Abstract

In the treatment of pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) requires a long period of time so that consistency of patient compliance in taking medication is needed. Patient compliance in taking medication is very important, this aims to control the number of TB cases. Compliance in taking medication needs to be supported by increasing knowledge, motivation and family support. This study aims to determine the factors related to compliance in taking medication in pulmonary tuberculosis (TB) patients at the Cikedal Health Center, Cikedal District, Pandeglang Regency. This type of research is quantitative with a descriptive analytical research design and uses a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples in this study was 30 with a sampling technique using total sampling, the data collection tool used was a questionnaire with bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square test. The results of the study showed that factors related to compliance in taking medication were education level p value = 0.009, knowledge level p value = 0.001, attitude p value = 0.004, family support p value = 0.004, and access to treatment p value = 0.001. There needs to be increased socialization regarding TB disease so that the community can be more compliant with the treatment being carried out.

Abstract

Effective postoperative pain management is a key element in patient recovery after surgery, but often standard protocols do not take advantage of the potential of real-time data and digital technology for more responsive therapy adjustments. The aim of this study was to identify the latest innovations in digital-based postoperative pain management. A literature review examined the use of digital technology in postoperative pain management, focusing on smartphone apps, wearable devices, and real-time data analytics for monitoring patient pain with the keywords "Pain Management AND Digital Postoperative" OR "Digital Health AND Pain Management" AND "Technology" OR "Information Systems". The year of the source of the literature taken is 2019-2024. Database searches use Scopus, Pub Med, Sage Journal, and Google Scholar. The findings of this review suggest that the integration of digital technology in postoperative pain management can improve the personalization of care by allowing for more accurate and responsive therapy adjustments to changes in patients' pain conditions. Data-Based Approaches in the Digital Era are Virtual Reality (VR), PASHA Application (pain assessment, stimulating and healing application), A wireless intelligent PCA (Wi-PCA) AI (Artificial Intelligence), Cell Phone Application, Wearable Devices, Mhealth, NeuroCuple, LINE, Digital Intervention Group, The Panda App and A Digital Application. Wearable apps and devices effectively monitor pain and enable real-time therapy adjustments. Digital-based innovation can be used as an alternative nursing intervention for post-operative pain management.

Abstract

Hypertension is a chronic medical condition that requires long-term management through medication and lifestyle changes. Adherence to the treatment regimen is a key factor in controlling blood pressure and preventing potentially fatal complications. This study aims to evaluate the relationship between adherence to medication consumption and blood pressure in hypertension sufferers. This study used a cross-sectional design involving 40 respondents who were diagnosed with hypertension at several health centers in Nganjuk City. Data was collected through a questionnaire that measured the patient's level of compliance with taking antihypertensive drugs and blood pressure checks carried out by medical personnel. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant relationship between the level of adherence to taking medication and the level of blood pressure control (p < 0.05). Patients who have a high level of compliance tend to have better controlled blood pressure compared to patients who are not compliant. These findings emphasize the importance of improving adherence to treatment in hypertension management to achieve optimal health outcomes.

Abstract

Hypertension or high blood pressure is one of the significant health problems worldwide as it can cause deadly heart disease and stroke that often go unnoticed. Controlling blood pressure is important to prevent the recurrence of hypertension and minimize the occurrence of complications resulting from the condition. This study aims to determine the relationship between hypertension severity and recurrence frequency in hypertensive patients at Senduro Health Center. This study is survey research with a correlational design, utilizing a cross-sectional approach with a population of 80 hypertensive patients in the working area of Senduro Health Center. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, with a sample size of 65 participants. Data was collected using a sphygmomanometer and a questionnaire on the frequency of recurrence, and data analysis was done using the Spearman Rank test. The study results showed that the most common severity of hypertension was stage 1 hypertension, with 27 respondents (41.5%), and the most common frequency of recurrence was rare recurrence, with 32 respondents (49.2%). There was a significant correlation between the severity of hypertension and the frequency of recurrence in hypertensive patients, with a p-value of 0.000 < α=0.05. The higher the severity of hypertension, the more frequent the recurrence in hypertensive patients at Senduro Health Center. It is hoped that the community can control their blood pressure to minimize recurrence and reduce the risk of complications.
