Abstract

In the context of rural tourism, the internet is crucial. It is vital to create and implement new technology in order to assist digital tourism in tourist communities and undeveloped, frontier, and remote locations.  The utilization of big data can enhance the precision of predicting tourist flows, providing valuable insights to assist and enhance destination management, planning, and advertising. It can also ease mobility and encourage visitors to be distributed according to time. In addition to supporting visitors with specific access needs and keeping management informed about visitor behavior, artificial intelligence (AI) and automation can also be very helpful in the tourist industry by enabling those with limited mobility to travel the world. In this sense, as the sharing and gig economies grow along with technology, we have more options in our everyday lives—as long as they are properly set up and maintained. Therefore, this paper aims to study the research on internet criteria based on AlUla framework to achieve sustainable tourism in rural areas and to identify the key journals, articles and authors. The findings in this research are that there has been an increase in the number of journals post COVID19, where the country that produces the most journals is China and the author that is most cited is Pesonen JA. To achieve the goal of sustainable digital rural tourism, infrastructure is needed in the form of internet penetration, internet speed and usability, and internet security level.

Abstract

A room can be categorised as comfortable or not depending on the temperature and humidity of the air in the room. In order for the room temperature to be maintained, an Air Conditioner (AC) is needed. In the AC there is refrigerant as the most important component that functions to provide cool and cold effects in the room. However, refrigerant leakage in AC is one of the causes of greenhouse emissions that have an impact on climate change. In order to reduce the emissions caused by AC usage, many researchers are utilising Peltier as a device designed to replace the AC cooling system. In order for TEC to work optimally when cooling the air in the room, it is necessary to design a combination system of Portable Air Conditioner (AC) cooling using TEC and Arduino Uno-based water cooler. The working principle of designing a portable Air Conditioner cooling combination system using TEC and water cooler requires a temperature set point value in the water cooler system, where the Arduino is given a set point temperature range on the heatsink. The temperature on the heatsink affects the pump speed. if the higher the temperature on the heatsink read by the DS18B20 temperature sensor, the pump will work quickly to cool the heatsink side. The temperature on the heatsink, pump speed, and the height of the water cooler in the tub are displayed on the LCD. Before assembling and arranging the components that will be used in the portable Air Conditioner cooling combination system using TEC and water cooler, the design flow of the working principle and tool design of the portable Air Conditioner cooling combination system is needed. After the components are assembled and arranged, the test results are obtained with the conclusion that the TEC with the water cooler method is better at cooling a room measuring 1x1 metre than the water cooler method.

Abstract

The availability of crude oil as a raw material for vehicle fuel is dwindling and limited in nature. One of the renewable energies worth developing is bioethanol, which is one of the alternative fuels that can be used as a biofuel and can be processed from plants containing starch and glucose. In this research, the entire bioethanol identification system in a sugar cane drip distillation apparatus was examined. The distillation process using MQ3 and MQ135 sensors resulted in an alcohol percentage of 42% and 46%. The maximum temperature measured by a thermocouple during distillation was 88°C, while the minimum temperature recorded was 87°C. This study utilized a backpropagation artificial neural network method to identify the detected bioethanol. The architecture of the artificial neural network included 2 input nodes, 4 neuron nodes, and 2 output nodes. The training and testing results showed that the formed backpropagation was able to identify and differentiate the detection of bioethanol according to the given inputs with a success rate of 88.86% for detected bioethanol and 94.86% for undetected bioethanol..

Abstract

This research is part of the knowledge and skills of the S.O.S Scheduled Oil Sampling program conducted inPreventive Maintenance practical course in the distribution curriculum of D3 Heavy Equipment Engineering Study Program of Padang State Polytechnic[9]. Laboratory S.O.S Oil is a labor that could see the characteristics of the final drive oil completely, that the quality of the oil used to lubricate the system in final drive can be known as the condition of final drive. Data from S.O.S Oil Laboratory can be used as a reference in conducting in-depth analysis by engineer related to the condition of machine’s final drive. If the condition of the final drive can be known due the operation, it will ease the heavy equipment technicians to perform Preventive Maintenance. The writer’s current research will focus first on the analysis of oil quality defilement caused by wear of the components of final drive. The inner components of the final drive which streamed by lubricant are highly could cause wear and tear by friction between the materials operating in the   final drive’s working system[5]. The oil on the final drive has specifications or properties that would affect final drive performance. The oli used in final drives uses single gread oils such as S.A.E 50, which are applied to final drives of   eleven-ton excavators[6]. The wear of components in the final drive will be seen from the quality of the final drive oil, if the wear occurs is greater, the  work of anti-wear  additives on the oil  is begins to decrease that there must be a solution and analysis obtained. Test results will be obtained based on test data from the S.O.S.  Laboratory.  The Laravel framework with Model-View-Controller (MVC) architecture is used to create this website for visualization the result.

Abstract

The implementation of Carrier Aggregation makes it possible to expand spectrum use by combining several bandwidth channels that work like a single spectrum. The LTE network is deployed on several bandwidth channels, namely 1.4MHz, 3MHz, 5MHz, 10MHz, 15MHz and 20MHz. Each bandwidth channel that is correlated with the implementation of carrier aggregation will occupy a different and non-adjacent frequency band, namely 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz and 2300MHz. In this research, we tested the effect of a combination of CAs that occupy non-adjacent frequency bands on uplink and downlink performance. Measuring and analyzing network performance to determine throughput using several supporting software, namely Tems Investigation, Tems Discovery and Gnet Track. There was an increase in the downlink throughput and uplink throughput values due to the implementation of CA compared to not using CA. The maximum Downlink Throughput value in the CA combination is greater than the Uplink Throughput. The maximum Downlink throughput value on CA 20+20Mhz is 9427kbps, while the Uplink value is 1133.28kbps. The maximum downlink throughput value on CA 20+15Mhz is 8272.24kbps, and the maximum uplink throughput value is 745kbps.

Abstract

The level of student attendance at tertiary institutions has a crucial role in determining the quality of education. The Information Technology Department at Padang State Polytechnic realizes the urgent need to increase the efficiency of managing student attendance, which currently still relies on a manual attendance system. As an innovative solution, this research proposes designing a face-based attendance system that utilizes facial recognition technology to verify student attendance automatically. One of the challenges in developing a face-based attendance system is the accuracy of calculating the distance between the student's location and the institutional location. To overcome this problem, the research used the Vincenty Formula method which was proven to have a high level of accuracy in calculating the distance between two points on the earth. The integration of this method is expected to increase the accuracy of calculating the distance between the student's location and the institution. Apart from that, this attendance system adopts the Convolutional Neural Network (CNN) algorithm, an algorithm specifically designed to process two-dimensional data. CNN is used to learn and detect features in images so that facial recognition can be done with a high level of accuracy. This approach is expected to improve system performance in recognizing and verifying student attendance.

Abstract

FTTH is a concept that uses fiber optic networks. In the FTTH optical network, one of the devices is an Optical Distribution Point (ODP). There are 2 methods for installing ODP, namely connecting the direct area cable and branching the main distribution cable or branching. In previous studies, branching was only done from ODC to ONT and Optical Light Source (OLS) as a substitute for OLT, so there is no internet network that customers can directly access using ONT. In this study, the author discusses how to activate FTTH devices from OLT to ONT customers, with a comparison before and after activation using a 1:4 passive splitter. Then the attenuation that can be produced is 28.54. Therefore network activation on ODP Branching is very efficient because the resulting attenuation does not exceed 28dB, which is in accordance with PT Telecommunications ITU-T G.948 standards.
