Abstract

This study examines the awareness of Westernization among Environmental Engineering students of Class C in the 2022 cohort at UPNVJT and their understanding of its impact on Indonesia. Westernization is a process of imitating cultural practices from other countries, particularly Western countries, and is associated with adopting a Western lifestyle. The findings indicate that these students are aware of the strong influence of Westernization in Indonesia and recognize its negative consequences. Despite being personally affected by Westernization, they possess the ability to filter unwanted information and demonstrate awareness of the benefits and drawbacks of Westernization in the Indonesian context.

Abstract

In managing their government, many countries use a democratic system. One of them is Indonesia. Democracy that is currently used is the influence of the concept of modern democracy. Where the highest sovereignty holders are in the hands of the people and carried out based on the 1945 Constitution. Indonesia has experienced several changes in the democratic system. This journal has a goal so that readers can understand and implement democracy in the life of the nation and state. This study uses a descriptive approach method whose basic discussion is obtained from various sources such as books, journals and articles. With the topic raised, namely democracy, the writer is interested in analyzing this because it is very important to develop knowledge about democracy for the nation and state.

Abstract

PT Samudera Sriwijaya Logistik is a subsidiary of PT Samudera Indonesia Tbk which is engaged in container loading and unloading services. Lift On or Lift Off is carried out at the container depot and at the shipyard or port. Lift On is a ship loading activity that raises containers from trailer trucks to ships and Lift Off is a ship unloading activity that lowers containers from ships to trailer trucks. trailers. Therefore the authors conducted interviews with operational parties to find out what obstacles occurred during the lift off process. Based on the results of the author's observations, the obstacles that occur when the lift off container process is caused by a lack of maintenance on the wirerope. This wirerope is a steel rope that is inside the wiredrum forming a circle and can make it easier for the wirerope to go in and out with the wirerope being neatly rolled up. There are problems related to this wirerope because there are wirerope that is broken, rusty, wirerope is not maintained, SOP is not working properly, officers forget to check wirerope, loading and unloading equipment data documents have errors and there is a load that exceeds capacity. These problems will be analyzed using fishbone diagrams or cause effect diagrams.

Abstract

Indonesia, as a democratic country, guarantees its citizens the privilege of free expression. Allowing freedom of expression does not imply complete freedom, because Indonesia, as a democratic country, has rules in place to ensure peace and the well-being of its citizens. Freedom of expression in social life is expected to have an impact on the country's development and progress by attaching to various existing regulations and taking responsibility for their actions. The research method used is normative juridical, which focuses on studying the formulation of the problem by collecting legal data in the form of laws and research journals that regulate Indonesia's right to free expression. The conclusions show that positive law in Indonesia has evolved in accordance with social transformation, such as the passage of the 1945 Constitution of the Republic of Indonesia Article 28E paragraph (2) and Article 1 paragraph (1) of Law No. 9 of 1998, Law No. 40 of 1999 concerning the Press, and UU no. 19 of 2016 concerning Amendments to Law No. 11 of 2008 concerning Information and Electronic Transactions, which regulate legal protection for the public.

Abstract

Previous research or relevant research is very important in a research or scientific article. This article reviews the factors that influence employee performance, namely the use of information technology, effectiveness of accounting information systems and internal control systems, a literature study on human resource management. The purpose of writing this article is to build a hypothesis on the influence between variables to be used in further research. The results of this literature review article are: 1) Use of Information Technology affects Employee Performance; 2) Effectiveness of Accounting Information Systems affects Employee Performance; and 3) Internal Control System affects Employee Performance.

Abstract

Previous and related analyzes are very important in analysis or in scientific articles. Prior research and related research support strengthening the concept and phenomenon of the relationship or influence on variables. The scientific article presents a description of the influence of K3 and motivation on employee productivity. The aim of these authors is to develop hypotheses regarding the effect of variables in further research. Research results based on literature reviews in several previous research journals prove that 1). Occupational Health and Safety (K3) has a positive and significant effect on Employee Productivity, 2). Work motivation has a significant positive effect on employee productivity, 3). Occupational Health and Safety (K3) and Work Motivation simultaneously have a significant effect on Employee Productivity.

Abstract

This study discusses the relationship between law and society. The aim of this research is to understand how law and society influence each other in different social and cultural contexts. The research method used is literature study and data analysis. The results of the study show that the implementation of law in society can be complex due to differences in cultural values, customs, religions and prevailing norms. Law plays an important role in shaping the social order of society, providing protection, and upholding values that are considered important. However, the implementation of unfair laws can trigger social dissatisfaction and conflict in society. Therefore, the implementation of law must take into account the various perspectives of society and seek the right balance between individual interests and public interests.

Abstract

Pandemi global Covid-19 berdampak dalam transformasi proses bisnis yang mendorong inovasi dan efisiensi. Pertumbuhan pengguna internet yang signifikan dalam pasar digital di berbagai bidang khususnya dalam bidang industri jasa keuangan, telah memudahkan konsumen untuk melakukan kegiatan proses pembayaran, pinjam meminjam uang, transfer maupun jual beli saham tanpa harus keluar rumah cukup hanya melalui financial technology. Seiring dengan pertumbuhan financial technology yang pesat berbanding lurus dengan munculnya problematika dalam aspek perlindungan data pribadi warga negara. Kasus penyalahgunaan data pribadi adalah salah satunya. Permasalahan yang dibahas yaitu implementasi perlindungan hukum kepada konsumen terkait data pribadi konsumen financial technology oleh Bank Indonesia dan OJK dan upaya penanggulangan oleh OJK dan BI dalam mengatasi pencurian dan penyalahgunaan data pribadi konsumen oleh penyelenggara financial technology. Metode penelitian tesis ini menggunakan metode penelitian hukum yuridis normatif yaitu mengacu pada norma-norma hukum. Penelitian ini bersifat deskriptif analitis, yang mengungkapkan peraturan perundang-undangan yang berkaitan dengan teori-teori hukum yang menjadi objek penelitian. Sumber data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer dan data sekunder. Metode yang digunakan dalam pengumpulan data tersebut adalah dengan menggunakan studi dokumen (document study) atau studi kepustakaan (library research), yaitu dengan mempelajari peraturan perundang - undangan, buku, situs internet, media massa, dan kamus yang berhubungan dengan judul tesis ini. Serta menggunakan studi lapangan (field research), yaitu dengan bertanya kepada narasumber yang berhubungan dengan judul tesis ini. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian yang diperoleh, menunjukkan bahwa pengaturan mengenai data pribadi di Indonesia belum mampu mengakomodasi untuk memberikan perlindungan kepada konsumen dan upaya penanggulangan oleh BI dan OJK dalam mengatasi pencurian dan penyalahgunaan data pribadi konsumen adalah hanya berupa pengawasan dan pembinaan yang efektif dan juga melakukan pelayanan pengaduan konsumen yang dirugikan oleh fintech termasuk membuat mekanisme pengaduan konsumen yang dirugikan.

Abstract

This study aims to find out how the development and comparison between Sharia Insurance & Conventional Insurance. The discussion focuses on seeing how the movement of the number of insurance companies. By using a comparative approach, the results of this study concluded that conventional insurance until the last year of research still dominated compared to Islamic insurance because conventional insurance was known by the community before Islamic insurance. As a result, it can be seen that Islamic insurance has a slower development compared to conventional insurance.
