Abstract

PT. XYZ is a manufacturing company in the automotive industry that produces car seats. This thesis explains how to determine the amount of spare part inventory that is more economical and efficient. The technique for determining inventory in this research is determining the most economical price (Economic Order Quantity), safety stock, reordering (Reorder Point), and the number of orders per period (Period Order Quantity). Based on the results of research using the EOQ method, the number of spare part purchases was 112,149 pieces, the economic inventory cost (EOQ) was IDR 3,350,290 for reorders per period (ROP), with a quantity of 139,595 pieces. The quantity per period (POQ) is around 99 orders with a total quantity of 532,372.40 pieces, for inventory costs according to the period (POQ) is IDR 3,195,422. Conclusions and this research shows that the order quantity is more economical compared to the method used by PT XYZ.

Abstract

Sharia financial services have recently become a sector that is quite popular with the public because they can be an alternative for carrying out mu'amalah transactions in a shari'ah manner. XYZ Cooperative is one of the sharia financial services in the city of Bandung. However, data from the last 12 months shows that the graph of members leaving the XYZ cooperative continues to increase, which is thought to be due to the quality of service and miscommunication between members' perceptions and the institution's policies. This research aims to determine customer satisfaction based on service quality dimensions and determine priority attributes that must be improved in the XYZ cooperative to enhance the quality of service. The sample for this research was 90 respondents. The methods used are the SERVQUAL and CSI methods to determine the level of satisfaction of members of the XYZ cooperative and determine the priority attributes that must be improved, followed by the kaizen method as a proposal for improvement by applying PDCA. Data collection was carried out using a questionnaire and processed with the help of IBM SPSS Statistics software. The results of this research show the overall satisfaction of members of cooperatives using the kaizen method.

Abstract

Currently, companies are required to compete in maintaining the existence of customer satisfaction so that the company can survive amidst intense competition. In order to maintain intense competition, productivity in the production line must be increased. The impact of increasing activity on the production line is that the workload on production employees increases, which causes several problems. One of the problems faced by employees is excessive workload due to physical and mental stress. Conditions like this are being experienced by PT XYZ Purwakarta. From this condition, it is necessary to carry out a workload analysis. One of the appropriate workload methods for this analysis is the National Aeronautics and Space Administration Tax Load Index (NASA TLX) workload analysis method. NASA TLX is a workload analysis method used to analyze the mental workload faced by workers with several indicators that are used as assessments such as mental demand (MD), physical demand (PD), temporal demand (TD), performance (P), effort ( EF) and frustrated level (FR) (Hart & Stavelend, 1988).

Abstract

The current industrial development makes companies compete to maintain and improve the quality of their products. This research is aimed at identifying the causes of defects, as well as reducing defective products and providing alternative repair proposals. This study uses the help of the seven tools method to analyze data. The data used for research needs is a production report that contains information on the number of products and the number of defective products in the period July 2023 – June 2024. The results obtained in this study are known to have three types of defects in Knob 30VYG508-206^V products, namely Spots, Bubbles, and Burries. From the results of the Pareto diagram, it can be seen that Bubrry's defect is the most dominant type of defect with 34%. Some of the factors that cause defects based on fishbone diagrams are human, machine, and method factors. The proposals given in this study are the procurement of training for employees, to the formulation of SOPs that regulate the manufacturing process and standards for the production of Knob 30VYG508-206^V products in detail.

Abstract

PT KAI is a land transport service company. The number of people who switch to this mode of transport makes PT KAI make efforts in improving services to maintain public trust in order to continue to choose train services as the main land transport. Purwakarta Station is a station within the Bandung 2 operating area that serves local and long-distance train travel. Purwakarta Station has a single line from Purwakarta to Ciganea and a doublie line between Purwakarta to Cibungur. To improve the performance and quality of the railway and continuous innovation in its maintenance, in this case RAMS as a performance indicator in a maintenance management and railway service indicator. RBD is used to analyse the reliabilitu and availability of a system, FTA is used to identify the factors that cause damage to arise. FMEA is used to determine and evaluate potential failures and identify which maintenance actions need to be taken to reduce the chamce of failure and also increse safety in the railway environment.

Abstract

One of the biggest challenges faced by garment manufacturing companies is optimizing the distribution of products to improve operational efficiency and minimize costs. Timely and effective distribution is crucial to ensure customer satisfaction and maintain the company's competitiveness. Therefore, efforts need to be made to optimize the distribution system in garment manufacturing companies by utilizing the latest technology, one of which is through simulation approaches. The aim of this research is to apply simulation to optimize the clothing distribution at CV. XYZ and provide recommendations for improving efficiency and reducing distribution costs. To achieve the research objectives, a case related to the distribution system was selected and analyzed in depth, specifically at CV. XYZ. To analyze this case, this research employs a case study strategy focusing on data collection from relevant distribution systems. One of the tools used to describe the distribution process systematically is a flowchart, which provides a visual overview of the sequence and relationships between various stages in the distribution process. The simulation results indicate that the distribution system at CV. XYZ could be improved by increasing the schedule from once to twice, rather than by adding distribution units. In terms of costs, this approach reduces the expenses, with the additional schedule only adding a fuel cost of IDR 46,800,000, while adding units would incur a cost of IDR 615,600,000.

Abstract

The manufacturing industry is experiencing rapid growth in technology and machine maintenance methods to improve operational efficiency and corporate competitiveness. PT Suzuki Indomobil Motor, as a motor vehicle manufacturer, utilizes various machines and equipment in its production processes, one of which is the compressor that serves as the primary air supply source. Failures or malfunctions in the compressor can lead to increased operational costs and significant production downtime. Therefore, an optimal preventive maintenance strategy is required. This study aims to analyze the effectiveness of preventive maintenance using the Mean Time Between Failure (MTBF) and Mean Time to Repair (MTTR) methods to enhance machine reliability and production efficiency. The results indicate that the compressor's availability value is above 95%, signifying that the machines are in good condition. With a more optimized preventive maintenance plan, companies can reduce repair costs, minimize downtime, and enhance machine reliability in the long term.
