Abstract

This study analyzes the influence of company size, profitability, and audit committee on audit report lag in energy sector companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) during 2019–2023. Using a purposive sampling technique, 57 companies were selected, producing 285 firm-year observations. The study applies a quantitative approach using multiple linear regression with audited annual reports obtained from IDX and company websites. The results show that company size, profitability, and audit committee size have a significant negative effect on audit report lag, both partially and simultaneously. These findings indicate that internal company characteristics play an important role in determining the timeliness of audited financial report submissions. Enhancing these internal attributes is essential for supporting transparency and strengthening stakeholder confidence.

Abstract

In the midst of a rapidly evolving digital transformation, the question of ethics in the field of information technology has transcended mere academic discourse; it has become an urgent practical necessity. This article addresses a fundamental question: to what extent do information systems professionals apply ethical principles in their work, and how has the ethical landscape shifted as digital technology adoption continues to expand? Through a Systematic Literature Review (SLR) approach, this study analyzes 15 reputable journal articles published between 2021 and 2026, sourced from Scopus and SINTA-indexed journals. The findings reveal that professional ethics in information systems development and management encompasses four interrelated dimensions: professional accountability, data security and privacy, algorithmic transparency, and public interest orientation. The study also uncovers a significant gap between existing ethical frameworks in theory and actual practice in the field, particularly within organizations facing the pressures of digital acceleration. This research proposes an integrative conceptual framework that can serve as a reference for practitioners, researchers, and policymakers in formulating more adaptive and contextually relevant professional ethics standards in the digital era.

Abstract

Rheumatoid Arthritis (RA) is a chronic autoimmune disease characterized by persistent inflammation of the joints and the potential to impair the function of multiple extra-articular organs. This inflammatory process may result in joint stiffness, pain, and swelling, which if left inadequately managed, can lead to progressive joint dysfunction and irreversible disability. Antibiotic susceptibility testing is a laboratory method used to evaluate the sensitivity of bacteria to specific antibiotics and to determine the effectiveness of antimirobacterial agents. This study aimed to evaluate the susceptibility of Streptococcus Pyogenes, a bacterium associated with rheumatic fever, to antibiotics in patients with Rheumatoid Arthritis based on the inhibition zone produced. This research employed a quantitative study design. The antibiotic susceptibility test was performed using the Kirby-Bauer (Disc Diffusion) method, with blood agar culture medium used to isolate Streptococcus Pyogenes. The results indicated that azithromycin exhibited greater antibacterial activity against Streptococcus Pyogenes than amoxicillin, as demonstrated by a larger and more distinct inhibition zone. Therefore, azithromycin was found to be more effective than amoxicillin against streptococcus pyogenes under the conditions of this study.

Abstract

Breast cancer is a disease with a high incidence and mortality rate worldwide. Determining patient prognosis is often challenging due to the complex clinical factors involved. This study aims to develop a model for predicting breast cancer prognosis using a hybrid Artificial Neural Network (ANN) and K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) method. The dataset used is the Breast Cancer Wisconsin Prognostic (WPBC), obtained from the UCI Machine Learning Repository, comprising 198 patient data with 35 attributes. The research steps include data cleaning, label transformation, normalization using Min-MAX Scaler, feature extraction using ANN, and classification using KNN. The optimal K-value was determined by testing K=1, K=3, K=5, and K=7 using stratified K-fold cross-validation. Test results indicate that the highest accuracy of 84.62% was achieved in the fifth fold with K=7.

Abstract

The Curriculum Review course requires learning media that help students analytically connect concepts, curriculum characteristics, learning processes, assessment, and curriculum governance across the School-Based Curriculum (KTSP), the 2013 Curriculum, and the Merdeka Curriculum. This study aims to evaluate the design quality and potential pedagogical effectiveness of KuriKompas 3K in supporting the curriculum literacy of students in the Office Administration Education program. The study employed a qualitative evaluative approach through the analysis of the learning media, instructional package, curriculum regulations, and scholarly literature on multimedia learning, student engagement, constructive alignment, and small group discussion. The findings indicate that the learning map, three-curriculum exploration, five-lens matrix, Case Lab, formative quizzes, and reflective activities establish a coherent learning sequence from conceptual understanding to case analysis. The integration of self-directed exploration with small group discussion has the potential to enhance student engagement, the quality of argumentation, and conceptual understanding when supported by effective lecturer facilitation, clear role distribution, adequate device accessibility, and targeted feedback. This potential effectiveness may be evaluated through changes in students' conceptual understanding, rubric-based analytical performance, engagement, collaboration, and perceived usefulness. Pedagogically, KuriKompas 3K is suitable as both a cognitive and social scaffolding tool; however, its empirical effectiveness still requires field testing involving student participants. KuriKompas 3K offers an integrated learning model that can strengthen curriculum literacy and be adapted for other teacher education courses.

Abstract

Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is a high-value horticultural crop whose productivity depends strongly on land suitability, particularly in volcanic regions where repeated eruptions alter soil properties and landscape characteristics. Evaluating land suitability is therefore essential for identifying cultivation constraints and developing sustainable land management strategies. This study assessed the actual and potential land suitability for potato cultivation in the post-eruption area of Mount Sinabung, North Sumatra, Indonesia, using a Geographic Information System (GIS)-based land evaluation approach integrated with the FAO matching framework. Land Mapping Units (LMUs) were delineated through the overlay of soil type, elevation, and slope maps, followed by field surveys and laboratory analyses of soil physical and chemical properties. Thirteen LMUs were identified, with LMU 1 (Sigarang-garang Village) and LMU 2 (Sukanalu Village) representing the eruption-affected agricultural areas. Under current conditions, LMU 1 was classified as Not Suitable (N) because of severe erosion hazards, whereas LMU 2 was classified as Marginally Suitable (S3), primarily constrained by temperature and nutrient retention. Following the implementation of feasible land improvement measures, including soil conservation, liming, and organic matter application, the potential suitability of LMU 1 improved to S3, while LMU 2 remained S3 due to persistent climatic and land preparation constraints. The findings indicate that erosion hazard and nutrient retention are manageable limiting factors, whereas temperature and topographic conditions remain relatively permanent constraints. This study demonstrates the value of integrating GIS, field observations, laboratory analyses, and FAO land evaluation for supporting evidence-based agricultural planning and sustainable potato production in volcanic post-eruption landscapes.
