Abstract

Gram stain is a type of microbiological examination to classify Gram positive and Gram negative germs based on the chemical and physical properties of the germ cell wall. Sexually transmitted infections (STIs) are infectious diseases that are transmitted mainly through sexual intercourse. Sexually transmitted bacteria are including Chlamydia trachomatis (chlamydia), Treponema pallidum (syphilis) and Neisseria gonorrhoeae. Sodomy is a form of sexual abuse. This behavior can also be categorized as anal sex. This act of abuse has a deep psychological trauma and long-term impact on the victim. The act of sodomy will certainly have a negative physical impact on the victim, both in the form of wounds in the anus and the risk of contracting STIs. This study is a retrospective descriptive study aimed at identifying gram negative bacteria with Gram Stain. Data collection through secondary data of gram staining of anal swabs in sodomy cases obtained from laboratory medical records of RSUD Dr. Pirngadi Kota Medan for the period May 2022 to October 2023. The results showed that those infected with gram negative Diplococcus from anal swab samples of sodomy cases were 10 cases (67%) out of 15 cases of sodomy in children. More boys were sodomized, namely 11 people (73%), and girls 4 people (27%). The highest age group was 11-15 years old with 9 cases (60%), 6-10 years old with 3 cases (20%) and 1-5 years old with 3 cases (20%). Gram negative Diplococcus bacteria can be identified by Gram staining of anal swabs of child sodomy cases.

Abstract

This study aims to design an Android-based basic calculation learning media application for SDN 101822 Pancur Batu. The application was created with the purpose of helping students learn basic calculations independently and increasing the effectiveness of learning with interactive features. To produce optimal interactive media, various methods are used, such as collecting data from literature sources, observations, and interviews with experts. In addition, the interactive media design is also carried out using Adobe Animate. After being designed, the interactive media is tested to ensure that it functions well and can improve learning effectiveness. The result of this study is a basic calculation learning media application integrated with the government curriculum and accessible by students anytime and anywhere. This application is expected to help students understand basic calculations better and more interestingly, as well as improve their learning achievement in mathematics.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the challenges faced by Pancasila and Citizenship Education (PPKn) teachers in improving student morale at Ali Imron Middle School in Medan as well as the role of parents in shaping children's morals. The research method used is qualitative with data collection techniques through observation, interviews and documentation. The research results show that PPKn teachers face challenges such as lack of appreciation from students, impaired focus due to students' naughty behavior, and lack of family attention towards children. Parents also have an important role in shaping children's morals by not defending children without careful consideration. The implication of this research is the need for cooperation between teachers, parents and the community in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment in order to improve student morality. The contribution of this research lies in further understanding the challenges faced by Civics teachers in certain contexts and the importance of the role of parents in the moral formation of children, which can be the basis for developing more effective moral education strategies in the future.

Abstract

Education is an effort to foster and guide "all aspects" inherent in humanity. Every person wants to be independent because he wants to interpret his existence as a civilized (independent) human being. So that humans can be independent and free from all shackles to become humane people, one of the strongest efforts is through education. However, the reality is that until now education has not been able to reach its ideal point, namely humanizing humans so that they become fully human, what has happened is the opposite, namely increasing the level and dignity of humans. The theology of independence, which is an accountability of faith as well as practice in a crisis of society with a spirit of independence. A spirit of freedom inspired by the realization of the Kingdom of God in fighting injustice and taking sides for the poor and oppressed for the good and salvation of all people. Worship of God must also be manifested in concern for humans.

Abstract

The Ujung Serdang Village Government plays a crucial role in empowering the local community, focusing on economic development and cultural preservation. These initiatives aim to enhance welfare, economic independence, and local wisdom. However, challenges such as lack of community awareness and insufficient support from the central government persist. This study analyzes the village government's role through implemented programs and their impacts, using a descriptive qualitative method. The results are expected to provide insights into effective empowerment mechanisms and identify obstacles for future improvements.

Abstract

In the midst of this modern era, it feels like people are starting to forget the meaning of Christian brotherhood. The practice of exercising compassion is increasingly fading, especially since people are increasingly busy in their own world. Now, modern humans are more likely to be "indifferent" to other people. They tend to spend their time in cyberspace or social media. Of course, changes in human attitudes greatly influence one another. Jesus' teachings about love no longer concern Christians. To correct this, Christians must look again at what love really means, and what should be done so that brotherhood is not lost further. In this article, the author will discuss how love is the basis for building brotherhood in the context of church and society, with the basis of the Bible from Yohanes 13:34-35

Abstract

John Wesley’s doctrine about sanctification is biblical. This claim has been  done research through analysis of dogmatic-theology. First it must be clear, and than continued to the basic impact of this doctrine toward social transformation. Understanding the impact of sanctification to social transformation would not be separated from its implications and the social context of John Wesley in that time. John Wesley’s sanctification doctrine is a very clear implications for the social transformation movement. There are implications of “inner holiness” (Love God) toward the “outer holiness” (love for follow human beings). The basic of  John Wesley’s sanctification doctrine is through two-way relationship “love”. John Wesley’s sanctification doctrine which implicated to the social transformation movement is very relevant to the John Wesley’s context in that time, which in British, there was bad social background, bad economic and political and very weak spiritual. John Wesley’s doctrine is also very relevant to the social transformation movement in Indonesia, which at this time in such the contexts of property, suffering, injustice and others. Methodist church of Indonesia, in the matter of this does not need to seek a theory or another tradition of the church in order to dynamicize the church’s community to achieve common prosperity. If John Wesley said: “The World is my Parish” then it also meant Indonesia.

Abstract

Land is an important part of human life. Therefore, the state as the highest organization is obliged to provide people's agrarian rights.  However, until now, agrarian conflicts still haunt the affected communities.  An example is Pakel Village, Banyuwangi, where most of the area is still controlled by the colonial plantation authorities and Perhutani.  The conflict, which started in 1993, then re-emerged in 2012 and continued in 2017 until now.  Until now there has been no clear solution and the state has not been able to fulfill its promise.  Neither legally nor has it been able to provide a protective umbrella that can guarantee the Pakel community.  This research aims to analyze conflict and how strategic communication can reduce agrarian disputes in Pakel Village.  The research is descriptive qualitative type.  Data collection techniques in this research were obtained through literature study or library research through journal research article sources and online news.  The research results reveal several stages of strategic communication that can be pursued in the process of reducing agrarian conflict, namely: (1) consolidating internal parties related to conflict resolution;  (2) conducting mediation involving all parties involved in the conflict;  and (3) involving stakeholders in conflict resolution.  Consolidation is a communication process, where all parties are involved in high intensity discussions. The mediation process is also part of the communication strategy in resolving agrarian conflicts.  Through this consolidation and mediation, the government as the guarantor of law and justice or what we can call a mediator can map the point of origin of the conflict, the actors involved, the magnitude of the losses, as well as the strategies and tactics for resolving it.

Abstract

In today's digital era, electronic trading platforms such as live shopping have become increasingly popular as a primary sales channel for many businesses. Live shopping combines elements of interactivity and immediacy, allowing sellers to communicate in real-time with potential buyers. This study aims to investigate the impact of negotiation techniques used during live shopping sessions on the Shopee platform on increasing sales. Using a quantitative approach, this research collected data from 100 sellers who actively used live shopping on Shopee for six months. The negotiation techniques analyzed include tactics such as limited-time offers, progressive discounts, and responsive direct interactions. The results of the statistical analysis indicate that the effective use of negotiation techniques significantly increases sales volumes. This research provides new insights for online sellers on how to optimize their sales strategies and suggests that training in negotiation techniques should be an integral part of the seller's preparation to maximize their sales potential on live shopping platforms.

Abstract

This research explores the role of leadership in the development of Electronic Government Systems (EGS) in Medan City. Using a qualitative approach with a literature review research design, the study analyzes how leadership influences the implementation of information technology in government administration. Findings indicate that strong and technology-oriented leadership can inspire innovation and transformation in EGS, facilitate community involvement, and enhance public service efficiency. Managerial and policy implications are outlined to support the sustainable development of EGS in Medan City.
