Abstract

This study measures production periodicity in a 5.56 mm cartridge case manufacturing system using Max-Plus Algebra. The manufacturing system was modeled as a deterministic discrete event system consisting of eleven sequential stages, one lot of 20,000 units, and inter-process waiting time as a model parameter. A max-plus state-space model was formulated to capture temporal dependencies among stages, followed by eigenvalue analysis and iterative simulation in MATLAB. The results show a minimum production cycle time of 109.649 minutes, with the fire-hole drilling stage identified as the critical production stage. The model clarifies the stable production period of a pipeline manufacturing system and supports stage-focused production evaluation.

Abstract

This study is motivated by an apparent contradiction in Indonesian Islamic banking: the number of digital banking users has grown steadily, yet the profitability of Islamic commercial banks (Bank Umum Syariah, BUS) has remained volatile. Prior evidence on the determinants of Islamic bank profitability also remains inconclusive. This study therefore examines the effect of digital banking, capital adequacy (CAR), and operational efficiency (BOPO) on financial performance proxied by return on assets (ROA). Using a quantitative approach, secondary data were collected from the annual reports of 13 Islamic commercial banks in Indonesia over the 2019–2023 period, selected through purposive sampling, yielding 55 bank-year observations for analysis. Data were analysed using multiple linear regression in IBM SPSS Statistics, preceded by classical assumption testing. The results show that digital banking has no significant effect on ROA; CAR has a positive and significant effect on ROA, so the hypothesis predicting a negative effect is not supported; and BOPO has a negative and significant effect on ROA. Jointly, the three variables significantly explain variation in ROA. These findings indicate that, over the observed period, capital adequacy and cost efficiency were the dominant internal determinants of Islamic bank profitability, whereas digital adoption measured by user numbers had not yet translated into short-term earnings. The study contributes to the financial intermediation literature by showing that digital adoption creates economic value only when it is converted into transactions, fee income, or cost savings, and offers practical guidance for bank management and regulators.

Abstract

River infrastructure sustains irrigation, flood control, and regional connectivity, yet its upkeep is often constrained by budgets that fall short of measured needs. This study examines how the Actual Operation and Maintenance Needs Index (AKNOP) value and budget realization relate to the physical condition of river structures across the Progo River Basin, and places that relationship within a non-military defense framework. A census of 88 structures was analyzed through rank regression once the normality assumption was violated. Both AKNOP value and budget realization significantly shaped structural condition, together explaining 87.1 percent of its variation. The negative coefficients trace back to volume-based cost estimation and urgency-driven budget allocation rather than wasteful spending, an interpretation corroborated by expert validation.

Abstract

This study aims to examine the meaning and role of the Ndumma Banana Leaf tradition in the lives of the Lanny people, explore the salvific values it contains, analyze its relevance from a Christian soteriological perspective, and contribute to the development of contextual theology that respects local Papuan culture. The study uses a qualitative approach with a literature study method. Data were obtained from various scientific sources that discuss Lanny culture, local Papuan traditions, contextual theology, and Christian soteriology. The data were analyzed using content analysis and contextual hermeneutics to examine the relationship between local cultural values and Christian teachings on salvation. The results show that the Ndumma Banana Leaf tradition contains the values of acceptance, reconciliation, sacrifice, solidarity, togetherness, and responsibility for the environment. These values are in harmony with the principles of Christian soteriology that emphasize the restoration of human relations with God, others, and all creation. This study also found that the Ndumma Banana Leaf can be understood as a cultural symbol that functions as a theological bridge in explaining the meaning of salvation contextually to the Lanny people. The novelty of this research lies in its attempt to interpret the Ndumma Banana Leaf tradition not only as a cultural heritage but also as a medium for theological reflection that reconciles the Gospel and local culture without losing their respective identities. These findings reinforce the importance of dialogue between church, culture, and society in the contemporary Papuan context.

Abstract

The development of residential areas requires comprehensive planning to ensure land suitability, adequate infrastructure, and compliance with spatial planning regulations. CitraLand Cirebon is one of the integrated residential developments in Cirebon City that continues to expand in response to increasing housing demand. This study aims to analyze the existing condition of the residential area and formulate appropriate development planning based on land suitability, infrastructure, public facilities, utilities, and spatial planning conformity. The research employed a descriptive qualitative approach using a case study method. Primary data were collected through field observations and documentation, while secondary data were obtained from planning documents, spatial planning regulations, and supporting information provided by the developer. The collected data were analyzed descriptively by comparing the existing conditions with the planned development and applicable spatial planning policies. The results indicate that CitraLand Cirebon has developed progressively with adequate accessibility, internal road networks, drainage systems, and supporting public facilities. Nevertheless, several parts of the area still require further infrastructure improvement and spatial arrangement to optimize residential functions and support sustainable development. The study concludes that land suitability, the availability of infrastructure, public facilities and utilities (PSU), and compliance with spatial planning regulations are the primary factors influencing the successful development of the residential area. Therefore, further development should prioritize infrastructure enhancement, integrated spatial planning, and sustainable environmental management to improve residential quality and ensure long-term urban development.
