Abstract

Differentiated instruction is considered a key approach to accommodate the diverse characteristics of students in mathematics learning, particularly in plane figures material at the elementary school level. However, its implementation in the field still faces challenges, and in-depth exploration of teacher strategies through a qualitative approach remains limited. This qualitative case study aims to explore teacher strategies in implementing differentiated instruction on plane figures material in fourth grade at UPTD SD Negeri 4 Bireuen. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with three teachers, classroom observation, and documentation studies, analyzed thematically with the assistance of NVivo 15 software to ensure systematic and in-depth analysis. The results reveal that teacher strategies are integrated into four main pillars: (1) content differentiation through adaptation of presentation modes (visual, auditory, kinesthetic) and learning contracts; (2) process differentiation based on heterogeneous grouping and contextual prompting questions; (3) product differentiation by providing choice in task forms and clear assessment rubrics; and (4) management of a collaborative learning environment. These strategies are supported by the application of the Problem Based Learning (PBL) model and interactive digital media (game-based learning). The study concludes that the success of differentiated instruction depends on the multidimensional synergy among learning elements and the teacher's commitment to being a reflective practitioner responsive to each individual student's needs. These findings provide a contextual strategic framework for teachers in implementing the student-centered Merdeka Curriculum.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the effect of internal auditor independence and internal control systems on fraud prevention with institutional environment as a moderating variable. This study uses a quantitative approach with an explanatory research design. Data were obtained from internal auditors of the Buol Regency Inspectorate through an online questionnaire using Google Forms. The sampling technique used was census sampling. Data analysis was performed using the Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method using SmartPLS software, which included testing the measurement model, structural model, and significance testing through the bootstrapping procedure. The results showed that the independence of internal auditors and internal control systems had a positive and significant effect on fraud prevention. However, the institutional environment was not proven to moderate the effect of internal auditor independence on fraud prevention, and was proven to negatively moderate the relationship between internal control systems and fraud prevention. These findings indicate that the effectiveness of internal audit and internal control systems in preventing fraud does not only depend on technical aspects, but is also greatly influenced by institutional environmental conditions. Therefore, strengthening a culture of integrity and institutional governance is important to improve the effectiveness of fraud prevention in the public sector.

Abstract

Early childhood is a critical period for language development because it supports communication, social interaction, and later academic achievement. However, some children experience speech delay that limits their participation in learning activities. This study aimed to examine factors associated with speech delay in early childhood and to analyze the challenges faced by teachers and the strategies used in classroom settings. This research employed a qualitative case study design involving five children identified with speech delay in an early childhood education context. Data were collected through semi-structured interviews with teachers and parents and analyzed using thematic analysis. The findings indicate that speech delay is influenced by several factors, including limited verbal stimulation at home, early exposure to digital media, limited social engagement, emotional and behavioral aspects of speech, and speech articulation and production difficulties. Teachers reported challenges such as limited verbal output, reliance on non-verbal communication, selective peer interaction, reduced participation in group learning activities, and limited parental awareness of children’s speech difficulties. To address these challenges, teachers implemented individualized verbal stimulation, play-based language activities, structured instructional support, peer-mediated interaction, and parent–teacher collaboration. The study highlights the importance of collaboration among teachers, parents, and relevant professionals in supporting children’s speech and language development.

Abstract

Learning in IPAS at the elementary school level still faces challenges in accommodating students’ diverse characteristics, which often affects learning engagement and motivation. This study aims to analyze the implementation of differentiated instruction and to describe students’ learning motivation in IPAS learning on the topic “My Responsibility in Social Interaction”. This research employed a qualitative approach with an intrinsic case study design. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with teachers, classroom observations, and document analysis, and were analyzed using NVivo software. The findings indicate that differentiated instruction was implemented through the identification of students’ readiness, interests, and learning styles, as well as through differentiation of content, process, and product. The implementation of differentiated instruction had a positive impact on students’ learning motivation, as reflected in increased active participation, enthusiasm, confidence, and willingness to ask questions. The study concludes that differentiated instruction is a relevant and effective approach to improving the quality of IPAS learning in elementary schools.

Abstract

This study presents a PRISMA-guided systematic literature review of 39 Scopus-indexed journal articles published between 2015 and 2025 on socialism in economic systems in the era of globalization, sustainability, and digitalization. Using an integrative Theory–Context–Method (TCM) framework combined with thematic analysis, the review maps how contemporary scholarship mobilizes institutionalist, political economy, and Marxist perspectives across diverse contexts, particularly post-socialist Europe, China, and global socialism debates. The findings show that research is conceptually anchored in comparisons between socialism and capitalism, empirically concentrated on socialist economic reform, post-socialist transitions, and socialist legacy effects, and methodologically dominated by qualitative and case-based designs supplemented by quantitative studies. Global market integration, ideological conflict, and enduring institutional legacies emerge as the core explanatory triangle, while sustainability and digitalization appear mainly as emerging pressures rather than fully theorized mechanisms. The review contributes by uncovering the tight coupling between theory, context, and method that structures cumulative knowledge on socialism, and by proposing a future research agenda that prioritizes cross-context theory deployment, mixed-method designs, and the integration of sustainability and digitalization as central causal mechanisms in analyses of socialist-oriented economic governance.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the instructional leadership practices of principals in building effective schools at Sekolah Dasar Gugus II Ratu Safiatuddin, Aceh Tamiang Regency. The research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with data collection techniques through in-depth interviews, observation, and document study. Data analysis was conducted thematically with the assistance of NVivo software to ensure depth and transparency. The results reveal three main instructional leadership practices: (1) continuous and feedback-based academic supervision, (2) teacher professional development through training and collaboration in Teacher Working Groups (KKG), and (3) the creation of a positive school culture characterized by open communication, appreciation, and discipline. Triangulation analysis using NVivo's project map feature shows a strong alignment between the perspectives of principals and teachers, confirming that these practices tangibly shape a safe, comfortable, and conducive learning climate. The main obstacle faced is the high administrative burden, which limits time for instructional functions. The study concludes that structured and learning-oriented instructional leadership is a key factor in building primary school effectiveness and recommends the need for supportive policies to strengthen the instructional role of principals amid administrative challenges.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of promotional strategies and discount programs on consumer purchase decisions in the smartphone retail sector at Gadgetmart Pontianak. This study employs a quantitative approach using an associative method to examine the relationships and effects among variables. Data were collected through questionnaires distributed to 100 respondents selected using purposive sampling techniques. The collected data were analyzed using validity tests, reliability tests, classical assumption tests, and multiple linear regression analysis. The results indicate that promotional strategies and discount programs simultaneously have a significant effect on consumer purchase decisions. Partially, both variables have a positive and significant effect; however, discount programs exert a more dominant influence than promotional strategies. These findings provide empirical evidence that purchase decisions in smartphone retail are not only influenced by promotional communication but are more strongly driven by price incentives perceived by consumers. This study has practical implications for retail managers in designing more effective and selective marketing strategies and opens opportunities for future research to incorporate additional variables such as product quality, brand image, and after-sales service to obtain a more comprehensive understanding.

Abstract

One of the important factors influencing the successful implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum is teacher commitment. Teachers are expected to demonstrate a high level of commitment in understanding the curriculum philosophy, applying student-centered learning, and consistently implementing differentiated instruction and Pancasila Student Profile Strengthening Projects. However, variations in teacher commitment indicate the need to examine factors that may strengthen or weaken this commitment. Two factors considered crucial in this context are organizational culture and teacher competence. This study aimed to analyze the influence of organizational culture and teacher competence on teacher commitment in the implementation of the Merdeka Curriculum. The research employed a quantitative approach with a causal research design. Data were collected from 179 elementary school teachers participating in Sekolah Penggerak in North Aceh Regency using a structured questionnaire. The data were analyzed through descriptive statistics and multiple linear regression analysis. The findings revealed that organizational culture has a positive and significant effect on teacher commitment, whereas teacher competence does not show a significant influence. These results indicate that a supportive organizational culture plays a more decisive role in fostering teacher commitment than individual competence alone in the context of curriculum reform.

Abstract

Character education is one of the strategic agendas in national education policy aimed at shaping students who are faithful, have noble character, and possess a complete personality amidst the challenges of globalization and digital transformation. The development of digital technology has brought significant changes to students' learning patterns and behavior, which on one hand opens up opportunities for competence development, but on the other hand raises ethical challenges and value degradation. This article aims to analyze character education within the framework of educational policy, focusing on the connection between concepts, policies, and implementation practices in schools during the digital era. This research uses a qualitative approach with a literature study design and educational policy analysis enriched by the results of initial observations in the school environment. Data were obtained from national education policy documents, scientific literature, and previous research findings, and then analyzed using content analysis techniques. The research findings indicate that, conceptually and normatively, character education policies have been formulated comprehensively and are relevant to the challenges of the digital era. However, its implementation at the educational unit level still faces various obstacles, particularly in integrating character values into technology-based learning. This research emphasizes the importance of strengthening character education implementation strategies to align with the dynamics of digital education.

Abstract

Student consumptive behavior has become an increasingly complex social phenomenon in the digital era, while social da'wah activities have developed as an important part of Muslim students' social interactions. This study aims to analyze the influence of social da'wah on consumptive and productive behavior of Muslim students in North Maluku. The research employed a quantitative approach with a correlational survey method involving 350 active Muslim students at Khairun University Ternate selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected using a 1-5 Likert scale questionnaire that had been tested for validity and reliability (Cronbach's Alpha ≥0.7), then analyzed using Pearson correlation and multiple linear regression. The results showed that social da'wah had a significant negative effect on consumptive behavior (r = -0.421; p 0.01; R² = 0.176) and a significant positive effect on productive behavior (r = 0.538; p 0.01; R² = 0.289). The influence of social da'wah on productive behavior (28.9%) was greater than on consumptive behavior (17.6%). Dimentional analysis showed that involvement in da'wah communities had the strongest impact compared to campus da'wah activities and social media. There was a dose-response effect where the intensity of involvement was directly proportional to the impact on behavior. This study confirms that social da'wah plays a strategic role in shaping students' character to be wise in consumption and productive in work, and provides an empirical basis for developing more effective campus da'wah programs.
