Abstract

This paper analyzes the quality of Christian religious life in a pluralistic society based on the theological study of Matthew 22:34-40. Of course, previous researchers have examined the passage Matthew 22:34-40 with different studies. Thus, this article focuses on how the law of Christ's love remains relevant in a pluralistic world society. And the method used in this research uses a qualitative method which is built with a literature study approach and a Biblical hermeneutic approach. In realizing the quality of Christian religious life in a pluralistic society based on Matthew 22:34-40, the author finds that every Christian must be aware of and understand his calling in life in the midst of this heterogeneous world. The law of love based on Matthew 22: 34-40 is never out of date and remains relevant in every age, wherever and whenever. Loving God means at the same time loving fellow human beings. Ignoring the one thing between love for God and love for fellow human beings is the same as ignoring both. Love for God and love for fellow human beings are two laws that cannot be separated from one another. And the object for the application of God's law of love is the world and its pluralistic society. The quality of Christian religiosity can be seen from the way of life that loves God and also loves fellow human beings based on the law of love of Christ.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide understanding to Christians, churches, and Christian teachers in particular so that in every teaching they can carry out the great commission as the mission of the Lord Jesus through Education, especially in Papua , by making all nations disciples of Christ. Mission has the understanding that the way of salvation that God has given mankind is obtained in all the duties and responsibilities of His church. So mission encompasses the entire church's efforts to help the world experience deliverance from the bondage of sin and lead people to eternal life through faith and knowledge of Jesus Christ as the only way of salvation. Likewise, Education has a fairly broad meaning. In relation to mission, education can be interpreted as the efforts of Christian teachers to guide and direct students to the knowledge of Christ. The method used in this study is a descriptive qualitative method in which the author describes each observation and interview results obtained. The author focuses the location specifically on "SD YPK Elim Wouma Atas, Logonoba Village, Wouma District, Jayawijaya Regency, Papua ". The results of this study show that teachers at SD YPK Elim Wouma Atas have carried out mission tasks in a structured and scheduled manner and received support from the church and the Foundation. Thus carrying out the mission of Christ is not only limited to the environment or church building, but in every place and in all circumstances the gospel of Christ must still be carried out, without exception in educational environments such as schools.

Abstract

Elisha's act of cursing the children in 2 Kings 2:23-25 raises many perceptions and even makes it difficult for readers to understand texts like this. How could a man of God utter such a curse word? Therefore, the researcher investigated this topic using a qualitative method with an exegetical approach. The researcher found that this text is not problematic if the reader can understand the purpose behind Elisha's words. Prophecy is entirely God's decision and action for the benefit of His people. This is a special task that God has given him to do on this earth. Accepting and honoring God's messengers is a form of acceptance of God through the Word that is delivered. The truth they preach is the truth of God's grace for man to attain salvation in Christ. Humans are given two choices, namely accepting the truth of God's Word or turning away from God, because God has given free will for humans to choose. The punishment given to those who reject God is the eternal punishment to come.

Abstract

Paul was one of the biblical figures who had a leadership pattern that was widely praised for being effective and able to lead the congregation he served well. However, there are still many Christians who doubt him. In the end, the Apostle Paul's leadership was interpreted as materialistic leadership even though the Bible itself clearly states that Paul was an exemplary leader both physically and spiritually, but still they did not recognize Paul's leadership. Therefore, it is very important to have an understanding of Paul's exemplary leadership, especially when experiencing moments in leading the churches served. The purpose of this study is to answer and discuss Paul's exemplary leadership and its implications for today's leaders. The research method used in writing this article is a qualitative method. The findings of this article show that leadership is an inseparable part of human life, where leadership plays an important role for the continuity and journey of human life to get closer and there is an opportunity to glorify God, then become an active missionary in relying on God. Paul's exemplary leadership can be seen in any situation he still relies on God and dares to preach the gospel and strengthen and empower others to do what he did.

Abstract

The purpose of writing this article is to explain the importance of exemplary parental life in shaping character in the family. The study departs from the author's empirical observations, that there are some children today who are very good at parental attention and do not reflect Christian character as explained in this article. The method used in writing this article is a descriptive qualitative research method with a literature review approach. The results obtained in this article are that parents must place the family as a place to testify about the exemplary life in Christ, the family as an educational institution for children and Jesus as an exemplary teacher in the family. In this way parents align education and actions in shaping the character of children in the family. Because this is absolutely what parents must do as witnesses of Christ in the family.
