Abstract

Hallucinations could cause someone to be unable to distinguish between what was real and what was merely an illusion. During hallucinations, the client could react with suspicion, fear, curiosity, insecurity, anxiety, and confusion. In this case, Mr. H experienced auditory hallucinations in the form of male whispers. Spiritual dhikr therapy could be used as an approach to healing mental illness, emphasizing inner strength. This study aimed to apply spiritual dhikr therapy to patients with sensory perception disorders: auditory hallucinations. The method used was a case study on a patient with hallucinations, with spiritual dhikr therapy intervention provided for 7 days to the patient. The therapy included reciting the phrase "Alhamdulillah" 33 times, "Subhanallah" 33 times, "Astaghfirullah" 33 times, and "Allahu Akbar" 33 times over 10-15 minutes. The client underwent hallucination management intervention and was given spiritual dhikr therapy. After being conducted for 7 days, the client experienced a decrease in the level of hallucinations and an improvement in hallucination control. Improvement in hallucination control could be achieved by providing continuous hallucination management and spiritual dhikr therapy, enabling the client to awaken their will and belief and understand the techniques being taught. Conclusion: The application of spiritual dhikr therapy could yield positive results and serve as an effective non-pharmacological therapy for clients with auditory hallucinations or schizoaffective disorders

Abstract

The initial nursing assessment is a holistic record of the patient's condition and needs, which is used as a reference to determine effective and appropriate nursing interventions for the patient. Incomplete filling can affect the quality of health services provided to patients. This research aims to determine the description of compliance in filling out the initial nursing assessment by nurses at the hospital. This research was conducted from 21-26 October 2024 with a sample size of 68 medical record files. The design of this research is descriptive research. The results of this study show that of the eight components examined in this study, it was found that the highest level of completeness in filling out the initial nursing assessment form was in the physical assessment component of the patient, namely 35 medical records (51.4%), as well as the general assessment and assessment of the patient's medical history, namely as many as 33 medical records (48.5%). The component with the lowest completeness is the Gordon pattern assessment component, namely, zero medical records. The percentage of compliance for nurses is 89.7%, with the number of initial nursing assessment files being 61 files. This shows that the nurses are still not compliant in documenting the initial nursing assessment.

Abstract

Fluor albus is a common condition that occurs in pregnant women and can be caused by hormonal changes, infections, or poor hygiene. If not appropriately treated, fluor albus can increase the risk of infection in the reproductive tract, which can affect the health of the mother and fetus. Midwife communication plays an important role in providing practical education to improve the understanding and behavior of pregnant women in dealing with fluor albus. This study aims to analyze the communication between midwives and pregnant women in fluor albus education and identify effective methods in improving the understanding of pregnant women. This study used a qualitative approach with a phenomenological method. Data were collected through in-depth interviews with 10 midwives and 15 pregnant women who had received fluor albus education in antenatal services. Data analysis was carried out using thematic analysis techniques. The results showed that midwife communication methods involving verbal communication, educational media, and direct demonstrations improved the understanding of pregnant women. However, obstacles such as limited consultation time, varying levels of education, and social stigma related to fluor albus are still challenges in educational communication. This study concludes that effective communication between midwives and pregnant women can improve the understanding and behavior of mothers in dealing with fluor albus. Communication training for midwives and the use of digital technology in health education are recommended to increase the effectiveness of information delivery.

Abstract

Stunting is still a serious problem in many developing countries, including Indonesia. The government has taken various steps to address this condition, one of which is through the Supplementary Feeding Program (PMT). Baby food products containing moringa leaves are considered to be able to help in dealing with stunting. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of implementing a healthy diet with moringa leaf fortification in handling stunted toddlers. The research method used was a quasi-experiment involving 50 toddlers divided into two groups: 25 in the treatment group and 25 in the control group. The study showed increased height in toddlers given moringa leaf-based food through fortification. On average, toddler height increased by 2.9 cm after the intervention. The results of the paired sample t-test statistical test showed a significance value of 0.003 (<0.05), indicating that moringa leaf fortification effectively improved the nutritional status of stunted toddlers. These findings suggest that moringa fortification could be a viable, sustainable approach to combat stunting in resource-limited settings. However, further research through randomized controlled trials and longitudinal studies is recommended to validate these outcomes and explore broader applications in public health nutrition programs.

Abstract

Toilet training is one way to teach children to control bowel movements and urine. It is important to teach children to be independent in ablution and defecation. Toilet training is suitable for teaching children good habits from an early age. This study aimed to determine whether health education with audiovisual media affects the independence of toilet training in preschool children. The research method used is a pre-experimental design pretest and posttest group with a quantitative approach. The population of this study was all preschool, as many as 27 people. It shows that Before the intervention, it was found that independence had not been developed (BB) 0%, independence began to develop (MB) 25.9%, independence developed as expected (BSH) 40.7%, and independence was very well developed (BSB) 33.3%. It shows that after the intervention showed that independence did not develop (BB) 0%, independence began to develop (MB) 0%, independence developed as expected (BSH) 7.4% independence is very well developed (BSB) 92.6%. It shows that the average score before and after providing health education is -4.519, the standard deviation is 1.528, and the p-value is 0.000. Health education and audiovisual media influence the independence attitude of preschool children. Policymakers and healthcare institutions should prioritize incorporating digital tools into community health programs, particularly in underserved areas, to promote equitable access to essential developmental support.

Abstract

Anxiety in patients undergoing Transurethral Resection of the Prostate (TURP) surgery can have a significant impact on the physiological and psychological aspects of the patient. Anxiety in preoperative patients can result in surgery being postponed or canceled. One effort that can be made to reduce anxiety levels in preoperative TURP patients is to provide SEFT therapy. During tapping, there is an increase in the process of neurotransmitter signal travel, which reduces the regulation of the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal Axis (HPA axis), thereby reducing the production of stress hormones. This research method uses a case study, and pre-and post-implementation measurements are carried out. The sample used was one person. The research sample was given treatment, namely SEFT therapy, to reduce anxiety levels. The results of SEFT therapy were observed using the State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI) measuring instrument. There was a decrease in anxiety levels before and after treatment; namely, the STAI score decreased to 31 (moderate anxiety). SEFT therapy can reduce anxiety because the tapping mechanism in SEFT therapy has the function of releasing endorphin hormones. Endorphin hormones help reduce psychological symptoms such as anxiety.

Abstract

School-age children face various health challenges due to the suboptimal implementation of Clean and Healthy Living Behavior (PHBS), including irregular handwashing with soap and improper waste disposal. A lack of awareness regarding PHBS is one of the main contributing factors. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of an interactive educational approach using the Human Ludo game to enhance PHBS knowledge among school-age children. This research employed a one-group pretest-posttest design, with data analysis conducted using the Wilcoxon test. The results revealed a statistically significant increase in knowledge following the intervention (p-value = 0.000, significance level = 0.005), demonstrating the effectiveness of the Human Ludo game. Its interactive nature fosters active engagement, allowing children to better comprehend and retain health-related concepts. In conclusion, the Human Ludo game significantly improves children's knowledge of PHBS, providing an innovative, engaging, and effective learning method that can be widely applied in school-based health education programs. This game-based learning approach encourages participation, enhances knowledge retention, and promotes healthy behaviors. Future studies should explore the long-term effects of the Human Ludo game on knowledge retention and its potential applications across broader educational topics.
