Aim Jurnal Penelitian is a peer-reviewed journal dedicated to publishing high-quality research on various aspects of religiosity, Islam, and culture in Indonesia. As a predominantly Muslim country, Indonesia is home to a diverse range of local cultures. Islam, which originated outside of Indonesia, brought with it not only religious doctrines but also cultural influences. The interaction between Islam— as the majority religion— and the unique cultural identity of Indonesia is a central theme of the journal. The journal focuses on exploring the dynamics between Islam and Indonesian identity, examining how the two intersect and influence each other. Scope The dynamics between Islam and Indonesian identity enable a diverse range of scientific studies. Therefore, the scope of Jurnal Penelitian includes issues related to: - The relationship between Islam and local culture in Indonesia, - Islamic movements vis-a-vis the state in Indonesia, - Mainstreaming religious moderation in Indonesia, - Islamic education and appreciation of local culture in Indonesia.

Abstract

قد تعلّم المتعلّم اللغة العربية تعلّماً تامّاً قويّاً، إذا تعلّم شخص اللغة العربية للتحدّث، فليس بواجب أن يهتمّ النحو اهتماماً كاملاً، إلا إذا تعلّم اللغة العربية الفصحى الصحيحة فلا بدّ أن يتعلّمها تعلّماً صحيحاً. لذلك يُعرَف أن تعلّم اللغة العربية في المدرسة العالية السلامية سِمِبانج كولون مهمٌّ ذلك كلّه، حتى يُرى أن أبنائها يستطيعون أن يقرأوا ويترجموا ويسمعوا الكلام العربي جيّداً. اعتماداً على هذا الموقع يُلاحَظ أن علم التحفيظ جداً في إعانة تعلّم اللغة العربية سِمِبانج كولون، علماً أن نتائج اللغة العربية أكثر تلاميذنا أعلى قيمة (يعني بين ٧٨–٨٠) على حسب تقدير القيمة من المدرسة العالية السلفية سِمِبانج كولون كَالُونجان (يعني بين ٧٠–٧٦). هذا يدلّ على أن تقدير القيمة للتلاميذ فيها جيّداً أو جيّداً جدّاً.

Abstract

The object of this study is the students of SMPN 4 Batang Bandar Central Java. It focused on their psycological side relating to their self-concepts. It is a qualitative-phenomenological reasearch. To collect data, it use self-report, rating scale, observation the studentsí behavior, in-depth interviews and caregiver. Based on the data and analysis, it can be concluded that their self-concepts have changed from positive to negative (faded) through successive stages, whether the stages were experienced by them in a whole or in a part. Therefore, the strategy to recover them is needed.

Abstract

The focus of this research is the widespread phenomenon of learning to read, write and count in early childhood around the District of Wiradesa, Pekalongan. Why such a phenomenon appears? How the model of learning to read, write and count in early childhood around the District of Wiradesa, Pekalongan? And how it impacts their ability to read, write and count and their psychological. To answer these questions, observation, in-depth interview and documentation were used in this study. To analysis data, review and reflection, exploration, and reduction were used. The results showed that the phenomenon of learning to read, write and count in early childhood in Pekalongan appeared on concerns of parents with a basic level of selection into the elementary school. Many early childhood activities were included in the part-time formal learning. Most of them also followed that lesson in educational institutions. Consequently, those who were following the course outside their formal school mastered faster, although their psychological impact tended to quickly become bored with learning. Meanwhile, the introduction of learning to read, write and count in early childhood in kindergarten was slower because it did not focus solely on that learning, but dominantly in play activities. On the one hand, the kids did not get bored and did not realize they were learning to read, write and count, because learning is integrated in play activities.

Abstract

Packaged products including Arabic food circulating in Indonesia are made in three main contexts: first, the emergence of neo-liberal strategy in the free market area (at the economic level), and the rise of fundamentalist Islamic movements at the religious level of religion; second, the implementation of halal certification on any food product by MUI; third, Arabic has a strategic position in the Indonesian Muslim community. This study contains semiotic study of communication to other forms of text and discourse and symbols of language on the packaged food products including Arabic language circulating in Indonesia. This study does not only uncover denotative and connotative meanings as a sign, but also the ideologies behind it. This study is important to do because language, including advertising and packaged product, loaded with power because in itself, it appeares as a representative of and space for performances (deployment) a wide range of power. This study managed to lift the veils (social, cultural, political, economic, religious, and others), even in its most subtle and unconscious because it is natural and reasonable.

Abstract

There are three focus issues in this research, which reveal expectations of child labor on education; ideal school model in their view and the type of knowledge and skills required by them. Observation and in-depth interview were used to obtain data to answer the issues. This research took place in Pekalongan City. The collected data were analyzed by using the interactive model. The results of this study revealed that the majority of child labor still had hopes for an increase in knowledge and skills, while some others felt that the current conditions had been enough for them and they did not have any expectations about school and skills enhancement. It also revealed that the ideal school model in their imagination was that the time and place of learning was flexible, fun friends and teachers, many practical matter, the cost was affordable and it could be used as a vehicle for the development of their talent and creativity. While the knowledge and skills required by them were to sustain their daily needs, such as trading, operating computers, drawing cartoons, salon or beauty, cooking and automotive.

Abstract

In Islamic economics, water is considered a blessing from God that gives and sustains life, and purifies humankind and the earth. It belongs to the community as a whole—no individual literally owns water. As a sustainer of life, it is important to manage and distribute water properly so that all communities can access it for consumption, such as drinking and washing, and for production, such as farming. Unfortunately, water management in Kaliurang hamlet of Kembanglangit village is not carried out properly, so the community living there cannot access sufficient water and suffers from water and food crises. This article discusses the problem of water management there from the perspective of Islamic economics's view.

Abstract

Ngemplang (javanese term to call nonpayment deed of obligation) has been frightening many Batik industrialists in Pekalongan. In short, it harmed Batik industrial badly. They should get some profits for their work, just because of partner who broke the agreement by not settle his obligation, it would be gone and away. Unfortunately, the cheating practice has looked a like to be an habit in Pekalongan Batik industrials. So, I intended to study closer this phenomena and brought the facts to you. Therefore, I gathered the primary data (field research) purposively in order to show the details of Ngemplang deed in Pekalongan Batik industrials, ins and outs. I did so to the dispute resolution of it. The data were analyzed by using symbolic interactions theory and market-firm one. The result show us that ngemplang might occurred in every single chains of industry: from supplying phase, in the beginning, up to marketing one. To arrange the ngemplang dispute, the victims (owner) has performed all the way in which they can draw their credits back. Somehow, they collected the claim from ngemplang doer by hook or by crook, by using mediation; hiring some debt collectors; and/or seizing the debitorís assets/properties, activa and passiva.

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the capability of certified teachers of Islamic elementary school located in Pekalongan City in preparing lesson plan. Fourteen informants -- consist of 6 government teachers and 8 non-government teachers -- were investigated. The data were taken from the lesson plan documents prepared by them and then followed up with an interview. The results showed that: (1) there are many teachers who have not been able to develop their own learning devices, and (2) there are still very much in error that occurred in the lesson plan prepared by them. There are several constraints faced by them. They are: (1) their knowledge is still lack, their innovation and creativity were not maximized; (2) the pattern of development for them had not touched their academic aspect; (3) the orientation of the supervisions which only leaded to the administrative aspects; and (4) their independence lack in preparing learning device, which is part of the curriculum.

Abstract

This study was to explore: (1) the construction of business ethics that was formulated by al-Ghazali and Adam Smith, (2) the similarities and differences between the two menís business ethics, and (3) the relevance of their business ethics to the world modern business and economics. Business ethics constructed by al-Ghazali and Smith in the plains of praxis is not much different. Business ethics constructs built by al-Ghazali based on principles such as good faith orientation of the world and the hereafter, honesty, self-interest and social balance, and proper behavior / deeds. On another side, business ethics constructs built by Smith, based on fairness, altruism, justice and liberal (economic freedom). Good business ethics are introduced by both highly relevant to be used as a reference staple in modern business ethics.

Abstract

This study aimed to determine: (1) how was the design of character building by learning mathematics, and (2) whether the character building by learning mathematics could produce better learning outcome of mathematics than conventional mathematics learning. To answer these two questions, I used Research and Development (R & D) which consists of a preliminary study to obtain preliminary data on student learning outcomes before being given treatments of character building by learning mathematics. The next phase is the design of the character building by learning mathematics. Further testing and revision in class and repeated until it found the best learning model. From the first problem formulation, qualitative data analysis, such as the design of character building in learning mathematics was produced. The results of the qualitative analysis shows, character building by learning mathematics was quite effectively applied to implant positive character in students. To answer the second question, statistical analysis was used. The population in this study was all students of class VII of MTsN in Buaran of Pekalongan which totaled 220. By random cluster sampling technique two classes (a class VII A and VII B) was chosen. Class VII A was as an experiment class, and class VII B was as a control class. Data were taken by the test method, experimental classroom observation, and documentation. The data was then processed with an average difference test. Results of statistical analysis obtained t = 3.33 > t table = 1.67. This meant that learning achievement of the students in the experimental class, which was implemented character education in mathematics was better than the students who were taught by conventional methods. Based on these results, it could be conclude that the character building in mathematics was better than the conventional method of learning mathematics.
