Abstract

Water pollution of dug wells is an environmental problem that can reduce water quality. Factors that affect the quality of dug well water are tofu industrial wastewater and RPH waste disposal in Tropodo Village. If the location of the dug well is lower than the pollutant source and has a distance of <11 meters, it is estimated that the pollutant source flow will seep into the well. So the aim of the researcher is to analyze the quality of dug well water in terms of river pollution. This type of research uses descriptive qualitative with a cross sectional approach. The variables used are water quality physically, chemically and microbiologically. Sampling was done by purposive sampling as many as 6 samples of dug well water and 1 sample of river water. Data analysis uses tabular form and is described based on Government Regulation No. 82 of 2001. Construction of dug wells in Bale Panjang Hamlet, which is <11 meters from river pollution, 83.33% of well-walled wells do not meet the requirements and all conditions of the well floor are 100% not eligible. The 6 dug wells are not equipped with SPAL which allows contamination of the dug well water. There are still 90.20% of dug well water whose physical quality does not meet the requirements, 56.67% of dug well water which has chemical quality does not meet the requirements and 50% of dug well water with microbiological quality does not meet the requirements. It is concluded that the quality of dug well water is influenced by river contamination from tofu industrial waste and RPH waste and is influenced by other factors such as domestic waste and SPAL seepage from dug wells. It is recommended to the relevant agencies to always conduct counseling about the construction of good wells and SPAL and make home visits to measure the quality of clean water.

Abstract

Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) is a disease caused by the dengue virus which is transmitted from person to person through the bite of a female Aedes Aegypti sp mosquito that contains the dengue virus. Dengue virus is a member of the flavivirus genus which has 4 serotypes, namely Den-1, up to Den-4. Aedes aegypti and Aedes albopictus are mosquitoes which transmit dengue disease. The purpose of this research is to analyze the influence of the density level of Aedes Aegypti mosquito larva on the Incidence of Dengue Fever (DHF) at Pandansari Village, Poncokusumo District, Malang Regency. This research method was cross-sectional research. The population of this research are all houses in Pandansari Village, ammounted as much as 1520 houses. The sample were taken by simple random sampling and obtained a sample of 316 houses consisting of 3 kampoongs namely Krajan (192 Houses), Wonosari (69 Houses), and Sukosari ( 55 Houses). Based on the research results it is found that the index house (HI) in Pandansari Village is (87.75%), container index (CI) (54.79%), Bretue index (BI) (101.2%), and ABJ (14.2%). the results of statistical test using logistic regression test showed that there is an effect but not significant between the level of larva density and the incidence of DHF. The density of Aedes Aegypti larvae has an effect of 17.6% and 82.4% which influenced by other factors. So, it is suggesled for the people who live at Pandansari, Poncokusumo District, to maintain the cleanliness of the water tub to be drained at least once a week, and cover the water reservoir, so that the mosquitoes can not lay eggs there.

Abstract

Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is a tool used to prevent or minimize the occurrence of work accidents. Compliance with the use of PPE must be carried out by every worker who will enter the work area. This research was conducted at PT. Syngenta Seed Indonesia with the aim of knowing the description of worker compliance in the use of personal protective equipment at PT. Syngenta Seed Indonesia. This study uses a descriptive type of research. Data collection in this study was obtained by means of observation and questionnaire surveys. The sample of this research is all permanent workers in the production division as many as 24 workers. The variables studied were trust, accept, act, and worker compliance in the use of PPE.The purpose of this study is to determine the level of employee confidence in using PPE. The results of the study indicate that the trust aspect of the workers is mostly in the good category. While the aspects of receiving (accept) and aspects of doing (act) workers are mostly in the less category. From the aspect of believing (belief) as many as 18 (47%) workers are obedient, aspects of accepting (accept) as many as 11 (29%) workers are obedient, and aspects of doing (act) as many as 9 (24%) workers are obedient in the use of PPE so that the value of compliance is obtained. workers by 38 (100%). The conclusion of this study is that workers who have a good level of confidence in the use of PPE do not necessarily manifest in attitudes and actions because it can be caused by several factors, one of which is the convenience of using PPE.
