Abstract

Postmodernism cannot be separated from modernism. Modernism's paradigm that science is absolute and objective means that humans cannot judge it. This is where a new thought called postmodernism was born which became a continuation of modernism which gave a new view of science. This study uses a type of qualitative research with hermeneutic methods, descriptions and comparisons to answer the problem. The conclusion of this study shows that postmodernism is a movement that criticizes science for the tradition of modernism whose influence on rationalism, materialism and capitalism is supported by science and destroys human dignity. Postmodernism emerged due to the failure of modernism which raised human dignity and failed to bring human life to a better direction, free from violence.

Abstract

The Imago Dei that God gave to us from the beginning should be the basis and goal of every human being's life. The meaning of the image and likeness of God that has been damaged by sin has been restored through the redemptive work of Jesus Christ on the cross. This research is intended to see the extent of the relationship between salvation, Imago Dei and Christian life which becomes an effective means of evangelization and attracts people who do not yet know Christ and get their essence as a full human being who is happy and reaches its fullness. This research was conducted using a qualitative approach that describes how unbelievers see the Christian life in relation to the Imago Dei identity attached to it. The conclusion of this research is how believers in their lives as witnesses of Christ understand their identity as the image of God restored, live to do God's will, develop themselves correctly and bring up the character of imago Dei into a lifestyle.

Abstract

The rapid development of the disruption era has affected various aspects of life, including religious thought, which now faces challenges from agnostic thought. Agnosticism emerges as a view that doubts the existence of God and sees religion as archaic and inhibits the progress of thinking. This phenomenon further strengthens the idea that religion is irrelevant in the context of the times. The purpose of this study is to describe the role of Christian apologetics in facing the challenges of agnostic thinking in the era of disruption. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach with literature study as the main method. Data were obtained through the analysis of various literature sources, searching for biblical references, and studying phenomena in the field. This approach aims to provide practical solutions for Christians to remain steadfast in their faith despite the challenges of the times and agnostic thinking that can threaten their beliefs. In conclusion, biblically-grounded Christian apologetics can help Christians strengthen their faith in the midst of disruption and ensure that they maintain firm convictions in the face of contemporary ideological challenges.

Abstract

Post-truth is a phenomenon of subjective truth circulating within society at large, driven by technological advancements. Information disseminated widely in society often lacks prior validation. Truth in this post-truth era aligns with individual preferences without undergoing validation. Christian leaders bear a significant responsibility amidst the Christian community in this post-truth era. Integrity and morality are essential attributes for Christian leaders to navigate the post-truth era. The integrity and morality of Christian leaders should be founded upon the Biblical Word of God. Without integrity and morality, Christian leaders will struggle to guide the Christian community through this post-truth era. Christian leaders need to shine a light for the Christian community amidst this post-truth era. Through descriptive qualitative methodology, it can be concluded that integrity and morality form the foundation for Christian leaders to guide the Christian community through the post-truth era. Moral and integrity-driven leaders will instill similar moral values and integrity within the Christian community, enabling them to shine amidst the post-truth era.

Abstract

The idea for writing this scientific work came from the author's ministry experience, which often encountered questions about the inerrancy of the Bible, especially regarding the authenticity of 1 John 5:7-8 or the Comma Johanneum. The purpose of writing this scientific work is to find evidence that 1 John 5:7-8 is the Word of God revealed to the apostle John. The method used in this writing is a qualitative method with a literature study approach. From this research, evidence was found that, although the Comma Johanneum is not found in ancient Greek texts, this verse can be traced to an ancient Latin document called the Vetus Latina and from the writings of the church fathers, namely Tertullian, Ciprian, Athanasius, Origen, Augustine , Pricilian, Jerome, Gregory Nazianus and Johanes Chrisostomos whose writings still exist and have been preserved to this day. Thus the accusation that this verse is fake or a hoax has been successfully refuted.

Abstract

In the era of globalization and digitalization, the massive amount of information and religious content challenges the church and Christianity. The understanding of truth distorted by heretics who teach heretical teachings in the contemporary era is increasingly complex, threatening the stability of society, the harmony of the Body of Christ, as well as the foundation of religious belief and individual spirituality. The purpose of this paper emphasizes that the church can maintain the unity and integrity of the Christian faith and protect its congregation from destructive and misleading influences. Using a descriptive qualitative method with a literature study approach, it can be concluded that the theological challenge of Christianity in understanding and overcoming heretics who teach heresies in the contemporary era. In theological challenges in understanding and overcoming contemporary heresies as a review of spiritual reality and the role of the church. That is, the church and Christianity can analyze and understand the nature of contemporary heresy. Where heresy in a theological perspective on spiritual reality can have an impact on Christianity. so it is hoped that the role of the church in actualizing and the role of the church in overcoming heresy and providing in- depth education for church members.

Abstract

This study aims to analyse learning strategies through demonstration method in developing children's creativity. The demonstration method was chosen because of the ability of students to convey concepts visually and practically, making it easier for them to understand what the teacher has given. This research uses a descriptive qualitative method conducted in the classroom by involving various activities that encourage exploration and active participation in the classroom. The results showed that the application of this method significantly improved children's creativity, as seen from the increase in critical thinking, innovation, and self-expression. The findings indicate that the demonstration method can be an effective tool in the learning process to stimulate children's creativity.

Abstract

This study describes the role of ethical, theologically based counseling in overcoming promiscuity among teenagers. Promiscuity, which is becoming a social phenomenon that is increasingly widespread in society, is influenced by various internal and external factors that have a negative impact on the physical, mental health and academic achievements of teenagers. Through a descriptive qualitative method approach, the researcher explains theoretically and practically about promiscuity with the role of guidance and counseling in overcoming promiscuity ethically and theologically using a literature study approach and by collecting existing data and facts that occur in the field related to information. in discussing the theme, based on appropriate and appropriate reading references which form the basis for explaining the role of counseling guidance in theological ethics to overcome promiscuity. This approach also involves collaboration between counselors, families, and religious institutions to create an environment conducive to the moral and spiritual development of adolescents. The results show that applying this approach can be a holistic solution in facing the challenges of promiscuity among the younger generation.

Abstract

Project-Based Learning in christian religious education is an innovative approach that is very effective in significantly improving student learning achievement. This method is used to encourage students to be actively involved in the learning process by using religious concepts with real projects in daily life. The purpose of this study is to explore the impact of the PBP model on students' understanding and skills in Christian Religious Education. Through the implementation of Project-Based Learning. Therefore, it can be concluded that the PBP strategy encourages students to be able to work together in groups and create relevant product results that are in accordance with Christian values, so that it can be said to be an effective alternative in Christian Religious Education which not only focuses on material understanding but also understanding in the formation of relevant holistic character and skills of students so that students become more interested. enthusiastic and enthusiastic in learning. The purpose of this study is to provide a deeper understanding and understanding of this Project-Based Learning method, the hope for teachers and educators to be able to design and design activities that are effective, fun and inspiring in supporting the development of students' spirituality in the context of Christianity.

Abstract

Technology with all its developments has become an integral part of the lives of today's teenagers. The extensive use of technology, such as smart phones, social media, gaming, and other things related to digitalization, can have a significant impact on the psychological development of teenagers. In this situation, the church, family and Christian ministry institutions have a very important role to play, which is why a correct understanding of digitalization and all the impacts it has, both positive and negative, is needed. Uncontrolled use of technology can affect the mental health of Teenagers. This influence can take the form of watching negative content, deviant behaviors of bullying or body shaming, online gambling, and other shows that can have an impact on the psychology of Christian teenagers. This impact is what the author will examine in this paper. The author uses a descriptive method where the author will use journals and literature relevant to this writing. These literature sources are used as sources of information in order to analyze and describe the research in accordance with this journal. The author hopes that this research can provide information and contributions for churches, families, and Christian institutions to approach, assist and even handle teenage youth so that digitalization can have a spiritual and positive impact on Christian youth.
