Abstract

This study aims to describe the learning process during the Covid-19 pandemic and the obstacles faced by teachers at SDN 03 Batursari Pemalang. This research is a field research using a qualitative approach. The subjects of this study were principals, teachers, students, and guardians of students at SDN 03 Batursari Pemalang. The results showed that learning during the Covid-19 pandemic used a combination of online and offline learning. Online learning by utilizing the WhatsApp group application as directed communication and to give assignments to students. In addition, the teacher also uses the youtube platform to explain the material and the google form is used to do assignments in the form of quizzes or description questions. Offline learning, commonly referred to as study groups, where learning is carried out face-to-face is limited while still paying attention to health protocols and an estimated maximum time of one hour of learning.

Abstract

This article describes the challenges and strategies for maintaining the Indonesian language for Indonesian elementary school students who are currently abroad for a non-permanent period. This research was conducted qualitatively. The subject of this research is the challenges and strategies for maintaining the Indonesian language in Indonesian elementary school students who are (schooled) abroad for a non-permanent time. The object of this research is elementary school students of Indonesian citizenship in South Korea. Data were collected using observations and interviews with students and their parents from September 2021-March 2022. Then, the data were analyzed qualitatively descriptively. Based on the results of the study, it was found that the challenges of Indonesian elementary school students living temporarily in South Korea in maintaining language were in the use of the official Indonesian language, both written and spoken. The strategies found in maintaining the Indonesian language include parents teaching Indonesian language using textbooks and teaching materials from pages provided by the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia and students taking Indonesian language lessons through direct online courses with subject teachers from Indonesia.

Abstract

In today's era dating is a common thing among primary schoolstudent. The occurrence of this dating trend causes things that have a negative impact. This sexual behavior can occur because of the lack of self-limiting such as the low religiouscharacter of students. This article is intended to investigate the effect of religious character on sexual behavior of elementary school students. This type of research is a field research using a quantitative approach and taking the subject of studentsclass 6 SD Islam Al-Bayan Wiradesa Pekalongan. There is a population of class 6 (6A and 6B) totaling 47 students, the entire population is used as a sample (total sampling). The data were collected using a Likert scale questionnaire statement. The results of the data are processed through statistical calculations from preliminary analysis, prerequisite tests, and hypothesis testing using SPSS V.26. The data obtained from the students' religious character is very high at 107.87, sexual behavior is very low at30.38, and there is a significant negative influence between religious characters on sexual behavior by 95.4%.

Abstract

This study aims to develop a learning video based on the scientific approach of ethnoscience on single and mixed substances that is feasible and effective on the learning motivation. This research is research and development (R&D) method with a 4D development design. The subjects of this research were media experts, material experts, and fifth grade students of SD Negeri 3 Pekuncen for the 2020/2021 Academic Year. Data collection techniques used interviews, object study expert assessment questionnaires, media learning expert assessment questionnaires, learning motivation questionnaires, and learning implementation observations. The data analysis technique used quantitative descriptive analysis and hypothesis testing using simple linear regression. The results of the learning media expert assessment were 90% (very feasible), while the results of the material expert assessment were 82.50% (very feasible). The results of the regression analysis obtained the value of F count > F table, which is 27,176 > 4,965. In conclusion, the learning video based on the scientific approach of ethnoscience on single substance and mixed substance development results was feasible and effective in influencing learning motivation for grade V Elementary School.

Abstract

Education is one of the driving factors for determining superior human resources for the progress of the nation. The existence of the media will help achieve goals more effectively and efficiently. Thematic learning is an integrated learning that uses a theme as the main focus and provides a meaningful experience for students as a whole. The low interest in students' learning as indicated by the value of students who have not achieved minimum mastery is the background of this research, so thatthe use of audio-visual media is examined for its influence on integrative thematic learning.This study uses a quantitative research approach with a descriptive correlation model and was carried out in February 2020 with a population of 210 students and a sample of 70students. The data collection techniques used observation, interviews, documentation and questionnaires. The results of this study concluded that: 1) the use of audio-visual media in integrative thematic learning was in the good category, with a percentage of 52.86% or 37 students, 2) students' interest in learning in integrative thematic learning was in the good category with a percentage of 48, 57% or 34 students, and 3) The use of audio-visual media has a positive effect on learning interest in integrative thematic learning with r0 = 0.624 greater than r1 at a significant level of 5% (r1 = 6.235) and 1% (r1 = 0.306). Madrasas are expected to learn more often using audio-visual media, especially material that may not be accessible to students' minds. Audio visual media learning can be applied at all grade levels.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to know the ability level of scientific reasoningability of the 6th-semester students in the PGMI study program, IAIN Pekalongan. Scientific reasoning is one of the ability that should be owned by each teacher to be able to familiarize students to find a concept knowledge through how to think as a scientist.This study uses descriptive method. The total sample of this study is 70 students. Students’ scientific reasoningability was measured by test that adapted from Modified Lawson Classroom Test of Scientific Reasoning (MLCTSR). MLCTSR consist of 12 two-tier multiple choice questions. MLCTSR consists of six aspects, i.e., conservation of mass and volume, proportional reasoning, controlling the variable, probabilistic reasoning, correlational reasoning, and hypothetical deductive reasoning. The result of this research shows that the levels of students’ scientific reasoning skills were classified into three categories, i.e., 85,71% concrete operational, 10% transitional operational, and 4.29% formal operational. Scientific reasoning aspect has not understood yet by most of the students was proportional reasoning and controlling variable aspect. As for the aspects that understand well by students was conservation of mass and volume.

Abstract

This study aims to 1) Describe the errors made by students in solving addition and subtraction problems based on HOTS integers, 2) Describe the causes of errors made by students in working on addition and subtraction problems based on HOTS integers.This research is a descriptivequantitative research. Data collection techniques in this study were written test techniques, observation, interviews, and dosumentation. The research instrument consisted of a test sheet, an observation guide, and an interview guide. Test the validity ofthe data used in this study using triangulation. The data analysis technique used Milles and Huberman model analysis ehich consisted of data presentation, and drawing conclusions.The results of this study indicate that the errors made by students are (1)errors in the final answer (31,22%); (2) errors in undestanding the core (32,18%); (3) errors in the completion step (20,45%); (4) errors in reading the questions (0%). This is because students do not understand the concept, so students are not able to findsolutions in solving problems in the problem. So thet students do not find the results correctly and cause students to make mistakes in working on the questions.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the effect of environmental literacy oriented problem-based learning on the critical thinking skills of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students. The method used is quasi-experimental and the research design used is a non-equivalent control group design. The object of this research is the fifth-grade students of MI Darul Ulum, totaling 39 people consisting of 20 experimental class students and 19 control class students. The data collection instrument in this study was an observation and test instrument consisting of 5 questions about critical thinking. The data obtained were then analyzed using the t-test with the help of the SPSS application. Based on the data analysis,the results showed that there was a significant difference between the class that used the environmental literacy-oriented problem-based learning model and the class that continued to use the conventional learning model with an at-count value of 2.154 > 1.687 and also based on a significant value (2 tailed) 0.038 < 0.05 so that Ho is rejected. It can be concluded that there is an effect of the environmental literacy oriented problem-based learning model on the critical thinking skills of Madrasah Ibtidaiyah students.
