Abstract

In the ever-growing digital era, graphic design skills are becoming increasingly important and in demand in various industries. Seeing the importance of building students' design abilities in terms of skills, it is necessary to implement design training using Corel Draw for students at SMKN 1 Palibelo. However, the obstacle currently faced by students at SMKN 1 Palibelo is their lack of interest in using design technology. This can be seen from some students who are still unable to create designs using Corel Draw. One effort to improve the design skills of students at SMKN 1 Palibelo is by implementing design training using the Corel Draw application. Therefore, the PKM Team held activities to implement Corel Draw design training at SMKN 1 Palibelo. This PKM aims to teach how to create a design systematically and structured using this application. The training provided includes an introduction to the basic tasks of Corel Draw and the tools contained in it. Next, how to practice making a simple poster design. Starting from making worksheet sizes, writing text, giving colors, the editing process to the design creation process. Comprehensively, the implementation of this training went smoothly. Indicators of success can be seen from the input given by the students who took part in this activity, which shows that the majority of students were able to understand the training process provided and also that the design making process was easy to put into practice.

Abstract

Conveying appropriate information to be understood quickly and accurately is very important in various areas of life, both academic and non-academic. A teacher or lecturer is a teacher whose job is to educate and provide instruction to students or students. Data visualization is one way that can be used to present data. The advantage of this method is the availability of statistical graphics which can enrich the display of information so that the results are more interactive for the audience. Google Data Studio is an application launched by Google that can be used to convert raw data into interesting and strategic information for users. That way, the information becomes more appropriate to understand quickly and accurately.

Abstract

Devotion to society in the form of Training to Maitreyewira High School students, especially the 2022 Force Language and Cultural Sciences (XI IBB) classes. Training with Excel application use. This devotion aims to improve competence in basic and reliable computers and master Excel Applications in processing data and preparing Excel-related activities for both tasks or work in the field. Training participants are as many as twenty people. Training is conducted offline in the computer laboratory room and ends with an evaluation of material mastery. The results of this activity showed that overall, each indicator of the participants’ questionnaire showed that the material and the patient were in good categories and excellent.

Abstract

Nowadays, being apart from gadgets is impossible, gadget fever doesn't matter according to age, in fact, many children are addicted to it so parents need wise attitudes in using technology [1]. Using gadgets for too long is very dangerous for children's eye health [2]. Eye contact with the gadget automatically reduces the frequency of blinking. As a result, the eyes are dry, sore and painful. Then, the eyes become red and itchy, and the child even feels nauseous and dizzy [3]. About 83 percent of the information humans obtain comes through the eyes. Research data shows that the prevalence of blindness in children is 0.2 – 0.3/1000 children in developed countries and 1.0 -1.5/1000 children in developing countries, including the majority of countries in Asia. Around 85 percent of the causes of blindness can be avoided or prevented, namely 78.6 percent can be treated and 7 percent are preventable causes [4]. Carrying out regular eye examinations on children from the age of 3 -5 years is very important to detect problems in children from the start. Usually, an eye examination is carried out if parents notice early symptoms such as the child having difficulty seeing up close or far away or if there is a family history of eye problems. In fact, eye examinations for children are very important to ensure that the child's eyes are healthy and do not have vision problems that could interfere with school performance and have the potential to further affect the child's health [5]. This service activity was carried out through material presentation lectures, practice of using APE Fun Thinkers, Role Play, discussion, evaluation and mentoring of posyandu cadres with the result that there was an increase in knowledge from posyandu health cadres about the importance of visual stimulation which can help improve the play experience of early childhood in recognizing the surrounding environment carefully and well through the sensors they have.

Abstract

Golden Age is an era for children which is most crucial in building character in the future. However, nowadays many children are exposed to gadgets from an early age. The role of parents is very important to facilitate creative and positive activities to divert children's addiction to gadgets. Ecoprint is one of the activities that can be done with children. So, the service team held a service in the form of ecoprint training which was attended by women from Desa Batursari who are members of the Batursari Creative Women's School. As a result, participants took part in the training enthusiastically and produced good creations. The hope is that this activity can be an idea for playing with children at home.

Abstract

This community service activity aims to provide a solution for several mosques that do not have large areas of land when carrying out sacrificial services. Of course, some problems must be solved, such as how to carry out sacrificial activities by minimizing risks and not requiring large areas of land. The solution offered is when slaughtering sacrificial animals using a portable cow thrasher. The advantage of using a trestle is that laying down the cow when it is about to be slaughtered does not require many people, nor does it require a large area to lay the cow down. The area used for slaughtering is not so dirty because the blood can be poured into one place. Slaughtering was very fast, seven cows were slaughtered until the meat was separated, it only took approximately 3.45 hours. Cows do not get angry and go on a rampage, making it easier for the slaughter team to slaughter them.

Abstract

Diabetes melitus merupakan suatu penyakit menahun yang ditandai dengan kadar glukosa darah melebihi normal yaitu kadar gula darah sewaktu sama atau lebih dari 200 mg/dl, dan kadar gula darah puasa di atas atau sama dengan 126 mg/dl. Komplikasi akibat diabetes mellitus dapat bersifat akut atau kronis. Komplikasi akut terjadi jika kadar glukosa darah seseorang meningkat atau menurun tajam dalam waktu relative singkat. Kadar glukosa darah bisa menurun drastis jika penderita mejalani diet yang terlalu ketat. Perubahan yang besar dan mendadak dapat merugikan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini bertujuan memberikan edukasi kesehatan tentang penyakit diabetes melitus bagi para lansia Di griya lansia husnul khatimah wajak kabupaten Malang. Hasil kegiatan menunjukkan bahwa dengan penyuluhan dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan setiap individu Pre-test 35% dan Post-test 80%. Pendidikan kesehatan yang diberikan kepada masyarakat, akan meningkatkan pengetahuan di bidang kesehatan. Kegiatan pengabdian masyarakat ini dapat memberikan dampak bagi peningkatan derajat kesehatan di griya lansia Husnul Khatimah Wajak kabupaten Malang.

Abstract

The development of Technology and Information (IT) in the world of education is changing the way teachers convey knowledge to students. Teaching that has been carried out traditionally in one direction needs to be further developed with new learning methods that are interactive and interesting, more creative and participatory in order to increase student learning motivation. The aim of implementing PKM is to equip teachers to develop lesson materials in the form of IT-based interactive learning by utilizing the Canva and Microsof Excel applications. The activity was carried out at SDI PK Muhammadiyah Delanggu which was attended by 24 teachers by the PKM STIE STEKOM team. The training included making interactive quiz learning videos with the Canva application and processing student data with practical Microsoft Excel formulas. The results obtained from this activity were that all teacher participants gained skills and knowledge in developing learning media in the form of learning videos that were more interesting and interactive and completing administrative tasks could be done more quickly. Teachers succeeded in increasing their competency in using Canva and Microsof Excel as interactive learning media and completing assignments.

Abstract

Information technology has developed and provided progress such as the increasing use of computers and the internet in the world, especially in the world of education. Through computers and the internet, all information can be disseminated and can be used as learning materials for students. The development of information technology and the internet, not all information is disseminated positively. Some information is disseminated negatively such as fake news (hoaxes), radicalism, and hate speech. There needs to be skills in using the development of information technology. Digital literacy trains users not only to be proficient in using information technology but also to have the ability to think critically, creatively, and innovatively to produce digital competence. SMA At Thohiriyyah is one of the high schools in Semarang that focuses on understanding and improving the abilities of its students in digital literacy. Insight is needed for SMA At Thohiriyyah students in understanding the importance of digital literacy. Animation video training is one way to increase student creativity in digital literacy in creating learning videos. With this training, it is hoped that students can develop learning videos that can be used on social media such as YouTube
