Abstract

Abstracts This research aims to analyze the interaction between commercial banks in Indonesia and commercial banks in Malaysia on bank financial performance reports seen from the ratio aspect of bank financial reports. The method used in this research is a quantitative descriptive method by knowing the existence of the Dependent variable value on the variable (Independent) or more without making relationships and comparisons with other variables. In terms of bank value using the 3 - RLS implementation route, namely, the bank's Profitability Ratio is calculated by looking for Return on Assets (ROA), Return on Equity (ROE), Net Profit Margin (NPM), and Operating Expenses / Operating Income (BOPO). The Liquidity Ratio is calculated by finding the Quick Ratio (QR), Loan to Deposit Ratio (LDR), and Loan to Assets Ratio (LAR). The Solvency Ratio is calculated by looking for the Capital Adequacy Ratio (CAR) and Debt to Equity Ratio (DER). The results of this research evaluate and see the feasibility of 3 commercial banks in Indonesia and Malaysia against the Central Bank using the Triple - RLS method concept. As for commercial banks, there is policy integration with central bank criteria. Therefore, there needs to be discipline and commitment in improving financial performance in financial reports between Indonesian and Malaysian commercial banks.

Abstract

The term Islamic economics has existed since the religion of Islam emerged in the world. Yusuf alQardhawi described Islamic Economics as an economic system rooted in religious principles. According to him, this is a system inspired and regulated by Allah SWT, with goals and laws originating from His teachings. All economic activities, such as production, distribution, consumption, and international trade, are directed by divine principles and aim to gain God's approval. In an era of globalization that tends to ignore morals and ethics, Yusuf al-Qardhawi emphasizes the importance of Economic Ethics, which he considers to be the guardian of economic sustainability. This research uses a qualitative approach to explore and explain qualities and social aspects that cannot be measured quantitatively. The scientific method used is library research, which relies on data and information from various sources in the literature. From a production perspective, Islamic Economics encourages everyone to work diligently and compete to find work, because this is considered an obligation and honor, as well as the right of every individual. In the consumption aspect, the wise use of wealth is emphasized, remembering that ownership of wealth is not the main goal, but rather a means to enjoy God's gifts. In distribution, the main principles are freedom and justice. Freedom in this case rejects oppression that hampers the lives of ordinary people and controls their sources of sustenance. Justice is defined as appropriate placement in the position that it should be.

Abstract

Banking competitiveness can be reflected in the level of operational efficiency. Measuring performance based on efficiency is very crucial for banks. Banks that have better performance must manage efficiency levels to be better able to compete. This research aims to determine the level of efficiency of commercial banks and the potential for improving commercial bank inefficiencies. This type of research is quantitative descriptive research. The sample taken used purposive sampling, namely taking KBMI 4 banks, namely commercial banks which have core capital of more than 70 trillion, consisting of Bank BNI, Bank Mandiri, Bank BCA and Bank BRI. The data analysis method uses Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA) and the software used is MaxDEA. The results of this research show that the KBMI 4 bank that has achieved the most perfect efficiency levels, namely an efficiency score equal to 1, is BRI.  The reason for Bank KBMI's inefficiency 4 is that most of the resources used have not been able to increase interest income and fee based income. Potential improvements that can be made are by increasing Third Party Funds, increasing total assets, reducing labor costs and switching manual transaction strategies to digital transactions

Abstract

Excessive consumption and wastefulness have become critical issues in modern finance, especially in the digital era that facilitates consumerist behavior through online shopping and easy access to credit. This article explores the impact of consumerist lifestyles on individual and global economic stability and its relevance to the Islamic prohibition of wastefulness as stated in QS. Al-Isra: 26-27. This study employs a qualitative descriptive approach using thematic exegesis to analyze the concept of israf in the Qur'an. Findings reveal that consumerist behaviors, such as impulsive buying and consumer debt, harm financial stability and psychological well-being while exacerbating social inequality. QS. Al-Isra: 26-27 offers moral guidance on prudent financial management, avoiding wastefulness, and prioritizing social responsibility. This article emphasizes the importance of Islamic finance education, the use of Islamic financial technology, and the application of maqasid shariah principles to establish a sustainable economic system. Hence, Islamic values can serve as an effective solution to address the challenges of consumerist lifestyles in the modern era.
