Abstract

ABSTRACT The current trend in the success of tourism development is based on the growth in the number of tourist arrivals. The existence of the tourist attraction of the Ijen Crater Natural Park with the uniqueness of the blue fire is a popular tourist attraction. The number of visits that continues to increase every year has an impact on life around tourist attractions. The impact of changing people's attitudes is the component most quickly affected by the high increase in the number of tourist visits. This research is important because the location of Ijen Crater is between two districts so that it can affect local communities from different administrative locations. Attitude changes were analyzed using the Irridex theory developed by Doxey on the stages of changing people's attitudes towards tourism development. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive research methodology with data collection methods in the form of observation, in-depth interviews and questionnaires to support qualitative data. From the theoretical analysis of Irridex Doxey, it provides an illustration that the development and increase in the number of tourists in the Ijen Crater Nature Park have an impact on changes in people's attitudes, namely at the Apathy and Annoyance stages. Changes in attitude also occur due to the entry of new capital owners outside the community. Minimizing the impact of the tourism development of Ijen Crater is very necessary to reduce changes in people's attitudes towards antagonism that lead to unsustainable tourism. Keywords: Ijen Crater, Changes in Community Attitudes, Tourism Impact   ABSTRAK Tren keberhasilan perkembangan pariwisata saat ini yang didasarkan pada pertumbuhan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan. Keberadaan daya tarik wisata Taman Wisata Alam Kawah Ijen dengan keunikan blue fire menjadi daya tarik kunjungan yang populer. Jumlah kunjungan yang terus mengalami peningkatan setiap tahunnya memberikan dampak terhadap kehidupan disekitar daya tarik wisata.  Dampak perubahan sikap masyarakat menjadi komponen paling cepat terpengaruh dari tingginya peningkatan jumlah kunjungan wisatawan. Penelitian ini menjadi penting dikarenakan lokasi Kawah Ijen berada di antara dua kabupaten sehingga dapat mempengaruhi masyarakat lokal dari letak administrasi yang berbeda. Perubahan sikap dianalisis dengan teori Irridex yang dikembangkan oleh Doxey tentang tahapan perubahan sikap masyarakat terhadap perkembangan pariwisata. Penelitian ini dilakukan menggunakan metodologi penelitian deskriptif kualitatif dengan metode pengumpulan data berupa observasi, wawancara mendalam dan kuesioner sebagai pendukung data kualitatif. Dari analisis teori Irridex Doxey memberikan gambaran bahwa perkembangan dan peningkatan jumlah wisatawan di Taman Wisata Alam Kawah Ijen berdampak pada perubahan sikap masyarakat yaitu pada tahap Apatis dan Annoyance. Perubahan sikap terjadi juga diakibatkan dengan masuknya pemilik modal baru diluar lingkungan masyarakat. Meminimalisir dampak perkembangan pariwisata Kawah Ijen sangat diperlukan untuk mengurangi perubahan sikap masyarakat menuju antagonism sehingga menyebabkan pariwisata yang tidak berkelanjutan.   Kata Kunci: Kawah ijen, Perubahan Sikap Masyarakat, Dampak Pariwisata DOI : https://doi.org/10.33005/jdg.v11i1.2529

Abstract

Pada masa sekarang ini, penting kiranya untuk membangun kepariwisataan yang didasarkan pada kesadaran akan pentingnya inklusivitas. Artikel ini merupakan publikasi rangkuman kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Desa Wisata Tegaren, Kab. Trenggalek, Jawa Timur. Tim pelaksana program mencoba untuk mengambil intisari dari rangkaian kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang telah dilakukan. Adapun intisari dari kegiatan tersebut terbagi menjadi dua, yakni 1) bahwa kesadaran inklusivitas di Tegaren telah muncul lama, yakni berbarengan dengan dirintisnya desa wisata, dan 2) adanya kesadaran akan inklusivitas tersebut akhirnya membuat kolaborasi dengan para stakeholders sangat terbantu dan dapat membantu Tegaren dalam merancang langkah konkret selanjutnya untuk mengembangkan pariwisata di desa, salah satunya melalui virtual tour. Tim pelaksana program menggunakan pendekatan partisipatoris dalam merancang, melaksanakan, serta melakukan evaluasi program pengabdian kepada masyarakat di Tegaren. Adapun pendekatan tersebut adalah participatory rural appraisal (PRA), asset-based community development (ABCD), collaborative partnership, dan community-based tourism (CBT). Dengan menggunakan banyak pendekatan partisipatoris, artinya tim pelaksana juga meletakkan peran penting pada komunitas atau masyarakat lokal di Tegaren. Peran yang semakin penting oleh komunitas atau masyarakat lokal ini yang kemudian secara simultan menumbuhkan kesadaran-kesadaran kolektif, seperti kesadaran akan inklusivitas.

Abstract

This research aims to describe the results of the SWOT analysis of promotional strategies carried out at the De Javasche Bank Museum Surabaya. This research was conducted using a qualitative descriptive approach. The informant used in this research was one person using a purposive sampling technique, namely the Public Relations division of Bank Indonesia or the management of the De Javasche Bank Surabaya Museum. Data collection was carried out using semi-structured interviews, observation and documentation. The data analysis used is using the SWOT analysis technique. The results of this research show that the De Javasche Bank Surabaya Museum's promotional strategy for the De Javasche Bank Surabaya Museum in building a company image is that the De Javasche Bank Surabaya Museum has carried out several marketing strategies, but some have not been optimized to date.

Abstract

Surabaya Zoo is a popular tourist attraction for different people both in Surabaya city and around East Java. Surabaya Zoo pursues the concept of recreational and educational tourism with a total of about 3,500 species of animals. The purpose of this study was to determine the impact of attractiveness and tourist accessibility on the number of tourist visits to Surabaya Zoo. The research method used is a quantitative approach with correlation research. Using a targeted sampling method, her 50 respondents of working age had visited Surabaya Zoo. The results show that different attractions and accessibility influence tourist visit levels by 59.7%. However, the attraction variable has a greater and significant influence on the level of tourist visits with a value of 0.626. Meanwhile, the accessibility variable has no significant effect on the level of tourist visits with a value of 0.190.

Abstract

Social media is one of the promotional tools that influence tourists' visiting decisions. Through social media, especially Instagram, tourists can easily access the official accounts of the tourist attractions they are going to. Tourist decisions can be influenced by several factors, namely tourist attractions, ease of accessibility and also reviews from other visitors. This research focuses on the influence of Instagram social media and tourist attractions on tourist interest in visiting. This study will try to find out how the influence of the two independent variables on the dependent variable. The research method in this study is quantitative research with sampling using probability sampling techniques. This research was conducted at Becici Pine Peak, Yogyakarta, by distributing questionnaires to visitors who came. From the results of distributing questionnaires, it was found that the majority of visitors came from within the Yogyakarta area and had an average age of 20 to 30 years. The results showed a significant influence between the 2 independent variables (X1) and (X2) with the dependent variable (Y). The presence of social media such as Instagram makes it easier for tourists to make decisions before visiting Becici Pine Peak, Yogyakarta.

Abstract

The city of Surabaya is a tourist destination that has tourism potential in history, beaches, culinary tourism, cultural performances and others. The variety of tourism potential that the city of Surabaya has, encourages the city to continue to innovate in its tourism development so that it can be known by the wider community. The existence of the SSCT Bus is a manifestation of the innovation of the City of Surabaya to be able to introduce tourism through a different experience by riding a bus. This research aims to determine the development of SSCT Bus in promoting tourism in Surabaya. The methods used in this research are field observation, interviews and literature study. The results of the analysis show that SSCT Bus operations are still hampered by ticket reservations and limited quotas on SSCT Buses. Apart from that, SSCT Bus needs to pay attention to promotion through social media, namely creating a special Instagram account, which can focus more on the identity of SSCT Bus itself.

Abstract

Currently, it is very important to build the tourism sector based on an awareness of inclusivity. This article is a summary of the community service activities that have been carried out in the Tegaren Tourism Village, Trenggalek Regency, East Java. The program implementation team has tried to take the essence of the various community service activities that have been carried out. The core results of these activities can be divided into two parts, namely 1) awareness of inclusivity in Tegaren has existed for a long time, along with the development of this tourist village and 2) awareness of this inclusivity has facilitated collaboration with stakeholders, which in turn helps Tegaren plans concrete steps to develop tourism in the village, including through virtual tours. The program implementation team uses a variety of participatory approaches in planning, implementing, and evaluating community service programs in Tegaren. This approach includes participatory rural appraisal (PRA), asset-based community development (ABCD), collaborative partnerships, and community-based tourism (CBT). By implementing these participatory approaches, the implementation team also gives a significant role to the community or local people in Tegaren. This role further strengthens collective awareness, including awareness of inclusivity.

Abstract

Tawun Tourism Park, located in Ngawi, is a special interest tourist destination which is a leading tourist attraction. Not only local tourists in Ngawi who visit this place, but also tourists who come from outside the city are very enthusiastic to see the excitement of the Tawun Tourism Park. With the improvement of the management superstructure of the Tawun Tourism Park and support from the local government, the research team assessed the need for scientific support for tourism analysis. This support can be formed through a readiness analysis and the application of the 4A concept at the Tawun Tourism Park. This article will discuss the extent to which awareness of good tourism management has been used by the Tawun Tourism Park management and a description of the implementation of the 4A concept in that place so far. To write this article, one research was carried out in three stages, namely the preparation stage, the field study implementation stage and the evaluation stage. The research used a descriptive-qualitative type of research and data collection techniques were carried out by interviews and observations. The results of the research conducted are the facts in the field that Tawun Tourism Park has met the basic criteria for tourism, namely A4 (attraction, amenity, accessibility, ancillary) and the majority of residents involved in Tawun Tourism Park tourism are local residents, so this is in line with the spirit of development a tourist destination.

Abstract

Tegaren stands out as one of the premier tourist destinations in Trenggalek. In both 2022 and 2023, it has been honored with a place among the top 500 recipients of the Anugerah Desa Wisata Indonesia (ADWI). This village, nestled on a hillside, also earned recognition at the 2022 Anugerah Seratus Desa Wisata Trenggalek (Sadewa). After conducting research and field visits, the previous research team identified two primary challenges facing Tegaren: 1) an aging population and 2) a lack of digital and technology-based skills among Tegaren's workforce. As a result, the proposing team has developed virtual assistance and a virtual guiding training program in collaboration with Tegaren to ensure that the local tourism sector doesn't solely rely on traditional methods but can evolve into a fully comprehensive digital village. Through the implementation of this virtual assistance and virtual guiding training program, the proposing team, along with its partners, aims to keep the tourism sector aligned with the latest technological and informational advances while enhancing the human resource capabilities within Tegaren. In addressing the issues within Tegaren, the proposing team has introduced the concept of virtual assistance and virtual guiding training, employing methodologies such as participatory rural appraisal, asset-based community development, and capacity building. This approach transforms the village community from being merely the program's target into active program participants, fostering collaboration and ensuring sustainable development for the future.

Abstract

Perkembangan pesat dalam industri pariwisata telah mendorong banyak destinasi untuk mengeksplorasi potensi wisata, susur sungai sebagai alternatif yang menarik dan ramah lingkungan, aktivitas ini tidak hanya menawarkan pengalaman berlibur yang unik tetapi memberikan peluang untuk eksplorasi alam dan peningkatan kesadaran lingkungan. Dalam era otonomi daerah, sektor pariwisata memegang peranan penting dalam menunjang perekonomian suatu daerah karena memiliki keterkaitan sebagai sumber percepatan pertumbuhan ekonomi daerah. Sehingga kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan oleh penulis berfokus pada pengembangan wisata susur sungai yang ada di daerah Kejawan Putih Tambak, Mulyorejo, Kota Surabaya dengan menggunakan tahapan metode survei, kolaborasi dengan pihak terkait, dan pendampingan nelayan. Pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat yang dilakukan diperoleh hasil yaitu survei daya tarik Ekowisata Susur Sungai Kejawan Putih Tambak memiliki keunggulan dalam segi keasrian dengan menawarkan pemandangan vegetasi hutan bakau yang membentuk kanopi di area Susur Sungai. Kemudian pelaksanaan kolaborasi pendampingan upgrading dan pendampingan khusus para nelayan, tujuannya memberikan edukasi terhadap para nelayan terkait ekowisata khususnya pada sistem promosi dan kelayakan sarana transportasi air. Pada pendampingan ini tim penulis telah melakukan survei lapangan untuk membuat sketsa desain arsitektur ekowisata, diharapkan dapat membantu aspek berkelanjutan dalam pariwisata. Hasil akhir yang diperoleh dari tahapan metode yang dilakukan nantinya dapat memperbaiki dan meningkatkan aspek pemasaran, fasilitas dan infrastruktur dari ekowisata susur sungai tersebut.
