Abstract

Asphyxia neonatorum is a condition where the baby does not breathe spontaneously and regularly immediately after birth; this condition can be accompanied by hypoxia, hypercapnia, and up to acidosis. This study aims to analyze the relationship between gestational age and the incidence of neonatal asphyxia in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Tongas Hospital, Probolinggo District. This research is quantitative with a correlational design using a cross-sectional study approach with a total of 35 respondents using an accidental sampling technique. Data collection includes coding, editing, and tabulating, then analyzed manually and by computer with the Spearman Rank Test. Based on data from 35 respondents who were studied in the period June 20, 2022, to August 31, 2022, the majority were preterm, with a total of 17 respondents (48.6%), including mild asphyxia 4 (11.4%) and moderate asphyxia 13 respondents (37.1%) %). With p=0.000 (a=0.05), there is a relationship between gestational age and the incidence of neonatal asphyxia in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Tongas Hospital, Probolinggo Regency. Midwives are expected to immediately determine gestational age because it is important to predict delivery to prevent neonatal asphyxia.

Abstract

Family planning is one of the most effective ways to increase family resilience, health, and safety for mothers, children, and women. This study aimed to analyze the relationship between implant contraceptive use and acceptor weight changes. The research design in research is correlational analytic research. The population in this study were mothers who used implant contraception in the working area of Pustu Blado Kulon, Probolinggo Regency, in January 2022, with as many as 69 people. The number of samples is 69 people with a total sampling technique. Collecting data using a questionnaire, then the data is processed using SPSS using chi-square. In body weight, implant changes acceptor's weight obtained a p-value of 0.015 (smaller than a=0.05) so there is a significant relationship between the variable use of implants and changes in body weight in acceptors. maternal weight gain while using hormonal contraceptives between 1-2 kg at the start of using contraceptives. This weight gain is still considered normal because weight gain is caused by fluid retention, increased body fat, and increased appetite. Attention is needed if the acceptor's weight gain exceeds 2 kg while using hormonal contraception.

Abstract

Weaning is the process of stopping breastfeeding gradually or all at once. The weaning process is recommended around the age of 2 years on the grounds that breastfeeding for more than 2 years has reduced nutrition. The research aims to identify the relationship between weaning age and the nutritional status of 2-year-old toddlers This research is a descriptive-analytic study, while the research design is cross-sectional. The data were taken from the data form of mothers and children who visited the integrated health service in the village, Pos Pelayanan Terpadu (Posyandu) Melati, Pasirian Village, Lumajang which was held on August 9, 2022, with a total population of 50 toddlers, the sample studied was 50 toddlers (Total Sampling). The data in this study were analyzed by univariate analysis and bivariate analysis using the Chi-Square Tests with a value obtained p=0.000, which means that there is a relationship between weaning age and the nutritional status of toddlers aged 2 years at Posyandu Melati, Pasirian Village, Lumajang Regency. So improper weaning results in low nutritional intake received by children aged 2 years. Likewise, children who have started to be weaned must pay special attention so that the nutrition that the child gets is sufficient.

Health education is an important issue that needs attention from all parties. The problem women often face regarding reproductive health is vaginal discharge. Leucorrhea is discharge or discharge from the vagina that is not blood. Leucorrhea is normal and abnormal. Normal vaginal discharge is characterized by a clear to whitish color, odorless and itchy, while abnormal vaginal discharge is characterized by a yellow to greenish color, smells, and causes itching. This study aims to analyze the effect of Health Education on the level of knowledge of young women about vaginal discharge. The research design used the pre-experimental method with one group pretest and post-test design. The sampling technique used is total sampling. The number of samples in this study was 40 adolescents. Data were collected using questionnaires and then analyzed using the Wilcoxon test. Based on the Wilcoxon test analysis results, the p-value was 0.001. The conclusion of this study showed that there was an effect of health education on the level of knowledge of young women about vaginal discharge (fluor albus). Health workers are expected to evaluate and conduct early education for young women regarding vaginal discharge (fluor albus) to prevent abnormal vaginal discharge (pathological fluor albus) so that they can improve the quality of health, especially in reproductive health.

Abstract

The prevalence of falls among patients in hospitals around the world is still relatively high. Technology is needed to detect the incidence of patients falling in hospitals. The aim of this study is to analyze technology to detect patient fall in hospital settings. A systematic literature review was chosen as the research design. The databases used to search for literature include Google Scholar, Science Direct, PubMed, and Springer using keywords combined with Boolean operators. The selection of articles is based on several criteria including the publication year 2017-2021, full-text articles, the research setting in a hospital, articles in English, and articles that used research design qualitative, quantitative, and mix-method. The Articles found according to the criteria were 13 articles. The findings showed that there are two types of technology found in this review which are wearable devices and ambient sensor devices. Most of the technical procedure is by connecting the technologies with a wireless network and uploading the data to the server and only a few technologies measure directly. This review also found the advantages and disadvantages of these two types of technology. The health service provider can choose technology by considering the results of the analysis that has been carried out by considering the type of technologies, working procedures, advantages, and disadvantages of the technology so the health service provider can choose the appropriate technology in the hospital.
