Madani : jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarakat merupakan jurnal yang memiliki ruang lingkup di bidang hasil-hasil pengabdian kepada masyarakat. Dalam berjalannya waktu pada tahun 2020, Madani : jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarakat berpindah penerbit dari Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis menjadi Lembaga Penelitian dan Pengabdian Kepada Masyarakat UPN Veteran Jakarta. Dengan demikian, proses tata kelola jurnal beralih dan diperkuat terbitnya ISSN oleh LIPI dengan SK 0005.27235335/JI.3.1/SK.ISSN/2020.08 nomor 2723-5335 (Online - Elektronik). Pada tahun 2021 menjadi program prioritas dari LPPM UPNVJ dengan fokus terakreditasi di tahun 2023. Dengan dasar itu, LPPM UPNVJ melibatkan tim editor dan tim reviewer yang memiliki kapasitas dalam mendukung madani sebagai jurnal terakreditasi nasional. Beberapa perangkat pendukung juga sudah disiapkan antara lain, adanya plagiarism check dalam proses peer review, kemudian berlangganan grammarly bagi artikel yang dikirimkan menggunakan bahasa inggris, lalu menggunakan DOI dengan penerbit LPPM UPNVJ. Dari beberapa item tersebut, menjadi bagian manajemen mutu bagi jurnal. Kami harapkan kondisi bisa meningkatkan kepercayaan penulis yang akan mengirimkan kontribusi mengirimkan naskahnya ke Madani : jurnal pengabdian kepada masyarakat.

Abstract

Pangkalan Puskop Bintara LPG located in East Jakarta is one of the official bases of Pertamina which provides LPG sizes of 3 kg and 12 kg. The rotation of the availability and distribution of gases at the Puskop Bintara LPG Base is very fast. However, this is not supported by conditions in the workplace area that have not been well organized. Based on observations in the field, the problems related to the work area, namely the condition of the base is not clean, gas laying that is not in accordance with the layout of gas storage, and the discipline of employees related to cleanliness is still lacking. To overcome these problems, the best solution is to apply 5S, which is sorting (Seiri), arrangement (Seiton), cleaning (Seiso), maintaining good conditions (Seiketsu), and self-awareness of the habits needed to do the job properly (Shitsuke ) The community service method is carried out through the dissemination of the 5S concept and its application such as: sorting goods and disposing of seals (Seiri), placing LPG gas cylinders neatly and regularly both still filled with gas and empty with instructions on the location and name of gas cylinders LPG (Seiton), cleaning LPG seal waste scattered on the floor and cleaning LPG bases on a regular basis (Seiso), making 5S socialization posters for workers as a reminder in maintaining the work area and arranging LPG gas cylinders neatly (Shitsuke). The result of 5S implementation is an increase in understanding the importance of 5S in improving work efficiency and productivity as well as increasing comfort and neatness in the work area.

Abstract

Abstract Physics subjects are considered difficult for some students, for that the teachers try to find methods to  convey physics subjects to be easily understood by students. One method is the practice in the laboratory or applying physical principles in everyday life. The implementation of subjects through practice in the laboratory and in the surrounding environment is one of the characteristics of the 2013 curriculum. Through this service to the community, activities that are applied in physics in daily life are carried out, namely about how to airconditioning (cooling) in a room. Here will be explained about heat transfer through conduction, radiation and convection. Another activity is to introduce various types of electric lamps that are energy-efficient and class-level lighting needs. The two examples of the application of physics are associated with the Indonesian National Standard (SNI), which is a reference value for comfortable conditions for the use of AC and the level of lighting in the classroom. The results of technical guidance activities by providing examples of the application of physics to buildings in the form of the use of lights and air conditioning and the use of measuring instruments make students interested in participating in activities. Thus students are expected to better understand the material presented.Activities related to energy saving are also in harmony with activities related to the environment such as those thathave been widely practiced in the school environment.

Abstract

Abstract The National Commission on Violence Against Women (Komnas Perempuan) notes that the level of  violence against women has been so massive throughout 2017. The violence mostly occurs in the private sphere and is in the form of physical violence, sexual violence and courtship violence, and is mostly carried out by the closest victims namely boyfriend. Violence against women can occur because of the imbalance of power in gender relations. To break the chain of violence against women, this training aims to foster awareness about the values of gender equality in gender harmony relations among students of SMAN 8 Jakarta. This training uses an active student learning approach that requires participants to actively participate in the learning process. For this reason, various learning methods were chosen, among others: the lecture method, question and answer, group discussion, and watching together the film LOVE (Story of Violence in Dating). The training participants consisted of 170 class X students of SMAN 8 Jakarta. To evaluate the effectiveness of training, this training uses qualitative data collection methods namely observation and interviews, and thematic analysis is used as a data analysis technique. Evaluation results indicate that this training is effective. This can be seen from the increasing insight and awareness of students about the values of gender equality as they view women as having the same position as men in family and society, seeing gender is not God's nature, can recognize forms of violence: physical violence, psychological, sexual, and economic, and being negative about violence in courtship.

Abstract

Abstract The lecturers and community-based science and technology service activities are carried out as an effort  to control white root fungal disease caused by Rigidiporus microporus or Rigidoporus lignosus which is difficult to control by farmers because it attacks the root system of rubber plants. One effort that can be done to control this JAP disease is the application of Trichoderma sp in the nursery of rubber plants, so that the rubber seedlings that will be planted fries have been protected by Trichoderma sp. The partner in this service activity is the True Nursery Breeder farmer group which is a group of rubber seed breeder farmers. Farmers are trained to be able to propagate Trichoderma sp and utilize agricultural waste into compost using Trichoderma sp as a decomposer. This activity was held in Kenagarian Sungai Dareh, Pulau Punjung District, Dharmasraya Regency. The result of this activity is that the farmers succeeded in propagating Trichoderma sp using bran as a growing medium, farmers have also made compost from agricultural waste around their environment. After isolating the soil of rubber seed media that has been applied Trichoderma sp, it is known that Trichoderma sp successfully grows well in the soil media and the root system of rubber seedlings. Thus, farmers have been able to do nurseries usingTrichoderma sp as an initial effort to overcome the attacks of white root fungus. Rubber seeds with Trichoderma sp, compost and Trichoderma sp produced by the True Nursery breeders have been marketed to farmers and the community around Kenagarian Sungai Dareh, so that this activity can help improve the welfare of farmers.

Abstract

Abstract Ability in public speaking is an important part in every activity, especially activities in the academic environment. In reality, there are still few school students who have the public speaking skill. Departing from this, the Community Service Team of the Department of Communication of the University of Pasundan took the initiative to conduct services on Public Speaking Training. Dedication was carried out at SMAN 1 Margahayu Bandung Regency, the selection of these locations was inseparable from the many potential students who wanted to have the ability of public speaking to speak in public and presentation techniques, but had not been fully honed. The method used in this training is giving material, discussion and simulation. In training activities carried out, exploring the potential of students is done by asking them to speak in public without preparation. This is indicated by their ability to practice knowledge while taking public speaking training. The training which ended with the simulation showed that there was a good potential for students of SMAN 1 Margahayu Bandung Regency in the field of public speaking. Potential will just evaporate if it is not sharpened continuously to face the world of lectures and jobs in the future.

Abstract

Abstrak Lansekap linguistic (LL) telah digunakan sebagai bahan pembelajaran dan pemelajaran Bahasa Inggris  di beberapa kota seperti Calgary-Canada, Oaxaca-Mexico, Seoul-Korea, dan Taipei-Taiwan. Hal tersebut dikarenakan fungsi informatif dan simbolik dari LL. Dari LL sebuah area dapat dipelajari penggunaan Bahasa Inggris secara deskriptif dan preskriptif. Selain itu, dari LL dapat ‘dibaca’ hubungan antara kekuasaan dan bahasa dan isu-isu menarik lainnya. Sejauh pengetahuan penulis, LL belum lazim digunakan di dalam konteks pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris di Indonesia. Karena itu, penulis berinisiatif menjadikan LL dalam perspektif pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris sebagai tema kegiatan pengabdian kepada masyarakat (PkM) bagi guru-guru Bahasa Inggris tingkat SMP, SMU dan SMK di Provinsi Banten yang diadakan pada 25 Juli 2018 di Universitas Sultan Maulana Hasanuddin, Serang, Banten. Pada kegiatan PkM tersebut penulis mendeskripsikan cara penggunaan LL sebagai materi otentik untuk pembelajaran Bahasa Inggris seperti yang telah dilakukan oleh para guru, peneliti dan ahli bahasa di beberapa negara di atas. Penulis juga mengungkapkan pengalamannya sendiri menggunakan LL sebagai bahan pemelajaran bahasa Inggris. Hampir semua peserta baru mengetahui terminologi LL dan tertarik untuk menggunakan LL sebagai bagian dari bahan pembelajaran bahasa Inggris.

Abstract

Abstract Kuliah Kerja Nyata Pemberdayaan dan Pembelajaran Masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk meningkatkan  pengetahuan dan keterampilan Kelompok tani Budidaya melalui penyuluhan dan demplot tentang penerapan teknologi hatch and carry kumbang Elaeidobius kamerunicus pada kawasan kebun kelapa sawit yang akan berproduksi di Kenagarian Sungai Dareh Kecamatan Pulau Punjung Kabupaten Dharmasraya. Pada kegiatan ini, petani dilatih untuk melakukan penangkaran Elaeidobius kamerunicus agar jumlah populasi kumbang ini mencukupi untuk membantu proses penyerbukan kelapa sawit. Selain itu, petani juga dilatih untuk mampu mengumpulkan polen kelapa sawit yang akan disemprotkan pada tubuh kumbang dikandang penangkaran sebelum dilepaskan kelahan. Hasil dari kegiatan ini Jumlah kumbang Elaeidobius kamerunicus meningkat dari 506 ekor/Ha menjadi 26.270 ekor/Ha dan petani mampu meningkatkan fruit set tandan buah kelapa sawit, sehingga produksi kelapa sawit meningkat sebanyak 30 %. Selain itu, kelompok tani Budidaya juga mampu menghasilkan produk berupa poleh kelapa sawit yang bisa dipasarkan ke kelompok tani lainnya. Hal ini dapat membantu meningkatkan kesejahteraan petani kelapa sawit yang baru menghasilkan. Respon positif tidak hanya darikelompok tani mitra, akan tetapi juga dari kelompok tani sekitar yang juga mingin menerapkan teknologi ini pada lahan kebun mereka. Setelah kegiatan ini dilakukan diharapkan mitra dapat menerapkan secara terus menerus dan dapat pula menyebarluaskan teknologi yang sudah diterima untuk diterapkan ke kelompok tani/petani lainnya di kenagarian tersebut dan kenagarian lainnya.

Abstract

Abstract Household waste in the form of organic and non-organic materials can be used as economically valuable  materials. The Community Service Program was held for 2 months at the RW. 06 Krukut Urban Village, Depok City. The program aims to (1) increase public awareness of the importance of managing and processing waste independently, (2) increasing community knowledge and insight that waste processing units do not cause air pollution, sources of disease, and inconvenience, (3) increase community knowledge and insight into variousindependent composting techniques, and (4) provide training to the community about processing waste into organic fertilizers that have economic value. The method used is to provide training on waste management and its application in daily life. Organic material can be used as organic fertilizer using a composter, processing waste that is practiced in a clean, clean and odorless manner so it is very safe to use for household scale. The output target of the Community Service program is (1) the community begins to realize the importance of managing andprocessing waste independently, (2) the community has the knowledge and ability about the techniques of processing waste into organic fertilizer, and (3) the active participation of the community in solve the problem of garbage sorting systems starting from households, so that a clean, comfortable and free environment from waste pollution is created.

Abstract

Pangkalan Elpiji Puskop Bintara merupakan sebuah perusahaan yang menyediakan dan mendistribusikan tabunggas berukuran 3 Kilogram dan 12 Kilogram dan berlokasi di Jakarta Timur. Selama ini dalam mendukung kegiatan transaksidan aktivitas pemindahan dan pengangkutan tabung gas, seluruh aktivitas dilakukan dengan menggunakan tenaga manusiaatau manpower dimana seluruh proses penanganan material dan perpindahan barang dilakukan secara manual (manualmaterial handling). Di samping memiliki banyak kelebihan seperti fleksibilitas dalam gerakan dan memiliki keuntungansecara ekonomis, kegiatan manual material handling jika dilakukan dalam waktu yang lama dan tidak sesusai denganprinsip dasar ergonomic dan biomekanika dapat menimbulkan risiko seperti low back pain, lower back injuries, dankelelahan (fatigue) kerja. Mengingat banyaknya efek negatif yang dapat ditimbulkan dari kesalahan pada manual materialhandling ini, maka beberapa usulan perbaikan metode kerja diberikan untuk pekerja dan pemilik dari Pangkalan ElpijiPuskop Bintara ini seperti memberikan sosialisasi dan pelatihan kepada para pekerja tentang Ergonomi, khususnyaBiomekanika dan advis terkait tata letak ruangan dan waktu kerja yang lebih memperhatikan aspek standar Kesehatan danKeselamatan Kerja (K3). Hasil dari sosialiasi ini diharapkan dapat menciptakan metode kerja yang baik sehingga dapatmeningkatan produktivitas kinerja para pekerja dan mengurangi risiko low back pain, lower back injuries, dan kelelahankerja.
