Abstract

The presence of the metaverse as a new generation of virtual worlds raises pro and con responses from the community, including the church. A proper response is needed in dealing with the presence of the metaverse so that the church will not lose its existential-forming aspects. This study was prepared to provide enlightenment or ideas for the church to criticize and welcome the existence of the metaverse according to the teachings of the Christian faith. The method used is qualitative with literature study techniques. The study found that the church must still be physically present to fulfill its essence and carry out incarnational relations. Still, at the same time, it must prepare itself to accept the metaverse as an instrument of future ministry. In this case, the effort that can be made is the dual literacy method, namely, carrying out two central literacy: life literacy and digital literacy in church. Literacy of life means striving for the development of the congregation's faith toward perfection and preparation for acceptance of the metaverse as a service tool through the development of digital literacy. The literacy of the congregation's life is the basis so digital literacy can run according to the corridor of truth. This dual literacy can be actualized through various activities and programs. AbstrakKehadiran metaverse sebagai dunia virtual generasi baru memunculkan respons pro dan kontra dari masyarakat termasuk kalangan gereja. Dibutuhkan respons yang benar dalam menghadapi kehadiran metaverse sehingga gereja tidak akan kehilangan aspek-aspek pembentuk eksistensinya. Kajian ini disusun dengan maksud agar dapat memberikan pencerahan bagi gereja dalam upaya mengkritisi dan menyambut keberadaan metaverse sesuai ajaran iman Kristen. Metode yang dipergunakan adalah kualitatif dengan teknik studi literatur. Hasil kajian menunjukkan bahwa gereja perlu menjalankan gereja figital (phygital) yang berarti melakukan penguatan sebagai gereja dalam bentuk fisik dan bersiap memanfaatkan layanan digital: metaverse. Pengaktualisasiannya  gereja tetap  hadir secara fisik untuk memenuhi hakikatnya sesuai aspek Alkitabiah dan menjalankan relasi inkarnasional namun sekaligus perlu menyiapkan diri menerima metaverse sebagai instrumen pelayanan masa depan. Usulan metode yang dapat digunakan adalah dual litersi yaitu literasi kehidupan dan literasi digital dalam bergereja. Literasi kehidupan berarti mengupayakan perkembangan iman jemaat menuju kesempurnaan dan persiapan akseptasi metaverse sebagai alat bantu pelayanan melalui pengembangan literasi digital. Literasi kehidupan jemaat menjadi dasar agar literasi digital dapat berjalan sesuai koridor kebenaran. Dual literasi ini dapat diaktualisasikan melalui pelbagai aktivitas dan program.

Abstract

The 21st century places digital technology as a basic need and lifestyle for today's society. Discussing technology cannot be separated from the industrial revolution 4.0, and the three main icons are IoT (Internet of Things), e-commerce, and social media. In these three icons, technology plays a significant role in creating the era of social society 5.0 and creating a communication society or homo digitalis, people who always project themselves in digital media to show their existence. This research aims to stimulate the church to adapt to technology to carry out Christian missions through digital and digital-based services. This aims to reach homo digitalis. The qualitative method used in this paper describes and analyzes and describes the results of the topic mapping. AbstrakAbad ke-21 menempatkan teknologi digital menjadi kebutuhan yang mendasar dan gaya hidup masyarakat saat ini. Membahas teknologi tentu tidak dapat dilepaskan dari revolusi industri 4.0 dan tiga ikon utama di dalamnya ialah IoT (internet of things), e-commerce, dan sosial media. Pada ketiga ikon tersebut teknologi sangat berperan besar sehingga terciptanya era social society 5.0 dan terciptalah masyarakat komunikasi atau homo digitalis orang-orang yang selalu memperoyeksikan dirinya dalam media digital untuk menunjukan eksistensinya. Tujuan dalam penelitian ini adalah untuk menstimulasi gereja secara umum untuk mampu beradaptasi dengan teknologi, sehingga dalam pemanfaatannya gereja mampu menjalankan misi Kristen dalam bentuk misi digital dan pelayanan yang berbasis digital. Hal ini bertujuan untuk menjangkau homo digitalis. Metode kualitatif yang digunakan dalam penulisan ini mendeskripsikan dan menganalisis serta menguraikannya hasil peme-taan topik bahasan.

Abstract

Religion should be a pioneer in building an ethical attitude in viewing every difference amid multiculturalism and religious plurality. Claims of truth that are unique to every religion should be a legacy that can become a bridge for adherents of religions to have higher and better ethical awareness. Distorting truth claims, as proposed by Hick, is not a good solution for building diversity. Because truth claims are inherited from a belief that should be maintained and deepened. The problem of tensions between religious adherents is not due to truth claims but the need for more awareness of every religious adherent to ethical values in building interfaith tolerance. To build this ethical awareness, Plantinga proposes a bridge in the realm of shared awareness of God's existence. This awareness encourages every religious adherent to respect the existence of other religious people different from God's creation. In addition to awareness of God's existence, Yunus added this bridge in the Indonesian context to build community culture, which contains ethical awareness to respect adherents of different religions, as proposed by Darmaputera and Suseno. AbstrakAgama seharusnya menjadi pionir dalam membangun sikap etis dalam memandang setiap perbedaan ditengah multikultural dan pluralitas agama. Klaim kebenaran yang menjadi keunikan setiap agama seharusnya menjadi warisan yang dapat menjadi jembatan bagi penganut agama untuk memiliki kesadaran etis yang semakin tinggi dan baik. Mendistorsi klaim kebenaran seperti yang digagas oleh Hick bukanlah solusi yang baik dalam membangun keberagaman. Sebab klaim kebenaran merupakan warisan dari sebuah keyakinan yang seharusnya diperlihara dan diperdalam. Persoalan adanya ketegangan antarumat beragama pada dasarnya bukan karena klaim kebenaran tetapi kurangnya kesadaran setiap penganut  agama terhadap nilai etis dalam membangun toleransi antarumat beragama. Untuk membangun kesadaran etis tersebut, Plantinga mengusulkan jembatan dalam ranah kesadaran bersama akan keberadaan Allah. Kesadaran ini mendorong setiap penganut agama menghargai keberadaan umat agama yang lain yang berbeda sebagai ciptaan Allah. Selain kesadaran akan keberadan Tuhan, jembatan tersebut dalam konteks Indonesia juga ditambahkan oleh Yunus dalam bangunan kultur masyarakat, yang di dalamnya mengandung kesadaran etis untuk menghargai penganut agama yang berbeda, seperti yang diusulkan oleh Darmaputera dan Suseno.

Abstract

The critical role of the church in maintaining the true fellowship of God's people in the digital era. Without eliminating the things that are not too principle in the fellowship of believers with God, such as a place to worship together face to face. The virtual church today is indeed one of the challenges for the congregation of God's people because if you follow the development of the virtual church that is growing today. The author sees that the worship carried out could be more productive. There will often be pros and cons, and the emotional relationship of the congregation to others in the same organization has a very far difference. By preserving the fellowship of God's people without being limited to digital progress, the church must explicitly maintain the substance of the church today. In this article, the research uses a descriptive qualitative method with a phenomenological approach. The results of this study seek to maintain the substance of the church today amid the progress of a growing virtual church. AbstrakPentingnya peran gereja dalam menjaga persekutuan sejati umat Allah pada era di gital. Tanpa meniadakan hal-hal yang tidak terlalu prinsip didalam persekutuan orang-orang percaya dengan Allah seperti tempat untuk beribadah bersama-sama secara tatap muka. Gereja virtual pada masa kini memang merupakan salah satu tantangan bagi jemaat umat Allah, sebab jika dengan mengikuti perkembangan gereja virtual yang sedang bertumbuh sekarang ini. Penulis melihat bahwa ibadah yang dilakukan kurang produktif, bahkan akan sering terjadi pro-kontra dan hubungan emosional jemaat terhadap sesama didalam satu organisasi tersebut memiliki perbedaan yang sangat jauh. Dengan menjaga persekutuan umat Allah tanpa dibatasi pada kemajuan di gital, gereja secara eksplisit harus tetap memelihara substansi gereja pada masa kini. Dalam penelitian artikel ini menggunakan salah satu metode kualititat deskriptif dengan pendekatan fenomenologi. Hasil penelitian ini berupaya mempertahankan substansi gereja pada masa kini ditengah-tengah kemajuan gereja virtual yang sedang bertumbuh.

Abstract

This article examines the metaverse as an opportunity and challenge for the church in the future. Metaverse can be a huge opportunity and also as challenging for the church. The purpose of this article is to describe opportunities that churches have in the metaverse and the challenges which churches encounter. The method is qualitative research on literature study. The result is that churches have opportunities such as buying land and building the virtual church. The church also runs virtual service, ministry, cell group, bible study, and evangelization. The challenge is such as not all churches will be able to afford virtual church, not all churches will engage with metaverse, not all congregations will have an account on metaverse, the congregation might be disconnected from their reality, uncontrol promiscuity, uncontrol false teaching, and virtual crimes. In conclusion, churches have opportunities to optimize their virtual ministry in the metaverse and must be ready to solve any challenges. The author suggests that the churches start virtual church services, and the next researcher examines the metaverse application in virtual church ministry.  AbstrakArtikel membahas metaverse sebagai peluang dan tantangan bagi gereja masa depan. Metaverse bisa menjadi peluang besar bagi gereja dan bisa juga sekaligus menjadi tantangan bagi gereja. Tujuan dari artikel ini memamparkan peluang-peluang yang dimiliki gereja di masa depan dan tantangan-tantangannya. Metode yang digunakan penelitian kualiatif model studi pustaka. Adapun hasil penelitian ini gereja memiliki peluang-peluang di metaverse; gereja bisa membeli lahan dan membangun gereja virtual, gereja bisa mengadakan ibadah virtual, komunitas sel virtual, pelayanan virtual, pendalaman Alkitab virtual serta penginjilan virtual. Tantangan bagi gereja ialah tidak bisa gereka mampu memiliki akun metaverse, tidak semua gereja melek metaverse, tidak semua jemaat mampu memiliki akun metaverse, jemaat bisa terhilang di metaverse, pengaulan bebas yang tidak terkendali, pengajasaran sesat semakin meraja lela serta kejahatan virtual. Kesimpulannya gereja memiliki peluang untuk mengoptimalkan pelayanan di metaverse dan geraja juga harus mempersiapkan diri untuk mengatasi tantangannya. Saran untuk bagi gereja segera miliki gereja virtual. Saran untuk peneliti berikutnya untuk bisa membahas applikasi metaverse dalam pelayanan gerejawi.

Abstract

The digital revolution has shaken the civilization. In a relatively short time there have been drastic changes in the world order. Human lifestyles are now changing in response to the relentless insistence of digital innovation. The shift that occurs at a further stage is the human understanding of the reality of the world and oneself. As far as can be admitted, even the understanding of God can be evaluated. People (individuals and groups) who vulgarly express their belief in the absence of God, are not just assumptions, but they are real! Digital technology continues to innovate and is unstoppable. Those who are not skilled to fight in the digital world have the potential to be isolated from the rapid flow of information. Technological advances are able to create a world with a new culture, from the charming, the ridiculous, the disturbing to the gripping kind of culture.It is impossible for the church to close itself to the swift currents of this change. Adapting as far as what can be tolerated is a wise move. Various domino effects on the spread of the digital era must be responded to quickly and accurately. Openness must go hand in hand with critical thinking. Digital literacy efforts must be balanced with fostering congregational members to prioritize ethics and safety in social media. Keywords: digital, openness, literacy, coaching

Abstract

Entire World had reshock with the metaverse since Mark Zuckerberg claim to rebranding Facebook to Meta  in 2021, November. This Metaverse term is not a new term in digital world because since its emergence, there are many digital manufacture effort to create innovation by meta technology. The development technology of Meta influence all human activities in all circle of life include spiritual activities in early Childhood to renarrative the Bible Text in their context. Because of this reason, the Church try to use Meta technology in ministry service so the early childhood can get full description about the World in Biblical Setting. This research made by explanative qualitative method with comparative analysis to early childhood Sunday School Student in Three different church with different social context.

Abstract

Generasi digital memiliki tantangan tersendiri dalam menghadapi kemajuan zaman yang sarat dengan kecanggihan teknologi. Kemajuan teknologi ini berdampak pada ketakutan dan kekuatiran generasi digital dalam menghadapi persaingan dunia kerja sekaligus mengalami disrupsi akan spiritualitas keimanannya. Hal ini merupakan ironi yang melanda generasi digital. Gereja sebagai mandataris Allah, harus dapat menjawab tantangan ini dalam mempersiapkan generasi yang takut akan Tuhan tetapi juga kompeten dalam bidang keahliannya. Tulisan ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan suatu metode atau model pemuridan yang relevan untuk generasi masa kini sehingga dapat menghadapi tantangan zaman. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dengan pendekatan deskriptif melalui riset literatur dan metode induktif melalui analisis pemuridan Musa dan Elia dalam Perjanjian Lama. Pemuridan vokasional menjadi salah satu model pemuridan yang dapat menjawab kebutuhan generasi saat ini dengan memilih murid; profesionalitas; melibatkan dan mendelegasikan.

Abstract,Relevance of Mission Leadership is one part of Christian activity. The description above states some ideas about the relevance of Mission Leadership, specifically in the Meree tribe as follows; First, the relevance of Mission Leadership in the Meree tribe has the essence of Mission can be learned and applied; Second, Mission Leadership in the Meree tribe in having Evangelical content/materials; Third; Mission Leadership in the Meree tribal community is carried out with the aim of winning the Meree tribal community qualitatively. Abstract

The church has faced challenge after challenge throughout the ages. One thing to remember is that the church was able to overcome these challenges and still exists today. Since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world, new challenges have emerged for the church. The church ministry was shocked and forced to change the face of its ministry through virtual media. This era is known as the digital age. This new challenge becomes a problem for the church how to use media and technology to provide faith-building services to congregation members who are in an active condition using social media. For this reason, it is deemed necessary to formulate an administrative approach in an effort to digitize ecclesiastical services. In this study, the relationship between the church and theological colleges was found as a Christian institution that simultaneously thought about and designed the building of the faith of the congregation. This research uses literature review and descriptive method. From the theory found, an analysis was carried out to obtain administrative contributions for the church in digitizing ecclesiastical services. The finding in this study is that the church must open up to changes in service patterns and involve themselves in the theological college network. To face the challenges that exist, the church can apply administrative science to design and equip God's servants to face the demands of ministry in the digital era. This research concludes that efforts to digitize services are a must, considering that congregation members spend more time on social media, starting from Sunday school children to adults. That is why the church must pay serious attention to how the pattern of ecclesiastical services is digitized to reach and mature the faith of the congregation.
