Abstract

Batik is one of the archipelago's treasures that is increasingly being marketed optimally. Batik 786 ‘Batikna Urang Banten’, one of the MSMEs in Kolelet Wetan Village, Rangkasbitung, Banten, has been in existence for five years but has not yet been touched by digitalization. As a result, its marketing is still done in a conventional manner. The production site is also not easily accessible to a wider market, so Batik 786 needs additional efforts to boost its sales and brand recognition. This initiative aims to expand Batik 786's target market through digital marketing by creating an account on one of Indonesia's e-commerce platforms, Shopee. The initiative is carried out in the form of training sessions with four meetings. From an introduction to e-commerce to a simulation of the checkout process until the product reaches the consumer. The materials provided by the Student Work Study Program (KKM) Group 56 of Bina Bangsa University have helped Batik 786 become digitally literate and ready to compete in the national market. The results of this community service initiative demonstrate an increase in Batik 786's capacity in digital marketing. The owner of Batik 786 can now easily expand their marketing efforts optimally through digital marketing.

Abstract

Digital transformation has become a crucial necessity in developing regional potential, particularly in strengthening image and competitiveness in the information technology era. Kampoeng Pintar Oase Tembok Gede, a thematic village in Surabaya, holds great potential in MSMEs, educational tourism, and environmental innovation. However, the lack of public knowledge and skills in utilizing digital tools poses a significant barrier to effective branding efforts. Through an outreach program titled “Effective Digital Branding Strategies”, the SDGs Community Service Team (KKN) Group 2 from UPN Veteran East Java aimed to educate local residents about the importance of building a digital identity via social media platforms. The service method involved problem identification through interviews and field observation, planning educational materials and strategies, conducting participatory sessions, and performing evaluation through feedback and group discussions. The results indicated a high level of enthusiasm and active involvement from participants, who gained new insights into the fundamentals of digital branding, implementation strategies, and basic promotional content creation. The program successfully increased community awareness of the role of digital media in promoting local potential. Future recommendations include continuous follow-up in the form of technical training, mentoring in content creation, and the establishment of a village digital community hub for sustained digital literacy and branding efforts.activities such as technical training and digital mentoring are recommended to help establish a self-sustaining digital community in the area.

Abstract

The Community Service Program (KKN) in Kedung Baruk Village, Surabaya City, focused on empowering Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) through creative and visually appealing promotional strategies. MSMEs in this region have significant potential to support local economic growth, but still face obstacles in reaching a wider market due to limitations in product promotion and branding. Many have not yet utilized powerful digital and visual media as effective marketing tools. Through this KKN program, students act as mentors and facilitators in developing promotional strategies based on visual design, simple digital marketing, and strengthening product identity. These steps included training in packaging design, creating promotional content for social media, and mentoring in building brand image. The results of this activity indicate an increase in the understanding and skills of MSMEs in promoting their products in a more attractive and professional manner. With a creative approach relevant to current market needs, it is hoped that MSMEs in Kedung Baruk Village can grow more independently, be highly competitive, and have the ability to continuously innovate in developing their businesses. This activity demonstrates that collaboration between students and the community can have a tangible impact on local economic progress.

Abstract

This Community Service Program (PKM) aims to provide students of SMK Nurul Huda Baros with practical knowledge and skills in product branding strategies and marketing management to enhance business competitiveness. In an increasingly competitive business environment, understanding the importance of brand image and effective marketing techniques is essential for business success, especially for beginner entrepreneurs. The method applied in this program includes interactive socialization through material presentations, discussions, case studies, and branding simulations. The results indicate an improvement in students' understanding of branding elements, market segmentation, and digital marketing strategies. This program is expected to foster students’ entrepreneurial spirit and improve the quality and competitiveness of the products they create.

Abstract

The educational institution partnering in this Community Service Program is SDN Telaga Biru 1 Banjarmasin. The primary issue faced by this institution is the lack of students' awareness and understanding of the local wisdom in South Kalimantan. In this community service activity, the proposers, in collaboration with the partner institution, agreed to prioritize the problem of limited integration of local wisdom into the learning process and the lack of diverse teaching methods in the classroom to introduce local wisdom to students. These limitations make students less interested in learning about South Kalimantan's local wisdom. Integrating local wisdom into school learning plays a significant role in providing students with positive experiences in understanding the values of their region's local wisdom. This program was conducted through socialization and simulation activities using educational games as a teaching method. This approach was chosen to facilitate students' understanding and increase their interest in local wisdom. The results of the activity showed that the use of educational games received positive responses from students in learning about and preserving the local wisdom of South Kalimantan. This activity underscores the importance of integrating local wisdom into the learning process as a strategy for cultural preservation and improving educational quality

Abstract

One of the main causes of the increase in antimicrobial resistance cases in the community is the inappropriate use of antibiotics. Community-based educational interventions are needed because people do not understand the indications and procedures for reasonable antibiotic use. In Ciparay Hamlet, Indragiri Village, Bandung Regency, this community service program was implemented with the aim of raising public awareness about the wise and appropriate use of antibiotics. The activity was conducted through lectures and interactive discussions, and 17 participants, mostly housewives, attended. Evaluation results showed that most participants did not understand the difference between bacterial and viral infections before the activity began, and they continued to use antibiotics without a doctor's prescription. After the activity, participants indicated they had a better understanding of their actions and their impacts and were more engaged in the discussion sessions. The results of this activity demonstrate that outreach activities play a crucial role in increasing public knowledge about antibiotics. Outreach can also be a promotional method to prevent antibiotic resistance at the community level.

Abstract

This community service program aims to introduce internet safety and digital ethics to children in Siak Regency. The community service was conducted at the Siak Regency Regional Library with participants from Sekolah Alam Sahabat Qur'an Siak. The implementation methodology comprised three phases: planning, implementation, and evaluation. During the program execution, the children demonstrated remarkable enthusiasm while listening to the material presentations delivered by the facilitators, accompanied by a hand puppet named Digi. The children received comprehensive materials covering various topics, including internet introduction, digital space hazards, types of personal information, internet safety strategies, and digital ethics. The community service program was successfully implemented, and the partner institution expressed hope that similar programs could be conducted in the future with broader outreach to benefit more children.

Abstract

Indonesian Migrant Workers (PMI) make a significant contribution to the national economy through the remittances they send, making their role highly strategic for national development. However, many PMIs still face limitations in personal financial management and lack entrepreneurial skills upon returning to Indonesia. In response to these challenges, this international community service program was designed to empower PMIs in Malaysia through community-based entrepreneurship training. The program was a collaboration between Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta, Sanggar Bimbingan Pantai Dalam Kuala Lumpur, and Sunway University. The training was conducted in three stages: two online sessions on June 29 and August 6, 2024, and one offline session on September 18, 2024, involving 30 participants. The materials covered financial literacy, digital marketing, strengthening of growth mindset, and entrepreneurial spirit development. The program evaluation showed a significant improvement in participants’ ability to manage personal finances, utilize digital media for business promotion, and develop an adaptive entrepreneurial mindset. This program is expected to serve as an effective model for PMI empowerment and be replicated in other destination countries.

Abstract

In today's globalised environment, the importance of conversation in English cannot be underestimated. Conversation in English is the most widely used universal language worldwide and is the primary language in international business. For Indonesia, which seeks to navigate the challenges and opportunities of the free market era and the era of globalisation, mastering a global language, particularly conversation in English, is very important. Proficiency in English conversation equips them for effective communication within SAARC as well as the BIMSTEC Economic Community and European Union countries. In the field of management, English conversation also serves as an international language, ensuring smooth communication and facilitating successful cooperation among diverse stakeholders. Effective communication is essential in business operations. Without it, collaboration between producers, distributors, and consumers will being hindered, which leads to a decrease in entrepreneurial effectiveness. Mastering conversation in English enables us to interact confidently with international business partners, fostering relationships with people around the world. Abstract

The prevalence of stunting in Bakalaeng Village, Sangihe Islands Regency, reached 68,92% among at-risk families, despite the area's abundant fishery potential. The main issue lies in the low diversification of fish processing, leading to minimal consumption of fish as a protein source. This community service program aimed to empower the Family Welfare Empowerment organization through capacity building in the diversification of fishery products, as an effort to help reduce stunting and improve family economies. The implementation method consisted of four stages: (1) participatory problem identification; (2) program presentation and negotiation; (3) facilitation and mentoring using a problem-based learning approach; and (4) evaluation and monitoring. The results showed a significant increase in the knowledge and skills of the Family Welfare Empowerment organization. The partners have been able to produce innovative processed products such as kaki naga (drum stick) and fish balls, and have shown commitment to developing micro-enterprises. The program successfully created a dual impact: improved family nutritional intake and potential income increase. The local resource-based empowerment approach is effective in addressing stunting and can be a model for other coastal areas.
