Abstract

This research aims to analyze the performance of the Regional Drinking Water Company (PERUMDAM) Tirta Mukti in Cianjur Regency using the Balanced Scorecard (BSC) approach, which consists of four main perspectives: financial, customer, internal business processes, and learning and growth. This study uses a descriptive quantitative approach with data collected through documentation and interviews with employees, as well as internal company document analysis. The results show that from the financial perspective, PERUMDAM Tirta Mukti has maintained financial stability through increased operational revenue and efficient cost management. From the customer perspective, there has been an improvement in service coverage and active customer growth, although customer loyalty still requires strengthening. In terms of internal business processes, the company has successfully reduced water loss and maintained stable service hours. Meanwhile, in the learning and growth perspective, there has been a significant increase in employee training and training cost ratios, reflecting the company’s commitment to improving human resource quality. Overall, PERUMDAM Tirta Mukti's performance is categorized as “healthy” based on the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (PUPR) indicators (2021). The Balanced Scorecard approach proves effective in providing a comprehensive overview of strategic performance in regional water service companies.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effectiveness of implementing the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model in improving student learning outcomes in Islamic Religious Education subjects at the elementary school level. The background of this research is the low level of student participation and understanding due to the use of conventional teaching methods. The research method used is classroom action research (CAR), consisting of two cycles, each consisting of planning, action implementation, observation, and reflection. The subjects of this study were fifth-grade students at SDN Ditrotunan 1 Lumajang in the 2024–2025 academic year. Data collection instruments included observation sheets, learning outcome tests, and documentation. The results showed an increase in student learning outcomes from Cycle I to Cycle II. In Cycle I, the percentage of student mastery reached 72%, which then increased to 92% in Cycle II. These findings indicate that the application of the PBL model enhances student engagement, critical thinking skills, and a deeper understanding of Islamic Religious Education material. Therefore, PBL is a feasible alternative for effective teaching strategies at the elementary level.

Abstract

The study addresses water management issues at the research site, including dry-season water shortages, increasing irrigation demands due to population growth, and inefficient reservoir use. Reservoir operation is modeled as a multi-stage problem, with each period representing a stage, active storage as the state variable, and inflow discharge—stochastic by nature—as input data. A stochastic dynamic programming (SDP) approach is applied to optimize reservoir operations by accounting for hydrological variability and uncertainty. The stochastic model defines discrete possibilities of reservoir storage at each stage, each associated with a probability. The optimization results show that with a water allocation of 1,750,000 m³ for MT I and 750,000 m³ for MT II, a profit of Rp. 40.34 billion was achieved. To explore more optimal results, further allocation scenario analyses are recommended.

Abstract

Poverty in Sukoharjo Regency through empowerment programs run by LAZISMU Sukoharjo. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques in the form of interviews, observation, and documentation. The results showed that the management of ZIS by LAZISMU Sukoharjo has transformed from a charitable approach to productive economic empowerment, through micro business capital programs, skills training, education scholarships, and health services. These programs have a positive impact on increasing mustahik income, reducing dependence on aid, and growing awareness of zakat in the community. However, some challenges are still faced, such as low Islamic financial literacy, limited human resources, and competition between ZIS institutions in the area. This research recommends the need for synergy between institutions and digitalization of the management system to expand the reach and effectiveness of the ZIS program. Thus, ZIS can be a strategic instrument in sustainable poverty alleviation.

Abstract

The digital transformation taking place in the financial sector not only affects people's transaction patterns, but also expands access to various investment instruments. One instrument that shows significant convergence in the digital era is gold. Gold, as a traditional asset with safe haven characteristics, is now increasingly accessible through digital banking platforms provided by banks, including Bank Syariah Indonesia. This study aims to explore digital banking optimization strategies towards gold investment opportunities as an alternative long-term investment in Bank Syariah Indonesia. The approach used is exploratory qualitative, with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews and documentation studies. Data analysis was conducted using the SWOT approach and strategy formulation through the TOWS matrix. The findings show that although the digital gold investment feature is available on most of Bank Syariah Indonesia's platforms, the utilization rate is still relatively low. The contributing factors include lack of customer education, lack of integration of investment analytics features, and unoptimized user interface design. Suggested strategies include improving educational features, developing a risk profile-based investment recommendation system, and strategic collaboration between banks and sharia-based fintech platforms. This research is expected to provide theoretical contributions in the development of digital financial services strategies as well as practical contributions for the banking industry in increasing digital-based investment inclusion.

Abstract

In the current era of globalization, challenges are increasingly emerging from various aspects of life. To address these challenges, it is necessary to instil a foundation of faith that begins in every family. The practice of worship within the family is a form of Christian religious education. Family worship plays a vital role in the spiritual and moral development of family members. Regular worship activities, such as prayer, Bible reading, and discussions about Christian teachings, not only strengthen faith but also shape children's character. Through family worship, the values of Christ's teachings can be instilled, creating an environment that supports spiritual and emotional growth. Furthermore, worshiping together serves as a means to strengthen relationships among family members, enhance communication, and teach the importance of love and understanding. Thus, the implementation of worship in families becomes a solid foundation for Christian learning, which is hoped to shape a generation with strong faith and responsibility in daily life.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the implementation of a mastery learning approach in enhancing verse comprehension in Al-Qur'an Hadith subjects at MA Hamasatul Muslimin Indonesia. Unlike conventional learning that emphasizes memorization, this study examines a systematic approach that prioritizes deep understanding of verse meanings before proceeding to subsequent materials. The research method employs a qualitative approach with a case study design, involving direct observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation. Data analysis utilizes Miles and Huberman's interactive analysis model with triangulation to ensure data validity. The research findings show that mastery learning implementation is conducted through orientation and presentation stages, structured practice in the form of muhadharah, guided practice with teacher assistance and peer tutoring, as well as independent practice through basic competency examinations. This approach creates learning that is not limited by space and time, positioning teachers as facilitators who encourage students' critical and reflective thinking. The findings indicate that the mastery learning approach is effective in developing contextual and applicative understanding of verse meanings, integrating cognitive, affective, and psychomotor dimensions holistically. This research contributes to the development of understanding-based learning practices in Islamic religious education and can serve as a reference for developing innovative learning strategies in Islamic educational institutions
