thus, this study aims to present the teachers’ perspective on the use of technology in the learning activity, especially in English classroom integrated with the online feedback. The data were collected from the interview and observation involving teachers inside and outside the classroom. The sample for this study consisted of teachers from Senior High School in Surakarta, Central Java Province. The results of the study indicated that the use of technology integrated with the online feedback promoted meaningful teaching and learning activity. The integration of technology-based learning and online feedback in English classroom was effective, but it should also be added with the offline one, especially in giving the feedback to the students. In addition, this study found that teachers are confronted with a problem of the connection or networking using the technology. The results suggest for the effective use of technology in the learning activity.

Abstract

Supervision carried out by the principal means carrying out the leadership of the management function, where the supervision of the principal is one of the determining factors in achieving educational goals. In this study, the researcher wanted to see the process of supervision carried out by the principal in improving teacher discipline. This study used qualitative research methods. Sources of data from this study were the principal and 2 teachers. The data collection techniques in this study used observation, interviews and documentation. The data analysis technique was done by means of data reduction, data display, data leveraging and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that it is quite good with several aspects, namely the procedure stage, standard stage, improvement and accuracy. It can be said that the supervision of the principal at Madrasah Aliyah Paradigma through several aspects, namely First, the Procedure Stage carried out is quite good. Second, the Standard stage was carried out well, the principal supervised the teacher by looking at the attendance of each existing class, checking the learning tools before the new teaching began. Third, improvements, if the teacher makes mistakes in doing a job or is not disciplined at work, there will be improvements. Fourth, the research was carried out with the principal in uniting teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Paradigma. In accordance with the Decree of the division of work tasks that have been given. Where there are two factors, namely supporting and inhibiting factors. The supporting factor for the supervision of discipline teachers at Madrasah Aliyah Paradigma is the absence of teacher attendance and return. The inhibiting factor for supervising teacher discipline at Madrasah Aliyah Paradigma is the head of the madrasa who has a work agenda outside of teaching and learning hours at the madrasah.

Abstract

The main purpose of this study is to investigate the level of Islamic studies teachers’ reflection on the Qur’an and Prophetic Sunnah in Nigeria secondary school. Developing good moral and ethical character in learners has become an important matter in this age of globalization. Religious education curricula currently in use in Nigeria completely focused on learner’s academics achievement. The rate of immorality and many other social vices among the youths particularly those who are secondary school leavers is alarming. Against this background, the study focuses on teachers’ reflection on the Qur’an and Prophetic Sunnah to foster students’ intellectual upliftment and cultivate Islamic ethical values in them. The researcher purposively selected six teachers from selected secondary school in Ilorin, Kwara State, Nigeria. The results of semi-structured interviews revealed that the participant teachers believed that reflection on the Qur’an and Prophetic traditions has the potential to instil knowledge, cultivate intellectual skills and inculcate good values and Islamic ethics in the learners. It was also found that insufficient period, negligent attitudes of parents towards their children’s education as well as students’ lack of interest had to some extent influenced teachers’ effort to fully implement the curriculum to inculcate the right type of values in the students.

Abstract

Idea or creativity is sometimes useless without the ability to tailor it to wider society. Not to mention in this industrial revolution, communication skill is urgently needed by everyone without any exception. This article aims to find out the students’ perception on public speaking skill. There were several students from the International Relations Department who took Public Speaking in their English class as the objects of the research. The result found that students realize that public speaking is important to support their studies. However, they found some obstacles during doing public speaking such as feeling unconfident and the fear of sharing their opinion or as known as Public Speaking Anxiety (PSA). Public speaking is the thing that students can not escape from, even if there are a lot of difficulties they would find. It is expected that after reading this research, students will be more aware of the importance of having public speaking skills.

Abstract

An Islamic boarding school, known as "Pondok Pesantren," serves as an institution for religious education and a place for practical engagement in social, artistic, and economic activities. These schools have the potential for economic development and the realization of economic self-reliance through their cooperative units, referred to as "Koperasi Pondok Pesantren." However, many Pesantren have yet to fully harness their potential due to a lack of knowledge in strategic management. Strategic management can be implemented under the guidance of leadership to achieve the institution's vision and mission. Riyadlotut Thalabah Islamic Boarding School is one such Pesantren that possesses a cooperative unit (Kopontren). This research aims to assess the extent to which strategic management and stakeholder theory are applied in this context. Through a qualitative descriptive analysis method, which includes interviews and primary reports, the study has revealed several factors that influence the economic self-reliance of the Pesantren. The findings indicate that the planning function is the most influential aspect in achieving economic self-reliance for the Pesantren. Additionally, strong leadership from the school's administrators, teachers (ustadz/ustadzah), students (santri), stakeholders, an effective information system, and a viable market are all crucial factors in realizing the economic self-reliance of Riyadlotut Thalabah Islamic Boarding School in the economic field.

Abstract

Sharia banks are financial institutions that are operationally different from conventional banks. As a newcomer, the concept of sharia banking is experiencing a difficult situation because people are familiar with conventional banks so not many people understand about sharia banks. This research aims to determine the influence of knowledge, perception, promotion and community religiosity on interest in becoming sharia bank customers in the people of Purwokerto City, Banyumas Regency. This research uses a quantitative method by determining the sample using a simple radom sampling technique with a total of 400 respondents. The data source for this research is primary data. The data collection method was carried out using a questionnaire. Meanwhile, the data was analyzed using multiple linear regression analysis. This research variable consists of independent variables which include knowledge, perception, promotion and religiosity, as well as a dependent variable regarding people's interest in becoming sharia bank customers. Partially, the variables knowledge, perception, promotion and religiosity have a significant positive effect on people's interest in becoming sharia bank customers. Then simultaneously the variables of knowledge, perception, promotion and religiosity influence the interest of the people of Purwokerto City to become sharia bank customers.
